I just finished scanning the April reference manual. THe boot loader section is still missing any details. To quote:

2.2.2.1 Loader stored in Internal RAM via serial interface

In this case the “loader� code is stored in internal RAM through a serial interface (UART).

The communication protocol to download the loader in RAM is fully specified and managed

by STMicroelectronics. Please refer to “STR71x Flash Programmer� documentation for

further information.
