Question about BlueNRG-2 radio driver

Hello,

I would like to develop a sniffer using BlueNRG-2 chip. Each system will be able to transmit packets with an unique ID and to receive packets from the other devices nearby (also devices based using BlueNRG-2).

The aim is that all the devices should be able to estimate how many devices are nearby.

For that, I would like to use the radio driver directly. I think using BLE will only add some complexity. What do you think ?

But I am a bit confused about the "Network ID". Is it possible to have, let's say 10 devices close by, and communicating on the same Network ID ?

Thanks a lot!

Yes. Just configure these devices same Network ID and communicate on the same channel.
