dimension conflict

could you help me to know why the dimension differnet in 2 datasheets while the supplier package is SOT-23 with pincount 3 pins

> the dimension for first diagram is  ( Length = 3.04(Max)    -    Width = 1.75(Max)   -  Height = 1.3(Max)  )

> the dimension for second diagram is  ( Length = 2.9    -    Width = 1.3   -  Height = 0.95  )

i think the 2 parts should have the same dimension because it have  same package and pincount .

why there are tolerance in dimension and not unified for same pincount and supplier package .

The two devices you mentioned come from completely different divisions: the first is an automotive Schottky BAT54-Y, the other an industrial shunt reference LM4040. Only the pin spacing is standardised for SOT23-3L, the package dimensions can differ slightly depending on the manufacturing machine currently used. The respective data sheet is always decisive.
