We have just bought 2 STR710-EVAL boards. Since we have used many eval boards for past projects, we assumed that there would be something delivered with the board about how to use it. Got nothing except a copy of the datasheet, which doesn't even tell you how to use the software already loaded on the board. This is our first adventure with an ARM processor, so we have no baseline. I can't find anything on the Web about programming, such as an adapter cable or a programming environment. Is there a place to find this at ST or are we just on our own?

Hi,
At Raisonance we provide some tools for developping applications on the STR7 devices: http://www.raisonance.com/products/STR7.php Note that our demo boards use STR711 or 712, but the RLink dongle can program and debug the 710 as well. (and ST7 and uPSD too :) ) Vincent2005-10-17 04:57 AM
Would the tools you have be useable with thie STR710 Eval board? Specifically, programming interface.

Yes,
The RLink is a USB-to-JTAG dongle that uses the standard 20-pin ARM JTAG connector. (The REva motherboard includes a detachable RLink) It handles all the STR71x devices, so you can use it on any STR71x board featuring this connector. Vincent
