I need to fix an audio amplifier that uses a TDA7266M. Unfortunately, I can only find TDA7266 (stereo version) in stores in my city. I compared the pins and it seems that I can use one channel without any modifications. What should I do with a disconnected channel? Is it enough to connect the input via a capacitor to ground?

Yes, you can use a TDA7266 instead of the TDA7266M and connect the second input (pin 12) to GND via a small capacitor.

Thank you for your reply. Admittedly, I waited a long time for an answer and I have already successfully completed the repair in an identical way, but this is a valuable confirmation that the amplifier will continue to work as before.
I have been working with ST components for a very long time, since the beginning of the 80s. At that time it was SGS :) I have always liked the simplicity of implementation and the reliability of the components. The only thing I regret is that you stopped producing some chips, for example the TDA2030-2050 series in the TO-220 housing.
