I have since found out the board it's from is obsolete. So knowing this chip or what to replace it with would be so much help

What board? Do you have any others where the top line is readable?

Hi thanks for reply

It's a counter and that was the only one of these chips. The only other has no ID and probably a PIC chip

that sends run and reset signals to the main board and another pic chip.. It's driving two sc23‑12srwa led displays.

I have asked for more pictures as haven't had chance to go back to it and look myself again.

Thought I would find the the chip and swap it out :(

Yeah, really looking for specific context, like a make, model, or PCB number, something to key off of.

Searching 2003A DIP16 got this

I found this one and wondered as the number looks like a match

whats left of the numbers on the original.

The board it was on is a low volume custom made counter (2005).

The PIC chip has a hand written label but no clue there.

I think you're right with that chip.

wonder why this has GK5060LS?

Your photograph is pretty poor, but the digits look to be 2003A, and the ULN also works. Try something with higher resolution, is sharp and in focus.

You're looking at production, batch and test codes, not sure that's going to yield helpful results.

Pull a datasheet, review the PCB traces, and check if those are consistent.

I hope to see the board again next week and I'll try and get better pictures

and a look at the circuit. Thanks for your help
