SPC5-UDESTK Serial Console ?

I am using UDE 4.2.05 with the SPC560B-DIS (which has UDE debug hardware built in)

I can load and run code via JTAG but ... How do I access the serial port connection to the target device ??? The target microcontroller UART is connected to the FTDI USB/serial/JTAG device but I do not see a COM port show up on the PC for the target USB/serial connection. Should this show up as a COM port or perhaps in a UDE window ??

Posted on September 23, 2014 at 17:01 Hello Adams , Take the driver inside PLS Tools c:\Program Files (x86)\pls\UDE 4.2\Driver\JtagUsbDriver\ and enable VCP in Device Manager(cf screenshot) for each driver after rebooting the device .. you should see the COM PORT in your device manager By default , the console UART is set to 38400 bauds.
