I want to implement an FEC (forward error correction) in my ST7538 modem. What algorithm you had use ??? can you give me a suggestion :)

Error Correction?

Well, I am using the old Hamming code.

The amount of hamming bits to be used is up to you to decide...

But there is a class of FEC codes called TURBO CODES that are much more efficient, but they need a lot of processing power.

Hi everybody,

I'm working with ST7538. I'm transmit between neutral fase and ground line to avoid problem in trifase system with 132,5 Khz frequency and 2400 baud. In some site I have problem of noise and the CD/PD line toggle. This problem occure some hours a day. By your esperience should I change some parameters as frequency or baud rate to improve the comunication ?

I'm use a preamble byte every transmission to syncronize the comunication but during noise doesn't work correct.

Have you suggest me a way to avoid noise by software ?

What is the best configuration of register to avoid noise and have best performance ?

Thanks to everybody help me....

Hi Everybody,

another problem I have is a noise on clock CLR/T. In some device it's a stable but in other the clock swing. The hardware and components are the same. If I disconnect the transformer from line the clock became stable. Have you suggest something ?

I have best performance with transformer 2:1.

Thanks for help.
