Dear Moderator,
I have worked with ST7(8 bit micos) micros quite well. Now, I want to use the STR7 for a project. If we buy the RVI -ICE/ME hardware for STR7 can we use that tool with the ARM RVDS2.1 compiler/debugger etc.? or we have to purchase the ST specific license for the compiler/debugger?? I believe the ME tool costs $200. We have a license for ARM Relview compiler. regards2006-03-12 08:04 PM
Hi Zouh,
Thanks for the information. Do i have to make any changes in the RVDS2.1 tools, if i connect the STR7 with the RVI-ICE (provided by ARM)? Thanks again. venky2006-03-13 12:15 AM
It is the Realview ICE tool used for the ARM boards. e.g. CP & versatile boards provided by ARM. ARM supplies these boards.

hi zouh,
Thanks for the info. One more question. I have seen ST web site. They say that the micro edition is available with a trial version of RVDK for ST which costs $200. I believe the trial version s/w works for 45 days. But does it also have any code size limitation. For e.g. it can compile only 2 Kbytes of code etc.? Thank you very much.
