Hello
Does anybody knows what is the difference between: 1. ST DVP (2 or 3) 2. ST EMU (2 or 3) 3. In-Dart emulators ? Thanks Oren2005-10-03 07:25 PM
Hi.
I don't know the difference between all emulators; but i am using indart and very happy about it.2005-10-06 01:31 AM
Here is a very simplified summary of how I view the various emulators:
EMU3High-end real-time emulation with full observability (trace, memory r/w while running, advanced break point) ICD and ICP available. http://mcu.st.com/mcu/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=8 DVP3Entry level real-time emulation with limited observability (limited trace, limited advanced break point) ICD and ICP available. http://mcu.st.com/mcu/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=22 InDart and evaluation boardsConnected to the real device so no observability. Only stepping, run , break available. ICD and ICP only + evaluation boards http://www.st.com/stonline/products/literature/bd/11211/indart.pdf R-Link and REVA boardsConnected to the real device so no observability. Only stepping, run , break available. ICD and ICP only + evaluation board http://mcu.st.com/mcu/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=502005-10-06 02:17 AM
Thanks a lot.
What do you mean by ''Connected to the real device so no observability.'' ? BTW: Isn't it strange that in-dart produce by softec, but there is link to the document from ST site ? Oren
