Simulator error: unknown mcu name

Hello,

I want to use the simulator, just to check code, but it fails.

In [project]->[settings] I can do the mcu selection, but where

could I do the mcu configuration? Or what else do I need to

configure to get the simulator running?

Many thanks for any help.

The mapping is defined when you go to debug mode using the blue 'D'. If it is not the first time you can change the mapping through the ''Debug instrument>Mcu configuration'' menu.

Best regards,

Alain

Hallo Alain,

many thanks for your reply. I used the blue 'D' in Debug Mode and then an error 'Simulation error: unknown mcu name' occurs.

In [Debug instruments] there is no 'Mcu Configuration' available

(I'm using ST7 Develop V3.1.1). So I don't know where to configurate

the mcu (ST72F521R6) for the debugger.

I have cnfigured the mcu in [Project]->[Settings]->[MCU Selection].

Yes, you are right, the ST72F521AR6 and ST72F521R6 are given the error ''mcu name not supported'' when selected for the simulator. This is a bug.

The workaround is to choose the ST72521R6 or ST72521AR6 which is supported by the simulator in STVD7 r3.1.1 and there is no difference in term of simulation between this one and the F521R6 or F521AR6.

Best regards,

Alain
