Hi Team,We are using the Stm32wb55 series for our project and how to load the BLE Stack file through this programmer and which hex file we need to load for our board like stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin (or) stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin (or) stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_light_fw.bin for our board. Is there any upgrade document please share it with us.Regards,Srinivas.V
Hi, I want to configure the USART1 as TRACE in LORAWAN_AT_Slave project. I tried replaced LPUART with USART1 in the MDK-ARM but my project's TRACE not work. Any one know how to replace LPUART with USART1 ?
Hi Team,We are using the STM32WB55 Series for our project. We are using specific flash sectors (8) for our config data. Is there any specific Initializations are required for Flash Operations which is similar to other peripherals like Clock, UART, I2C and Timers. Please let us know the same we will go through once and we will take care of those.Regards,Srinivas.V
I am designing a PCB that uses an STM32WB5MMGH6TR and I intend to use an ST-Link from one of my Nucleo boards for programming/debugging.I have read through the SWD section in the reference manual and read that SWDIO requires a 100kohm pullup resistor. But I also read online that sometimes MCUs already have built-in pullups for these pins so there is no need to add them.I would like to be certain about the proper wiring for these pins to avoid building an unprogrammable board. Will I be able to use my Nucleo ST-Link (6-pin connector) with this MCU after simply connecting the SWD pins? Will this MCU behave the same as any other when connected to an ST-Link?
I have a board NUCLEO-WB55 and I'm testing some examples.I'd like acquire a sine wave about 14 MHz and convert to square wave with internal comparator. I can't find enough informations on datasheet if it's fast to acquire this signal.Thank you for suggestions
Dear all,I am happy playing with STM32WB kits but there is something that really annoys me.I am creating a very low power temperature sensor configured as SED. The problem is after every payload I send it stays in fast polling every 500 ms for some time. This drains the battery. As it is only a temperature sensor I never expect to receive commands so I do not need any kind of polling. How can I permanently disable it?Update:Looks like Zigbee_OnOff_Client_SED works as intended using anothe STM32WB as coordinator. Power consumption in stop2 is as expected around 3uA.If I use another device such as zigbee2mqtt or xiaomi gateway it has a different behaviour. After sending a command it generates 6 poll requests and after that CPU2 is not going to STOP2consuming 1.8mA. The point is that right after transmitting it goes into stop2 but around 1 second after it wakes up and stays up until next transmission. Is there any way to avoid waking up too early?
Hello, To push code using commands, i use this : STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe --connect port=SWD mode=UR reset=HWrst -d file.elfBut I would like the program to run after the programming step is complete (same behaviour as when programmed with STM32CubeProgrammer.I noticed that "run after programming was checked but I don't know how to do that with commands. I watch the possibilities using STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe -h but I didn't find it. STM32 : STM32WB5MMGH6TRHave a nice day Laora
Hi!We want to build a localization system based on AoA, which should localize BLE-Beacons. Therefore, I have a few questions to the ST BLE-chips:1. Is it possible to configure a device from the product portfolio to a fixed radio channel, on which BLE signals are received?2. The channels from an antenna array are connected via switches simultanously to the BLE-RX and thus, the IQ samples of the different receive channels are sampled with some microseconds time difference. If the frequency error between TX and RX goes too large, the phase error between the channels would be become too large. Therefore, is the difference between the carrier frequencies of the BLE-TX and the BLE-RX estimated continously and compensated?3. Could you recommend a chip from the product portfoilo which meets the named requirements?Thank you very much for answering my questions!
Hi,I have a NUCLEO-WL55JC (revision 0E) that stop working after I flashed the LoRaWAN_End_Node example project. With the CubeProgrammer, sometimes I can manage to update the STLink Firmware (if I keep rebooting the board), but I can't ever connect to the main MCU.I was wondering if there is any jumper configuration that allows flashing the main MCU from an external STLink (I'm not sure If it will fix the issue, but let's try it).Thank you!
We are working on "Peripheral Lite" from STM32WB_FW and we would like to include SPI and UART libraries . We imported this project in STM32 IDE by automatic conversion. Since there is no "ioc" file (CUBEMX) and only a small part of HAL libraries are present, how can we add the other part?
Hi, We are trying to configure device keys using AT commands. We are able to change the App EUI and Device EUI using AT commands. But we are facing issues when modifying the App key and NWK key using AT commands. We referred the AT commands configuration examples of STM32WLE5 . But there is no reference for configuring App key and NWK key. Is it possible to change App key and NWK key using AT commands ? Please guide us with any references or ideas :).RAK Module Details:https://docs.rakwireless.com/Product-Categories/WisDuo/RAK3172-Module/Overview/#product-descriptionThanks!
I am aware there is a datasheet, but it does not contain the info I need. I am trying to configure timer triggered timers for my project, so I would like to know the internal trigger mapping for each timer. I am hoping to find something similar to the image below from the STM32F446xx reference manual. Any help is appreciated.
Hi, I'm using the STM32WB55 as a BLE peripheral. The goal is to support multiple simultaneous connections with different Centrals, so that the peripheral can broadcast its characteristics to multiple clients. To accomplish that, my code re-enables advertising after a connection has been established, e.g. in EV_LE_CONN_COMPLETE I call aci_gap_set_discoverable() again. This works exactly two times (using the custom template generated by CubeMX). However, after the second central connects, additional aci_gap_set_discoverable() calls fail with the error 0x0C. Any pointers on why this is happening is greatly appreciated.
Reference manual RM0453 and AN5457 - Rev 2 give some info on optimal PA and TxParm settings but the data is incomplete and appears to be inconstant. For example, Table 2 of AN5457 says for RFO_HP, +14dBm set paDutyCycle to 0x2 and TxParms to 14. The ref manual Table 35 says for RFO_HP, +14dBmset PaDutyCycle to 0x02 and Txparms to 0x16 (dec 22)So do I set Txparms to 14 or 22?paDutyCycle for +15dBm RFO_LP are also inconsistent. The ref manual says 0x7 and the ap-note says 0x06.Further the tables are incomplete. For example, under HP only settings for output powers of 22,20,17,14 are provided. I tried to interpolate between values but had issues there. And guidance for power lower the 10 (LP) and 14 (HP) dBm are missing. Is there a document or guidance with more complete information? Which tables should I believe? The Reference manual or the Ap-Note? What settings should I use (for example) for LP at 5dBm or other powers below 10/14 dBm. Maybe for powers below a certain value just set paCo
Hi, I have a Nucleo WB55 board and I am testing some example projects.I noticed I cannot see any data from com port for MAC_802_15.4 example, however when I have flash the Phy_802_15_4_Cli example, it works. Do I need to enable some extra settings for the mentioned project to see data from serial? Thanks.
Hi,I have a problem on the LoRa transmission. If I use STM32F103 on SPI 1, LoRa transmission works. And if I use the STM32G070 with the same code the LoRa transmission doesn't work. What is the différence on the SPI in the STM32G070 ?
Given interrupt continuously when lora joining process occurred, at that time the device is restarted.why?
I'm trying to logging Teseo LIV3FL using my STM32 Nucleo-WL55JC1. I've tried in my ESP32 before and it works as it is. However, when I tried to use them in my Nucleo board, the message are messy or mixed between other messages. Expected Output:Received Data: $GPGGA,081020.000,0745.76016,S,11023.30496,E,0,03,99.0,186.70,M,0.0,M,,*79Current Output:$GPGGA,081020.000,0745.Received Data: 76016,S,11023.30496,E,0,03,99.0,186.70,M,0.0,M,,*79I suspect it caused because the UART is still busy when I send another message. Any workaround how to manage the messages so they didn't mixed up?
Is there a simple example for STM32WL55 that does not use the sequencer?I want to integrate the LoRa radio with my code and my own task scheduler. From CubeMX, the SUBGHZ module works well but when I add SUBGHZPhy, everything seems to break.
Hello community,We are using STM32WL V1.2.0 to develop an application based on the example application "LoRaWAN_End_Node_FreeRTOS". Board: Nucleo-WL55JC1. The example application works. However, as soon as we add the function "osDelay(2000)" in a thread, the application gets stuck in tasks.c, line 2581:configASSERT( ( xTickCount + xTicksToJump ) <= xNextTaskUnblockTime );Steps to reproduce: LoRaWAN_End_Node_FreeRTOS, lora_app.c, line 439: add code: APP_LOG(TS_ON, VLEVEL_M, "before osDelay(2000)\r\n"); osDelay(2000); APP_LOG(TS_ON, VLEVEL_M, "after osDelay(2000)\r\n");We suspect that the ticks are not updated correctly, so that after waking up from sleep, configASSERT() is hit because the system thinks it has missed xNextTaskUnblockTime. When using FreeRTOS timers osTimerNew(), osTimerStart(), the same happens. The original example application uses neither osDelay() nor osTimerNew(), but only osThreadFlagsWait/Set() functions, and therefore works fine.FreeRTOS configuration: as in th
I am using the STM32WLE5, and periodically entering and exiting STOP2 mode. The VBAT is connected directly to VCC. I set PWR_CR1_DBP on system initialization, and assume it should not change. On exiting stop mode, sometimes the DBP bit is randomly cleared - causing subsequent writes to the RTC to fail.My code below is my stop mode entry routine, and I observe the DBP bit being cleared directly after stop mode. Note I have disable IRQ's to eliminate the possibly of this being cleared during an ISR.void CORE_Stop(void) { CRITICAL_SECTION_BEGIN(); HAL_SuspendTick(); MODIFY_REG(PWR->CR1, PWR_CR1_LPMS, PWR_LOWPOWERMODE_STOP2); SET_BIT(SCB->SCR, SCB_SCR_SLEEPDEEP_Msk); if (!(PWR->CR1 & PWR_CR1_DBP)) { // This never occurrs __BKPT(); } __WFI(); if (!(PWR->CR1 & PWR_CR1_DBP)) { // This seems to occurr randomly __BKPT(); } CLEAR_BIT(SCB->SCR, SCB_SCR_SLEEPDEEP_Msk); CLK_InitSYSCLK(); // Equivilent to SystemClockConfig HAL_Resu
Hello to everyone. I have the STM32WLE board and I have an external Sx1276 module. STM32WLE board has Sx1262 lora. I am trying to communicate Sx1262 to Sx1276. Actually, when I set Sx1262 as "Transmitter" and Sx1276 as "Receiver", I don't encounter any problems at first. Devices can send and receive data. However, when I set Sx1262 as "Receiver" and Sx1276 as "Transmitter", communication does not occur. The Sx1262 also never falls into the RxDone interrupt. It keeps crashing into RxError interrupt. Please help me!!
I'm planning to make a GPS tracker using Teseo LIV3FL as a slave device and STM32 Nucle-WL55JC1 MCU with I2C communication protocol. The I2C reading is working (I assumed it works since I'm receiveing some data), but the problem is when I take one of the reading and decode it using a GPGGA (or similar) decoder it says I got an invalid data.Serial monitorDecoded dataAnd code snippet for sensor readingwhile (1) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ if (HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady(&hi2c1, 0x3A <<1 + 0, 2, 10) == HAL_OK) { HAL_I2C_Master_Receive(&hi2c1, 0x3A <<1 + 0, (uint8_t *)receivedData, sizeof(receivedData), 1000); HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t*)receivedData, sizeof(receivedData), 1000); while (HAL_I2C_GetState(&hi2c1) != HAL_I2C_STATE_READY); } else { uint8_t state[10] = "DEVICE IS NOT READY\n"; HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, (uint8_t*)state, sizeof(state), 1000); } HAL_Delay(500); }Any idea where did I go wrong? Thank you.
What does the TSC_IOASCR register do?Checked the reference manuals for STM32 WB35xx/WB55xx (RM0434) and F0xx (RM0091) and only get the following information: What's the behaviour of this setting for pins in the various modes (unused, sampling, channel)? I see that it says "Note: These bits control the I/O analog switch whatever the I/O control mode is (even if controlled by standard GPIO registers)." but what does controlling the analog switch mean and how does it relate to TSC?
I wanted to manage routers which are connected to same network. Does Coordinator can manage them or coordinator has any list about connected routers? If there is a list of connected devices please let me know.
