Can I program ST6230 with the same tools as for ST6220? like ST622x kit (programmer). Are the signals between programmer and chip are the same in both cases???
Thanks for any help Pawel2003-10-22 09:25 PM
Yes,you can program ST6230 microcontroller using ICP connector of ST622X starter kit by following the sequence :
1.First of all connect the ICP connector of the ST622X kit to the application board(made for ST6230) as described in ST623X starter kit manual (under ICP programing). 2.Connect PC parallel port to the ST622X kit and power it(while keeping the kit in Prog mode). 3.Then choose ST623X kit in Winee and select ST6230 device. 4.Blank check it and program the device the program as usual. In fact when we are using the ICP connector, we use a general interface, then we have only to choose the device. When chosing the device, choose first the family which is 623X for ST6230 and then the device(ST6230). If your application board is not powered by the Starter kit, you must connect it to a 5V power supply before you start programming.
