Hi,
I have been trying to design a double stage single phase grid connected PV Microinverter system.
I came across an Application Note AN4070, in which you have designed a 250W grid connected Microinverter.
I tried to follow the procedure and design and simulate a system in MATLAB, but my system is not working properly. I have designed the MPPT Block, and it works just fine. I believe the problem lies in the Inverter stage.
I have few questions and would really appreciate any help or guidance from your side.
1. While looking at Current Control Algorithm, I realized that the alpha and beta components taken for Grid Voltage (Fig. 20) and Current (Fig. 21) are opposite to each other. Can you please help me understand why they are measured in such a way or maybe point me towards a resource that can help me understand the theory behind it.
2. I would also like some help in designing the PID blocks for the Current Control Loop. I understand the concept, but I am unable to implement it in MATLAB.
I am looking forward to your reply. Any help is appreciated.
Regards

Welcome @RJ7044, to the community!
Unfortunately, you have selected an application note for a tool that was discontinued a long time ago. Although normally all documents are then destroyed, some documents can still be found under STEVAL-ISV003V1. Unfortunately, STMicroelectronics can no longer provide support, but perhaps someone in the community will be able to answer your questions.
The question asked at the same time at OLS (internal ticket # 00230240) will probably be answered in the same way.
Sorry not being able to give you a more pleasant answer.
Regards
/Peter
