Hi, what is the frequency range of IIS3DWB vibration sensor for velocity? Thanks!

For an harmonic motion (and for a generalized motion as well), the maximum frequency for the acceleration is the same as the velocity one.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_harmonic_motion

For the IIS3DWB case, the maximum ODR is 26.67kHz, but the flat frequency response range is from DC to 6 kHz (±3 dB point) as stated in the datasheet, so 6kHz is also the maximum detectable frequency for the velocity.

Hello @Community member ,

ISM330DLC - 3D accelerometer, How to check the over limit vibrations?

Configured the sensor ISM330DLC - ODR set to max 6.6KHz (which is max limit for chip).

If sensor ISM330DLC is exposed for heavy vibrations in the range above 3.3kHZ, for example 4kHz.

Is there a way that sensor provides any information or register update to indicate to the user that vibration is over limited?

Please assist to solve the issue.

Regards,

Srinu
