Sometimes I update old replies/post with small corrections (grammar or formatting) or adding additional comments (maybe the solution is outdated for a newer version of a toolchain and I will expand the solution for the newer version, for instance, or updating outdated links).
Now I can no longer do that for comments older than a day. The button is missing.
For newer posts it does have the button:
It's very annoying. Are those new restrictions? What are the exact conditions? Don't tell me my spelling errors are now forever frozen in time and all answers will become outdated and obsolete?

Hello @unsigned_char_array ,
Thanks for sharing your feedback and I am sorry to hear it caused you difficulties.
Indeed, there was a recent change on this to ensure moderation and spam prevention best practices. The current limit to edit content is set for 14 days.
Can you please share ULR of content where the edit option is not working for you when above condition is applied?
Thanks,
Lina

In this topic I found that the newest comment I could not edit was posted on January 7th:
So just over 2 weeks ago.
I think this is way too strict and will turn this forum more into a type of Twitter/X where once you post something you can no longer edit it.
I understand anti-spam restrictions, but this makes the forum unworkable for me. I frequently make edits to posts. Some over a year old. Other forums put posts or edits of new unvetted users under review before publishing. That would work to prevent spam. But I wouldn't apply those restrictions to older users.

Thanks @unsigned_char_array, fair points.
Let me take this feedback to discuss internally and see how we can adjust this recent change.
Will keep you posted.
