About RHFLVDS2281 LVDS cross point failure propagation, can a +5V voltage appearing on the LVDS outputs, due to a remote receiver failure, propagate to the VCC supply line and from there to the other board components?

As shown in the attached figure, I know that this failure, if for a short time duration, does not propagate to other ports (driver/receivers), which can therefore continue to operate without failing. What I need to know is the voltage level reached on the VCC line of RHFLVDS2281 if the LVDS driver fails due to 5V applied to its output. Shall I see 5V on VCC? This can be a problem for the other parts on the board which are connected to the same Vcc supply (3.3V).

Yes, if 5V backfire on the driver, this can also endanger the other circuits due to the coupling via 3.3V.

For more information, please contact your contact at ST or at the distribution where you get your components, alternatively OLS.
