Good evening....I have a few questions:1. Can someone please explain why with CHAR_PROP_WRITE_WITHOUT_RESP pairing does NOT work but if I change to CHAR_PROP_WRITE pairing works? I am using Display Only, MITM and no bonding. Using either one places CubeMX generated code within the same case statement. ACI_GATT_ATTRIBUTE_MODIFIED_VSEVT_CODE2. Also with respect to #1 above I was wondering why CubeMX doesn't put (for either property above) statements within the case ACI_GATT_WRITE_PERMIT_REQ_VSEVT_CODE?3. Finally with respect to GATT events. Who is GATT_NOTIFY_ATTRIBUTE_WRITE notifying, the application on the client, the application on the server??? Should you only be using GATT_NOTIFY_....AND_WAIT_FOR_APPL_RESP when Indications are enabled as that is certainly what the verbiage sounds like?4. Does ST have some good documentation somewhere describing a lot of these terms, as it appears to me you are at your own an
Hi,I'm usin the seed LoRa-e5 with the BME680.I want send the output of the sensor through uart to the console. The thing is, that most of the output values are float.I'm using the LoRaWAN_End_Node sample as base.Regards,Johannes
Hi, I'm using the APP_LOG function to print data to serial. Here's how i do it:APP_LOG(TS_OFF, VLEVEL_L, "%d,%d,%d,%d,%d,", front_brake_pressure, rear_left_wheel_speed, rear_right_wheel_speed, front_left_wheel_speed, front_right_wheel_speed);APP_LOG(TS_OFF, VLEVEL_L, "%d,%d,%d,%d,%f,%f,%f\n", inverter_fail, bms_fail, imd_fail, bspd_fail, latitude, longitude, altitude);APP_LOG(TS_OFF, VLEVEL_L, "\n\r");But for some reason I can only print int variables, why float doesn't work? And how can I print float variables aswell?Thanks in advance!
HiI use free-rtos with stm32wb55.I use some queues, they all behave as expected except for one of them (led driver queue). It seemed that some of the messages being sent (to the led driver queue) are ignored or missed.I added a debug code and found out that the number of messages being sent to the queue is equal to the messages being received but the content being sent is sometime different. I explored it and found out that messages being sent shortly one after another are being "recieved" the same as the last: for example: if 3 messages being sent (with no delay between them) it is received as 3 same messages which are equal to the last message (from the 3 messages).A delay between mesaages sending sometimes help. What can be the problem ? Thanks
Hello everyone,I'm looking to built my own lorawan network. Currently I'm using loriot server. As we need to pay these server. I'm looking to build my own.Looking for the help/guidance on do we need any type of access or permission from these gateway hardware manufactures to configure there gateway on particular server? As of my search connection to a lorawan server relies on software embedded by the gateway hardware manufacturer. If this is the case can anyone help me with how can i proceed about above case.Thank you.
Hello everyoneI'm trying to using/operate L072Z LRWAN1 in class c. I'm able to know that node is operating in class c( I'm attaching images below). But i want to disable the receiving window to get faster data rate. In class A I'm getting 20 frames per minute at SF7. when i try switching to class C number of frames per minute switched to 12 per minute. As the number of frames are reducing the data rate is also decreasing. Hence i want to disable the receiving window to get faster data rateI have done these changes: #define LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CLASS CLASS_A to#define LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CLASS CLASS_CIs there any other settings to do to operate in class C?.This image is of terminal In class A.This is the terminal image of Class C.This image show the Tx and Rx sequence in Class C and it matches with terminal image for class C.Not able to understand the sequence. Why after Tx, RxC,Rx1,RxC,Rx2 then RxC?Looking for any suggestion that can be helpful.I'm not able to proceed further. Looking
I am using Zigbee for wireless communication using Zigbee_OnOff_Router_NVM as a reference. The problem I am currently facing is that if I turn off the Router for a long time, it may take about 20 seconds for the data to reach the Coordinator the next time it is started. What can I do to reduce the time it takes to reconnect? Help me.
Hi ST Support Team,I am reaching out regarding an issue I have encountered while attempting to utilize USB CCID functionality on the STM32WB55 MCU. Recently, I integrated the CCID driver from the following link into my project.https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32_mw_usb_device/tree/master/Class/CCIDFollowing the integration, I successfully configured the USB device, and my system(windows PC) can now detect the STM32WB MCU as a smart card reader. However, upon further testing, I encountered an unexpected behavior: when attempting to communicate with the smart card reader using a Python script, the STM32WB USB port is detected as a Virtual COM port rather than a smart card reader. As a result, I am unable to establish communication with the MCU via script.I am reaching out to kindly request your assistance in resolving this issue. Could you please provide guidance or solutions to ensure that the STM32WB MCU is correctly detected as a smart card reader and able to communicate w
Hello, I am developing a device using STM32WL chipset.I'm currently taking the FCC certification test, but it failed in R.S.E (Radio spurious emmision), so I've been reviewing it for 3 weeks. There was an FCC certification logo on the STM32WL Ev-kit, so I searched for the FCC ID and found a test report like the attached file.If you look at page 23, it says "Final measurement detector: CISPR Average". Is the AVG value measured by CISPR correct? The device we are developing is in a situation where Peak passes in the FCC R.S.E section, but fails in AVG.Since our device only had a difference between Peak and AVG of 3 to 4 dBuV/m, we asked the certification company to measure it using CISPR.However, I received a reply from the certification company that they only measure CISPR below 1GHz.Please help.thank you
Appreciate pointer to simpliest example for STM32CubeWL sequencer.Specially "Task registration and execution" and "Wait for an event and set event" to do the below sequence. I have AN5406 and reading.....read temperature sensor, transmit on STM32WL5JC Lora, sleep, wake up on end_of_tx, set timer to nnn seconds, sleep, wake up and repeat. TIA
Which ST Link programmer is best for STM32WL5JC (Lora MCU) for advanced debug facility (still reading, ??trace, monitor??)TIA
How to setup debug session with C breakpoint, stepping, variable read/write, etc. (and advanced facility like monitor, etc. I am still reading...)TIA
I use stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_fw.bin v1.13.2 on STM32WB5MMG.The installation address is 0x080CF000.What happens if I write the stack to the wrong address (0x080C7000, the install address for v 1.13.0).In my board, it looks work fine. Is there any concern or limitation?
Hello, I'm STM F/W Beginner .Recently, I was tasked with a project to implement BLE with the Stm32wb MCU.As a result of referring to Example such as Heartrates or P2PServer Projects, I could successfully send Data to a mobile phone by Nucleo Board. However, I still can't receive and handle Data with my board. Is there any example I can refer to?
Hello all, I made custom PCB board with STM32WB5MMG in my project. I have confirmed that the SWD pins are working and Code is Debugging ok.I have also set up HSEM, IPCC, RCC, RTC, RF, STM32_WPAN required but I can't detect the Bluetooth.Iam using STM32CUBEMX V6.8.1 and STM32CUBEIDE V1.12.1Firmware package version is 1.16.0 (STM32Cube_FW_WB V1.16.0) .
Good morning,I am using an STM32 WL55JC1 starting from the end node example.I am unable to figure out in the code how to set how long or how many tries it makes before it stops trying to connect to the gateawy.Could you please point me to this information?Thank you very much,Roberto
i set fido related services and characteristics using cube mx for stm32wb55 development board why i am not getting any value in my coustum event handler.
Hi ,I'm trying to Perform OTA update using ST BLE ToolBox ,I have programmed my STM32WB5MMG with the OTA binary. The problem comes when starting the update process. With ST BLE Sensor there is no problem: the device is updated to the new version of the user app. However, when the operation is performed with the STM32 BLE ToolBox app (iOS), the image is sent (100%), but the OTA does not restart to install the new user app and the 100% message does not disappear from the mobile app.Andriod version of ST BLE ToolBox is working properely and the device is updated to the new version of the user app.So , ST BLE ToolBox (Android version) and ST BLE Sensor (IOS version) are working properely .ST BLE ToolBox (IOS version) has a problem that the image is sent (100%), but the OTA does not restart to install the new user app and the 100% message does not disappear from the mobile app.IOS Version 17.4.1ST BLE ToolBox IOS version 1.2.6Best regards and thanks for yo
@ST Community @STTwo-32 @Tinnagit @Tesla DeLorean 1) I have done few changes from "#define LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CLASS CLASS_A" to "#define LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CLASS CLASS_C" in the "lora_app.h" file and I also changed "#define DISABLE_LORAWAN_RX_WINDOW 0" to "#define DISABLE_LORAWAN_RX_WINDOW 1" in "lorawan_conf.h . Is there are more settings to do to operate this boards in Class C?2) Is there anyone who's working on class C with Wl55JC1/L072Z LRWAN1. I have went to community and they are not able to work on class C with Wl55jc1. After few settings and some has suggest to set up the LoRaWAN server to tell the device to switch to class C, and i'm able to understand how to setup server? If you have any information to operate these Board in Class C, do guide me.Looking for your guidance.Thank you
Hello.I have encountered an issue during the migration from STM32WB5MMG to STM32WB1MMC.When I generate the default code using CubeMX with STM32WB1MMC, no errors occur. However, when I try to transfer the code I was using with STM32WB5MMG to STM32WB1MMC, errors arise. Of course i have undergone the migration from STM32WB5MMG to STM32WB1MMC. Below, I'll outline my current situation. During compilation with IAR, I ran into an error. Upon checking the source size via the map file, it appears as follows: After examining the RAM size, it seems that the capacity of SRAM1 is less than 12K. I believe this shouldn't cause a compilation error. What actions can I take to address this issue?
Do I need to set the net impedances of differential pair from RFI_P and RFI_N to 50ohm?
Hi.I'm using stm32wb55 MCU.ADC is running in continuous mode with 6 channels using DMA for the results. I want to use analog watchdog interrupt on just 1 channel that is on rank 2.I have 2 problems, first the interrupts occured only for the channel in rank 1. I tried replacing the channel in rank 1 and the watchdog always considered only rank 1 channel. Second, I'm using 12 bits resolution and I checked RES bits are set to 00, but from what I tested it looks like the value triggers the watchdog is right shifted by 4 bits, for example if data received is 2116(0x844), low threshold needs to be set to more than 132(0x84) to trigger the interrupt.Does anyone had any of these problems or have any idea how to solve it?Any help will be appreciated. Thanks
1) Class A for Unicast.Class B synchronous transmission (thanks to beacon) for Unicast or Multicast.Class C for continuous transmission for Unicast or Multicast.According to this details will Class C will give little bit more data rate then Class B?2) I have done few changes from "#define LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CLASS CLASS_A" to "#define LORAWAN_DEFAULT_CLASS CLASS_C" in the "lora_app.h" file and I also changed "#define DISABLE_LORAWAN_RX_WINDOW 0" to "#define DISABLE_LORAWAN_RX_WINDOW 1" in "lorawan_conf.h . Is there are more settings to do to operate this boards in Class C?3) Is there anyone who's working on class C with Wl55JC1/L072Z LRWAN1. I have went to community and they are not able to work on class C with Wl55jc1. After few settings and some has suggest to set up the LoRaWAN server to tell the device to switch to class C, and i'm able to understand how to setup server?Thank you in advance.
Hello,I am developing a custom board with the STM32WB55RGV6 Chip and an on-board PCB antenna. The document is for a 2-layer PCB and I am needing to do a 4-layer PCB. I don't completely have the recommended stack-up, but altium shows its very close to 50Ohms. Will this work?
Hello developers,I am currently developing all in one AT Slave firmware for STM32WL, which can handle both lorawan and sigfox AT commands. I have tested both AT Slave example of Sigfox and LoRaWAN one by one and it's working as expected. When i open the .ioc file of this examples (AT Slave LoRaWAN and Sigfox) in CubeMX, i can see it doesn't allow to enable the Sigfox/LoRaWAN middleware in LoRaWAN/Sigfox example. So i would like to know how i can enable both the middleware in same firmware, so that my master device can leverage the use of both technologies (LoRaWAN & Sigfox ) in the same chipset.
