Hi @SG.8 ,

we suggest a board form factor such as the STEVAL-MKI208V1K, a standard FR4 1.6mm board which is optimized for minimizing its own vibrations.

This design, differently from the DIL 24 standard adapter, can be connected through a flat cable to the application board (such as a custom board or theSTWINKT1B reference design).

For a clean monitoring of a vibrating object, the spurious mechanical vibrations of the application board must be disentangled by the vibration of the system under test.

You can find more information (together with an overview of the firmware tools dedicated to the vibration monitoring) here: Vibration Monitoring using IIS3DWB Vibration Sensor - STMicroelectronics

Moreover, as a general guideline for mounting the device on the board, you can refer to this tech note: TN0018 Technical note - STMicroelectronics
