Inconsistent <B>bold font</B> for Subject/Title of posts

The user interface allows for BOLD font, but Subject lines doesn't seem to and there's a mishmash of posts with and without bold titles with no apparent consistency.

Well, I don't know if it's a bug, but for me the normal font (non-bold) always occurs after I've looked at the post at least once. Bold marked ones are unopened by me.

I've got 70+ views of this and a reply, and it's still not emboldened.

I can probably add HTML tags, but not clear why some peoples posts are bold, and others not.

I'll try editing, and adding tags now.

Yes opening them does seem to be changing it. Does it go bold when someone else subsequently posts to it?

Didn't look too when I went to "Feedback Forum" after you posted to it..

HTML Tags also not usable..

Hello @Tesla DeLorean,
In general, this is a behavior for distinguishing between read (regular) and unread (bold) topics. As Peter points out, in this context "read" means the thread/post has been clicked on and opened.

I tested the following on our stage environment:

  • Overall, this behavior only applies in logged in mode
  • The subject line did not turn bold again when someone subsequently replied on it
  • Also, for "owned threads" the subject line did not turn bold again after someone replied on it

Did you identify any further pattern on your end that could help understand the behavior?

Best,
Amelie

Mostly seems do DULL posts I've just read in this browser context, but I'm sensitive to this and it's just seems very inconsistent, because people can post against a thread, and it stays DULL. Then there are others I've looked at which are BOLD.

I'd prefer there to be some different cue as to thread activity.
