Hi all,
In standby mode, how can I measure the just the power consumed by the STR71x devise itself ? Regards2004-09-20 09:57 PM
In order to measure the just the current consumed by the STR71x device it self 2 methods are possible:
1) Connect all the V3.3 pins of the STR71x then use an ammeter to measure the micro consumption. 2) In STANDBY mode you can use the nSTDBY pin to switch off all the others devices present in your board, then you can measure the current consumed by the ship. Hopefully this helps you. kind Regards, Hich2004-09-22 06:07 AM
hi,
thank you for your help, I wanna just asking the following: If I want STR710 micro goes into STANDBY mode ( PCU_STANDBY), I get the low DC current at 110 uA, do you beleive it's a good value ? Thanks;2004-09-22 09:54 PM
Hi cesar,
Sorry,110u uA is not a good value ,because I already tried this test using the second method and i had 27uA. For that I wanna to now how did you do to measure the current consumed by the STR71x device it self. Tkanks, Hich2004-09-22 10:19 PM
Hi Cesar,
Be sure that all the others devices in your board ( oscilator,resistance...) are switched off, else you must subtract their consumptions for the value that you found(110uA). Best Regards, Hich2004-10-06 06:18 AM

Hi,
It's true that a maximum core power consumption value = 100mA(runing the maximum frequency) and PLL power consumption value is taken. but concerning a typical value, she depend of the others perepheral clocks states,MCLK & PCLK frequency value. For more informatios about this see the fallowing: 2.5 AC Electrical Characteristics (page 24/39) in the datasheet. Regards, Hich
