Hi!

I'm new in this world and it's posible that my questions are not the most intelligent. I'm designing an array of loudspeakers and i have thought to use the TDA7264 amplifier, but i have some questions:

· For the power supply, Should i consider the music power parameter?

· If I'm going to use 8 TDA7264, Could I use only one standby/mute circuit for all        devices (datasheet Figure 12)?

Thanks!

Hi Carlos ,

yes , you need to consider music output power ,since it will be quite important for your heatsink design , if the supply voltage was higher , the dissipation power will be higher, then you need a much bigger heatsink .

for your application, you need to drive 8 pcs of amplifier from standby/mute votlage divider , maybe the resistor voltagae divider could not to provide enough current with current value (as fig 12) , you may need to reduce the resistor value , but maintain the voltage dividing ratio . and the acutally value should be verified in your prototype.

or you can use LDO (TO92 package is enough )to proivde standby/mute voltage refer to +VCC.

Thanks to consider ST device

Hi Yun Tao,

Thank you so much, you've been of great help
