Case 1 5 GPS satellites with strong SNR & elevation angles above 10 degrees. Case 2 5 GPS satellites with a weak SNR & elevation angle above 10 degrees also. can case 2 be better than case 1 in positioning if the GDOP is better?

Once it has the navigation data, the SNR is less relevant.

It tends to be most important to see the direct signals, not multi-path/reflected ones.

The best solution is going to be the one with the least noisiest measurements.

DOP tends to be assumed to be a multiplier for the CEP specification.
