Dear Users,
The 3.3.0 release is now available on the update site. Main improvements: - Patch mode of generated components: You can now modify the generated source code, and keep your modifications even if regenerating your application. Look at the Help Contents for usage details (Help/Help Contents/SPC5Studio/Common Tasks/Patching) - Simplification of the application wizard: One step to select hardware, one step to select application. - Reorganized component selector tree. - User frendliness quality fixes. We wish you a happy usage. The SPC5Studio team.2014-11-12 12:25 AM
Hello,
I would like to update my current SPC5 Studio installation to the latest version, but I am afraid to loose my workspace settings or that I can´t use my current projects with the new version. Is there anything I should take into account if I update SPC5 Studio? And could be any problems with projects using library files (e.g low level drivers)? Thanks and best regards, Patrik2014-11-13 08:06 AM
Hello Patrik ,
if you do not clean your workspace, there is no risk for you to lose your work.SPC5Studio 3.3 is an interesting version which contains the ''Patch Mode'' .. By activating it, you will be able to update personally the low level drivers. Best Regards Erwan2014-11-17 03:48 AM
Hello Erwan,
Thanks for your explanation. Finally, I tried to update SPC5 Studio but got the error 'Updating Software' has encountered a problem. I had problems in the past with updating SPC5 studio, where you helped me finding the correct network settings (I am using a proxy server) and the right parameters in the SPC5Studio.ini file. Here is the link to the forum entry [DEAD LINK /public/STe2ecommunities/mcu/Lists/SPC5%20Studio/Flat.aspx?RootFolder=/public/STe2ecommunities/mcu/Lists/SPC5%20Studio/SPC5Studio%20new%20update%203.1.9%20available&FolderCTID=0x01200200770978C69A1141439FE559EB459D758000FD9491D9DABD2C41A6FBA74C0102309E]https://my.st.com/public/STe2ecommunities/mcu/Lists/SPC5%20Studio/Flat.aspx?RootFolder=%2fpublic%2fSTe2ecommunities%2fmcu%2fLists%2fSPC5%20Studio%2fSPC5Studio%20new%20update%203%2e1%2e9%20available&FolderCTID=0x01200200770978C69A1141439FE559EB459D758000FD9491D9DABD2C41A6FBA74C0102309E Nevertheless, now the update starts with the ChibiOS/RT components and stops after a few seconds with a long list of following errors:An error occurred while collecting items to be installed

Hello Patrik ,
You have still your proxy issue. As soon as possible, I will send to you a zip file (Local update site) which contains the update site SPC5Studio 3.3.0. Best Regards Erwan2014-11-17 06:15 AM
Hello Erwan,
Now I was able to install the new update. I had to switch to the standard SPC5 workspace in C:\SPC5Studio. After that, the installation worked. Just to mention it: I had a SPC5Studio crash some time ago and since that time SPC5Studio shows strange behaviour for some time. Maybe I should reinstall SPC5Studio. The version number shown in Help -> About SPC5Studio is already 3.0.0. Shouldn´t it be 3.3.0 now? And can you explain how the patch mode works? Thanks and best regards, Patrik2014-11-17 06:21 AM
Hello Patrik ,
good news ;) the SPC5Studio eclipse core is still 3.0.0. Behind the features (pinmap, appwizard, main) installed should be 3.3.0 (Cf Attachment ) Best Regards Erwan ________________ Attachments : 2014-11-17_151922.png : https://st--c.eu10.content.force.com/sfc/dist/version/download/?oid=00Db0000000YtG6&ids=0680X000006qWXk&d=%2Fa%2F0X0000000boN%2FGUY73YSQAJuNsDbiIL3y21niP7Quajja1KG.cONHSKw&asPdf=false2014-11-18 01:57 AM
