Dear ST,I am trying to configure a simple zigbee centralized network with one coordinator and one endpoint, but I can't manage to correctly configure a rejoin request. As I understand it, a rejoin can be used to join a network as well. As per the documentation, the proper way is using the ZbStartup function with a startup control of 0x02 ZbTypeRejoin and setting the ExtendedPANId correctly (I have set one to this experiment). However, this results in a ZB_NWK_STATUS_INVALID_REQUEST. Using a ZbStartupRejoin after restarting the end device results in a ZB_APS_STATUS_SECURITY_FAIL from the aps layer, but the network keys are preset in both devices and operate on the default security level. I can't seem to comprehend why the procedures fails, I am definitely missing something. I would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light on joining, rejoining and its required configuration or point me to any material on this subject.Lastly. The devices will be part of a persistent netw
Hey ST Community!I've been exploring the capabilities of the STM32H7B3I-DK development board, specifically its built-in WiFi module with the Inventek ISM43340-M4G-L44-10CF chipset. While I've successfully implemented HTTPS functionality using existing examples like the Clock and Weather application, I'm now looking to extend my project to include MQTT protocol support.I discovered that the network interface implementation provided in the Paho MQTT C client library is not directly compatible with the STM32 Network Library, which I am utilizing for network communication in my project.I've searched through available resources and examples but haven't been able to find a suitable MQTT implementation tailored for this specific hardware configuration. Has anyone in the community had success implementing MQTT on the STM32H7B3I-DK with the built-in WiFi module? I'm currently investigating how to adapt the Paho MQTT library to integrate with the STM32 Network Library.Any pointers, code sni
Hello, I just came accross the STM32WL series and I was wondering if I can implement a different modulation other than the ones included (FSK, PSK). I need to acquire an analog signal, convert it to digital and then modulate it with a frequency modulation and up-convert it and send it trough the PA. Can I do that using one of the STM32WL? Thanks.
Good Morning,I am working with an engineer that needs to asses the current based on the states of the STM32WB. Is the simplest approach to use the Nucleo Board with the part and then, reviewing the schematic, place a current meter in line with the jumper between VDD and the MCU? For clarification i have attached the schematic of the Nucleo board and on page 5, JP3? I realize this is a sort of nebulous question but I had thought you could use the power monitor with one of the nucleo/DK boards. I believe I was wrong. Thank you!
Dear St,I'm developing a cluster with a client and server, where I have a client to write on the cluster of the server. I can write with the function ZbZclWriteReq() on the server, but I'm not always successful. When I do the first write, I have success, but in the next ones, I have some failures. Especially when I put a Hal_delay of 10 seconds because I just want to send a message every 10 seconds. When I don't have the delay, the communication works better, but I don't understand why.I also have another case where when I'm writing to the server without delay, I always have been successful until I touch the switch SW1. The SW1 on the server has the function of making a local read of the attributes of the cluster. In my project, I'm developing with the Nucleo Board WB55RG.Do you know what can be my problems?Best RegardsJorge Alves
Hello, I'm using the client/server example with two Nucleo-WB55 kit, it works without issue. Now I'm working with my own board:Client : STM32WB5MM moduleServer: the same nucleo-WB55 as above At starting, the client scans and detects the server(with the right BLE address). But during the Connect_Request(), the client never returns from aci_gap_create_connection().I did a clean configuration from cubeMX and I get exactly the same problem, and I have tried with two differents boards. I have no idea why there is no return (success or not)... My BLE stack is 1.18.0 Thank you,Pierre
Hello Developers, In our product, we currently have a RAK3172 module interfaced with STM32L4 controller. I am able to use both LoRa P2P and LoRaWAN communication using the AT command sent to the RAK chipset from host, through UART interface. Now i would also like to add sigfox functionality in my application. But by default RAK3172 chipset doesn't support Sigfox. So for adding sigfox functionality, i have to port the stm32wl AT Slave example for RAK3172 and add the AT commands for LoRa communication firstly, as AT Slave doesn't provide AT cmd for LoRa communication. So currently i am stuck, thinking where my AT cmds for P2P/LoRaWAN recieved by RAK module (STM32WLE) will be stored such that RAK perform the desired AT cmd task. Is there any register where it's written ? I would like to have better understanding of how i can add command like that of RAK in AT Slave example and the module executes it properly.
I do everything as decribled here:-stm32u5 program with ble at client code-on stm32wb I update fus, stack and program BLE_AT_Server_reference.hex from STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.17.0When i try run app @teraterm i see:Start of the STM32WB5M module AT example.Run ST BLE sensor application on your smartphone and connect to you device.Press user button:- once to notify a value.- twice to toggle the BLE service.--------------------------------------------TX: ATRX: OKTX: AT+BLE_SVC=1RX: OKBut my iphone ST BLE Sensor app(i also try android) dont find any device, i don't know why, I also try ST Ble Sensor Classic app and this don't help (I don't know which one i should use).
Hi team, Warm GreetingsI am using STM32WB55RG6VTR controller in our battery operated product development. We are enabling the sleep mode in the controller to test the current which is around 10mA but it is supposed to be around 40uA if all peripherals are enabled. Moreover, our requirement is to have the sleep current less than 10uA.So, I would like you guys to give us some suggestions on the maintaining the specified sleep current mentioned in the datasheet and also options to disable the in-Built SMPS Power to reduce the overall current consumption in sleep mode of the controller.PFA of the test code Zip file for your reference.Your quick response to this query would be highly appreciated. Thanks & regardsDarshan R
Hi all,I have a setup where many devices need to to respond to a message on 868MHz from a sender. At the moment I am using random delay to space the responses but I will like to use the RadioIsChannelFree() function.Do anyone use this function? Is it a recommended way for avoiding transmission collision and if so are there good example on how to properly utilize this function?Ola
Hello community,Currently, I have Lorawan gateway: p-nucleo-LRWAN1 and Lorawan node: B-L072Z LRWAN1.I'm looking forward to suggestions from you, which company gateway and node will be better than this current gateway and node. with current devices, I'm facing data rate as well as long-distance communication. In the current node when I fill a 242-byte buffer and try to transmit data it only transmits data at SF7 and SF8 and not at SF9,10,11,12. At this SF I'm getting empty packets. And at distance of 50 meters only from gateway SF turns from 7 to 12.Thank you.
I encounter the following error when connecting STM32WB15 to ST-Link V2.Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authenticationonly VDD,GND, and SWIO and SWCLK pins connected..package is ..UFQFPN48what is problem..?
Hello,I have been getting into BLE applications with the stm32wb55 nucleo development board. I am currently developing my application over the BLE p2pServer app. I have modified the program such that the P2PS_Send_notification() method keeps sending a sensor data in a loop. however when i measure the data rate, it is somewhere around 4500bytes/sec. This was consistent with the results I got when I tested the Data Throughput app, and when i pressed SW2 the data throughput changed to around 40000 bytes/sec (these values are still way lower that what other people have experienced but I will get to that later as 40000 bytes/sec is good enough for me at the moment). However, when I tried to change the PHY to 2M on my application, the results were exactly the same. The wireless stack version is 1.18.03 and I have followed all steps mentioned in AN5289 section 7.8 and section 8.6.9 but nothing worked for me and my data rate is still at around 4500 bytes/sec. Any help would be greatly apprecia
Hello everybody, I am currently building a STM32 BLE software and in this software I got a very long custom loop. My problem is I want to continously check whether there is data received with BLE, if there is, process the data, and return to main loop. How can I do that? Sincerely,Yusuf.
Hi, I'm developing a BLE P2P application to exchange data. I have encountered a problem while debugging. The status for the BLE when turn on is APP_BLE_FAST_ADV, but when I restart the debug sessions the status is APP_BLE_IDLE. It looks like the CPU2 and th stack it is not restarting with the debug restart session, only when power up. When I'm not debugging the application, it works well, I can scan the BLE device. But, when I want to restart the BLE discovering process (due to scan timeout, or I have canceled the discover process), it is not working, the status reamains as APP_BLE_IDLE. Thanks,Pablo
Hi! :waving_hand:I have programmed a STM32WB5MMG with the SBSFU + OTA + User app. The SBSFU is able to start the user app with no problem, and the user app is able to start the OTA app.The problem comes when starting the update process. With STM32CubeMonitorRF there is no problem: the device is updated to the new version of the user app. However, when the operation is performed with the ST BLE Sensor app (iOS), the image is sent (100%), but the OTA does not restart to install the new user app and the 100% message does not disappear from the mobile app. With the normal OTA (without SBSU) I have been able to update the versions of the user app with the mobile application. My question is if STM32CubeMonitorRF and the mobile application ST BLE Sensor manage differently the OTA procedure (if so, to know these differences to be able to implement them in our mobile application where the updates will be done in production), or if it is a bug of the mobile app when managing sfb files.Best regards
Hello,We are using STM32WB55CEU6 in one of our project and we are facing the issue in BLE. We checked all the powers and soldering related things, everything looks fine. But BLE is not able to advertise. Also, from the firmware side the same code is working in Nucleo board. We used 2450AT18B0100001E Antenna and DEA162450BT-1298A1 Filter.Let me know if the Circuit has any issue.Below I am attaching the Schematic File for MCU section.Thank You.
Hi,I just want to know whether STM32WB5MMG module supports LE Audio since it has Bluetooth LE 5.4. If it supports can anyone help how to do it.Thanks and Regards,LR.2
I use STM32WB sample code to build project and need to know BLE client address from BLE server during connecting request. if is possible, could you please point me what API or data structure I can study. thank you.best regards,Langston
Hi :) I am trying to port the Bluetooth Firmware of B-L475E-IOT01A STM32L4 Discovery Kit provided by ST to BlueNRG-M2SA BLE Module. But failing to communicate. Is firmware compatible across both Bluetooth Modules?
I am using STM32wl55jc1 nucleo board using subghz_phy_per application provided by "en.stm32cubewl-v1-3-0 SDk" using FSK Trying to communicate with efr32fg23 silabs rf module withe same rf freq is this communication is possiable if yes recommend any configuratuons/applications. Thank You
Hello,I am using STM32WB55RE (MCU) in my custom HW and sdk "STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.16.0".I want to get debug log using SWD. (I am using ST-LINK/V2)I have created test project for testing swd logging.I followed below video link while creating test project.Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Efgp34LbkLUCan you please check my project configuration? and help me to fix it.Thanks,
Hello, I'm trying to use STM32WLE5CCU6 MCU as a radio module transceiver.I have followed the MB1874_LowPower reference design down to it's 0.7 mm substrate thickness.I connected the internal MCU RF power supply pins required like in the reference design and made sure i connected both of oscillators. I made sure to connect the necessary solder jumpers as well especially for the internal power supplies. However I can't seem to be able to run the MCU as neither a transmitter or receiver. But when the program reaches the line of code Radio.Rx() I can not communicate with MCU anymore via STM32 debugger. So I can't run my MCU with this program. How do I fix this problem? Any help is appreciated.
HI Madam Sir, Had anyone tried to port the cable replacement sample included in the Firmware package to STM32WB55CC? This MCU has different pins and FLASH sizes.Thank you.Ian C Mosquera
Hello!I'm currently trying to get two B-U585I-IOT02A (STM32U585AI) boards to communicate with UART over BLE. I'm using the BLE_CableReplacement example project (STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.13.3/Projects/P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo/Applications/BLE/BLE_CableReplacement) as a starting point, as these boards are essentially supposed to replace physical communication wires. The STM32U585AI boards have a STM32WB5MMG Bluetooth module on-board, but I have not been able to find a way to flash the wireless coprocessor binaries onto it. The release notes do not include procedures for flashing the STM32U585AI boards. I'm also missing the Firmware Upgrade Services button on the left-hand menu of the STM32CubeProgrammer GUI despite being updated to the latest STM32CubeProgrammer version. I apologize in advance if these are novice-level questions - I've only just started using the STM32 ecosystem (~1-2 weeks at this point), so thank you for bearing with me!To summarize, here are the questions I have:How do I flash
