Hi,
Can you help me to confirm the difference between ST Teseo-Suite Pro uart com port connect and normal com port software Tera Term connect?
I have confirmed that the baudrate settings are the same, and the Teseo-Suite software com port connect behavior does not have any uart output.
Teseo-Suite software com port connect behavior does not have any uart output problem:
Using Teseo-Suite software connect can capture NMEA data stream.
When I use Tera Term to connect EVB-T5DR E1, all signal light will go out.
Is it necessary to send a specific command to EVB-T5DR E1 or is it necessary to adjust the hardware?
Please clarify.
The following is the verification procedure:
1. Use com0com software to create two virtual uart com ports, com 3 to receive and com 4 to output (com0com.png).
2. Run import serial.py to listen to com 4 to display all uart commands received by com 3 (comport.png).
3. Teseo-Suite software clicks connect, no uart command is displayed (teseo.png)
4. Teseo-Suite software click Execute NMEA script to output uart setup command (teseo.png)
5. import serial.py shows all uart commands received by com 3 (comport.png)
Thank you for your help.

Hi Chris,
Apologies for the late response.
If I understand correctly, what you are stating is the following,
- Teseo Suite when connecting to Teseo5 does not have a problem.
- Tera Term is having a problem and the LEDs on the EVB turn off.
Could you please confirm this?
Just to clarify, Teseo Suite and any other serial terminal programs are the same when it comes to receiving data from Teseo-5 EVB. Also there is no hardware modification needed.
Have you tried using another serial terminal program called RealTerm?
If you look at Teseo Suite User Manual under Help >> User Manual, under section 6.1.2 discusses Teseo Tool bar. In that you will see "Version Information" icon. Could you please let me know what version of firmware for Teseo-5 you are running?
If you are seeing serial output from Teseo-5 in Teseo Suite, you should see output as you do in Fig.29 NMEA Monitor in the Teseo Suite User manual.
Also regarding pictures,
Teseo-png: This is not NMEA output window. The picture looks like you are trying to execute a script to configure and showing NMEA Monitor window.
Could you please share output from NMEA monitor window?
