Hello,
I have looked at the SPC5 studio preview and have a few comments/questions: 1. When will a compiler be available? 2. The SPC5 Studio seems to integrate the Chibios RTOS. There is no documentation with the studio for the OS. When will this be available? The OS implementation does not match the Chibio documentation available on Chibios.org as the original OS was intended for z4 and z3 PPC cores. What is changed between the original OS and the one used in the studio? 3. Is there a possiblity to not use the OS but still use the drivers and configuration part of the studio? Best Regards, KurtSolved! Go to Solution.

Hi Kurt,
About your questions: 1) Few days, I think the final SPC5Studio with the compiler is being uploaded now. 2) The OS is unchanged, the online documentation applies to the version in SPC5Studio, the relevant documents are: Kernel and HAL API: http://chibios.sourceforge.net/html/index.html Specific documents will be released in version 2.6.0, when the SPC support will be made ''official''. 3) It is officially planned, the device drivers will be also be usable standalone in next versions. The device drivers will also increase in variety in order to cover most peripherals. kind regards, Giovanni Di Sirio.2013-02-13 01:14 PM
