What is the APWorkbench simulation mode and when should I use it?

It could also be used to retrieved register mapping and setting information for specific Sound Terminal devices, for instance - without the hassle to have an actual evaluation board powered and connected to the PC. User's events on the GUI controls are fully logged and exposed via the ''Log Viewer'' panel and the textual information can be re-used to write user's control software, for instance.
