Did I brick my BlueNRG?

BShal.1

i have 2 STEVAL-BCN002V1B boards

the first one i tried using the app and using bluetooth and the daughterboard (sensor board) showed solid green and i can't bluetooth connect to it and using firmware updater with USB doesnt erase to load new firmware

the second device, used USB connection to load a firmware version that has worked on other bluetile, and gets green light. tried to erase the flash, says it did it, but then solid green

need help as both boards are solid green and i can't new firmware loaded.

I read in an article that there is possibility of permanent bricking

I have gone through this doc:

https://www.tme.com/Document/b19a4c2ae115b1ffbff8b10955022a24/SPBTLE-1SINS.pdf

The utility shows successful flashing of our FW update, and also when doing erase

Same problem here. I did play with the bootloader and messed up. Is there a way to restore to factory/delivery condition?

Many thanks in advance

Hello,

It is very unlikely that the BlueNRG-2 is bricked.

It is possible that the bootloader is compromised. Inside the BlueTile SDK you will find the default application example that is the: BLE_SensorDemo (with OTA ResetManager).hex located in the folder: STSW-BLUETILE-DK 1.3.0\Firmware\BLE_Examples\BLE_SensorDemo\BlueNRG-2.

This will overwrite any broken firmware and bootloader, restoring the platform to its original condition.

Thank you very much, worked well for me.

Best regards
