Why is the new IIS2ICLX a 2-axis sensor only? It's complicated to compensate for cross axis effects and in horizontal orentation, the sensitivity still decreases when abs(angle) increases. A 3-axis sensor in ceramic would be awesome to be placed in 360° devices with arbitrary orientation like IMUs or so. Are there any plans for such a device?

IIS2ICLX is an inclinometer targeting top-notch accuracy and repeatability performances, and ST wanted to provide a device where all the available axes perform at best and at the same level. A 3-axes device achieving the target of all 3-axes performing same or better than the ones of IIS2ICLX is in R&D
