Hi All,

In my project, It has a cover above VL53L0x( about 5 cm). I want to know what kind of material that the VL53L0x will not to be disturbed by it.

It means VL53L0x can work well when a cover above it.

Thanks a lot.

Mars.

Mars -

The coverglass can be made out of anything that is clear at 940nm and flat. So Acrylic or PMMA are the cheap things. Regular glass is good. As is Gorilla glass or Sapphires glass. The best thing you can do is put the sensor as close to the glass as possible. The trick is to prevent photons from hitting the glass and bouncing back into the sensor.

See the bug:

. It has some good words.

There is also a video -

It describes the issue and an ultimate solution. It references a different chip, butthe concept is the same.
