STM32CubeMX (MCUs)

Anyone aware of this problem and any workaround, other than manually changing the generated file? Specifically, ​ RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLR,  RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLP and  RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLR are not being configured correctly, causing the first call to HAL_GetTick() inside HAL_RCC_OscConfig() to crash.

Hi Im using CubeMX version 5.10, and about to start learning the freertos . Which version comes with CubeMX? I thought it was the version from www.freertos.org , but I see withng cubeMX the drop down allows CMSIS_1 (I am using STM32L4 and F7 processors). Can anyone tell me which one it is , and also a few pointers for a beginner to the freertos?Many ThanksScott

I am using STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE and val board STM32F303RE. All I wish to do is recreate the project/examples with the firmware package using CUBEMX and CUBE_IDE combo.I have been able to get the Examples to work but not as the documents explain. What I do to get the example design "TIMPWMInput" to work. I open STM32CubeIDE under CubeMX assistance, select a board and instruct the tools not to configure peripherals. This give me the project file structure.Next, I go to the folder with the STM32_FW_F3 and open the SRC/INC files within the TIMPWNInput. I simply CUT and PASTE the code right over top the code that CUBEMX created. I literally erase everything the CubeMX created. The design now works.This is not the way it should work as if I update the design via CubeMX it will overwrite everything I pasted providing I keep the items within the USER-BRACKETS which I do.I wish to create the design 100% through CubeMX to look just like the example code. This should not be that hard to do.

Using CubeMX to implement USB CDC on a self powered STM32462 with VUSB connected via PA9 via a resistor divider for automatic bus detection. I have confirmed that I have 3.3V on PA9 when VUSB connected and 0V when it's not. The USB class is CDC and works fine. I need to use PCD (charger detection) which means that I need to detect the presence of VUSB in order to invoke HAL_PCDEx_BCD_VBUSDetect().My question is what calls or setup or direct access do I use to detect VUSB as the the state of PA9. Is it availible as an EXTI interrupt or a IO status register read or a HAL function.

Circular buffer DMA is defined for an ADC.I want it to start and continue to convert forever.If I manually correct the init procedure which was generated, that works well

I use Keil MDK to Build the project.When I into debug mode and run the code the time is still at 0.

I cannot set PLL3R using STM32CubeIDE when working on a Nucleo-H743ZI2 board. Using STM32CubeMX with the same updated firmware, there's no problem selecting PLL3RAfter I create a project with STM32CubeMX selecting PLL3R and select STM32CubeIDE as the toolchain, I can then open it in STM32CubeMX and change settings for PLL3, which are reflected in the ADC clock box. But as soon as I click PLL2P, I cannot re-select PLL3R anymore.If I reopen that same *.ioc file in STM32CubeMX again, I can switch from PLL2P to PLL3R without problems. And if I save it and reopen it in STM32CubeIDE, PLL3R is properly selected and everything works. Looks like a bug to me...

I'm using CubeMX 5.3.0 with Nucleo STM32F446RE board and this I want I get when I start a new project.As you see, "Disable" is only selectable option here. Why? Hi, I'd appreciate it if you could answer a few questions.I try to use HAL_CAN_Recive_IT in the HAL example, but it's not automatically set up in CUBEMX. Why? And how do I use the HAL command in TRUESTUDIO?

Today I decided to start a fresh project on my NUCLEO-F429ZI board. As I tried to select the board, I was notified that that board is obsolete, and CubeMX won't generate code for it. Soon, I found that all boards are marked obsolete! So I am pretty sure it is a bug. But that means I can't proceed with my work unless I am willing to spend time on finding and setting up the old working version - if at all it is still available for download. and then merge my code to the latest CubeMX generated code when the bug is fixed. This is a lot of extra work.There should be more stringent testing done on software before releasing it. This is not the first instance of ST's software creating trouble. I do understand presence minor bugs. But the kind of bugs I come across with ST give an impression that the software development processes are far from mature.Examples:When you make some changes in the .ioc file and regenerate the code, once in a while it says firmware not available in repository even t

Hi!I want to learn how to use registers by reading data sheet and write hex. I normally use CubeMX. But I think it's best for me to learn how it works under the hood. To learn registers, I need to look at how other people have done so I can "copy" that knowledge to me. I have done digital output and digital input projects with registers. Quite fun because you have control. Do you know an example collection I can look at?I'm using STM32F4 series.

Yesterday my cubeide is working well. While trying to convert your CubeMXH7 examples to cubemx for testing purpose. I came across some issues in terms of trying to synchronise the settings. Hello, I have a feature request relating to ethernet for CubeMX.We have a PHY that is configured via SPI instead of MDIO but CubeMX insists on configuring the MDIO and MDC pins even when they're not required. We have to manually write code to undo this assignment and use the pins for another function instead. A checkbox like the "Activate Rx Err signal" but for MDIO would be nice.

Hi I've configured a STM32F767II with CUBEMX and generated an Atollic TrueSTUDIO Project. PA0 is configured as external interuppt in IT_RISING Mode. The problem is that this EXTI triggers also at falling edges. Other EXTI pins were configured the same way and are working how excpected. Is there a bug in the STM32F7 HAL library for PA0?RegardsDejan

Using the sample application from STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.24.0\Projects\STM324xG_EVAL\Applications\FatFs\FatFs_uSD_RTOS\SW4STM32 and opening with TrueStudio compiles and works.I'm unable to import the above project to STM32CubeIDE, but that's in the release notes.However, using CubeMX 5.x or STM32CubeIDE to create a simple SDIO + FatFS + FreeRTOS doesn't work, will not write to the SD card. Remove FreeRTOS and undo the DMA changes and it will work.What needs to be made available is an IOC file for all devices like the examples already offered in the CUBE F4 library.Using previous SPL examples from 5 years ago also work.The device I'm currently struggling with is an STM32F407/417, currently in a product with NO-OS but working fine and logging to SD card.The STM32CubeIDE looks promising, but need to be able to create working code.Edit 4th June 2019: Just added a basic project generated by CubeIDE that demonstrates that CubeIDE is unable to create a work

I'm working with the STM32F429ZI (Nucleo) board. STM32CubeMX v5.3.0, generating code for IAR Workbench.I've set a static IP address, and otherwise kept default settings.I've created a basic CubeMX project with just LWIP enabled and unable to ping the board.In the main function call part of code generated calls function MX_LWIP_Init() and in while(1) MX_LWIP_Process() - don't see any error or timeout ,just keeps polling in while loop. ( I could see the ethernet led's ON after passing through initialization phase)Also when i tried the HTTP server(netconn) example with FreeRTOS was able to get the application working.Could anyone suggest what I am missing in my test setup ?

I have wasted so much time over the last day or so trying to generate code for a new project in CUBE MXI can't go back to version 4 that use to work ok, because it's been generated in crappy version 5 !ST you really need to sort your Act Out!!!
