Is there any difference in torque or other performance parameters between the L6480 & L6482?

The two devices use different control methods
L6480 voltage modepros
- High microstepping resolution- Smoothness- No shunt resistorcons
- More sensitive to the variation of the parameters and resonances (some of these variations are compensated by the ST algorithm)- Not suitable for full-step operationL6482 advanced current control
pros
- Robustness of the control (closed loop)cons- Lower microstepping resolution- Require the shunt resistorThe output torque you can obtain with the two control methods is almost the same, but the L6482 could have a boost at high speed thanks to the closed loop operation.
