I'm trying to build a Touch Application using the STML496G-DISC0 Board. I try to create my project using the TouchGFX Designer App, selecting my Board and either a blank or the one matching Template (doesn't make a difference in this case). I can than Generate Code, Run Simulator or Run Target (which also works btw, the Application is successfully flashed onto my Board and i can see whatever i have made inside of the Designer). However i want to open and edit the Project and write Code and Logic for the GUI with an IDE (STM Cube IDE in my Case). So after i Generate Code from the Touch GFX Designer i open the Project with STM CubeMX to generate a project with STM Cube IDE as target IDE and check the box with 'Generate Under Root'. The first problem here is that CubeMX is showing me an Error in the Pinout & Configurations tab under Software Packs -> STM X-Cube TouchGFX (i'm using version 4.16.0, since 4.16.1 doesn't seem to be supported by TouchGFX Designer) -> TouchGFX Generat
I am having 10.1 Inch display with CTP. The touch controller is ILI2511 at USB interface only. It is configured as multi touch point touch pad.I connected touch panel with PC, it is detected by PC and multi touch test screen appears on PC screen, where I can see touch point where I touches the touch panel.I want to use this panel with STM32H7 MCU at USB interface. Can anyone help.
Hi There,I have a new STM32H747-DISCO here. The board came without the demo flashed on it, also the demo can not be flashed, see here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00002ASl3lSAD/stm32h747-discovery-blankMost of the examples in the cube package concerning the lcd do not work, see here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00002A3uJaSAJ/stm32h747-lcd-display-issueThe BSP example doesn't build, the project import looks wonky, links are incorrect. Some stemwin examples that build will not flash, for example STemWin_acceleration_CM7.As the linked problems have also been posted very recently is there a new revision of this board that is not compatible with the examples?I have tried STMCubeIde 1.11 and 1.12, also tried on windows, linux and even a Mac.Exact same issues on all of them.Anyone any ideas how to progress here as basically very little is working!
I've generated a STM32F429I-DISCO project using CubeIDE's CubeMX.I've added the X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX 4.13.0 software to the project, under Additional Software.By changing LTDC and FMC settings, I was able to configure X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX successfully. The project had a file with a .part extension. (I can't remember the filename, but an ApplicationTemplate.touchgfx.part still exists, it might well be that.) Clicking that launched TouchGFX Designer.I used the designer to choose a template project, saved it and also clicked Generate Code.Exiting TouchGFX designer, I found that it had generated code in the CubeIDE project. Specifically project/Middlewares/ST/touchgfx and project/TouchGFX trees had been added. After a few include-path tweaks, the project built and ran, but showed only a white screen. When I looked at the generated main.c code, I found only a dummy task. No GUI task had been created or added.I added the following, based on other questions on this site:#define GUI_TASK_PRIORITY ( tskIDLE
Hello,I am trying to optimize a TouchGFX project to see if I can fit it all in a 1 MB internal flash (stm32h725agi6).The design our graphic designers have come up with are requiring the same image, but two different sizes. This leaves two options:1) Store two static images in the flash2) Store one scalable image in the flashI'm having a hard time deciding because I cannot find information on the memory allocation for the Scalable Image feature in TouchGFX. Can someone please explain how this is done?
Hello,In previous versions of touchGFX, I could easily translate texts by editing an .xlsx file and then replacing it in the assets folder. However, I've noticed that in version 4.22.1, there is only an .xml file generated when I create touchGFX files. I tried editing it and replacing it, but I'm encountering an 'Error on the .xml file' when I open touchGFX. Is there a way to edit translations outside of touchGFX?I've also noticed that I can't filter texts by view anymore, and I need to group them manually, which is quite challenging for a migrated project. Is there a feature that I can use to identify where text is in the GUI?Thanks for your assistance.
Hello. I apologize in advance for any mistakes, as English is not my native language. I've encountered a problem: I have a custom container named ContainerAddTab, which contains a ScrollableContainer element, named scrollableContainer1. Into this element, I insert ProgramTab tabs named programTab. A problem occurs when adding more than 5 tabs. The spacing between the tabs begins to increase and reaches the width of the screen. This behavior is always the same and does not change. What could be the problem? ProgramTab::ParamsTab& params = ProgramTab::getStruct(); tab.setWidth(params.tabWidth); tab.setHeight(params.tabHeight); if (programTabs.size() - 1 > 0) { tab.setCoords(__TAB_START_X + params.tabWidth * (programTabs.size() - 1) + params.spacing * (programTabs.size() - 1), __TAB_START_Y); } else { tab.setCoords(__TAB_START_X, __TAB_START_Y); } tab.setTabClickedCallback(tabClickedCallback); tab.setActive(true); screen->loadProgram(tab.getId()); scrollableContainer1.a
I built a small project using TouchGFX (v4.22.1) and it compiles, simulates, and can be loaded onto an EDT EVK043013B kit. The MCU is STM32F750. When I bring the TouchGFX project into STM32CubeIDE (v1.13.1) and do a build, it gets 1 build error. It is from the TouchGFX generated code:no matching function for call to 'touchgfx::ConstFont::ConstFont(int, int, int, int, int, int, int, int, int, int, int, int)' GeneratedFont.hpp /EVK043013B/Application/User/TouchGFX/generated/fonts/include/fonts line 34Again, it build fine in TouchGFX, but has this error in STM32CubeIDE. Any idea what could be the issue?
Hi,I was placing text into a text area, and no matter what I do, it comes out cut from the sides.the code: textArea1.setTypedText(touchgfx::TypedText(T_ID_PLACE_CART_IN_CARTON));invalidate(); the result:I suppose it could be the bounding area, but how can I fix this?
MCU: STM32H725FLASH: Internal SDRAM:External The driver used is the one used in H735-DK.I am experiencing an issue where some images (pixels) are not displayed correctly on the LCD and I am trying to debug it.I have two questions:How to verify if data has been correctly stored in the framebuffer (0x90000000)?In debug mode, after the screen appears, I paused the operation and checked the framebuffer address (0x90000000) using the memory monitor provided by STM32CubeIDE. I would like to confirm if this method is correct. For Box widgets, I confirmed that data is stored in the framebuffer address using the above method. However, for Text widgets, data was not found in the framebuffer address.I used the method mentioned above because it seems that the pause function during write in the memory monitor is not working for SDRAM using MDMAI would like to know the data path from the framebuffer through TouchGFX to LTDC.Before exporting data via H/W RGB interface, I want to ensure the data is cor
Hi,I would like to try the hello world program from Stem win on my discovery board. Stem Win is not supported in STM cube ideCan anyone tell me how to proceed further to create and implement the project.Which IDE should I use.
I used TOUCHGFX 4.22.1 to generate code and used IAR 9.40.1 to open the project. When build the project, it shows missing the the file 'Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source/portable/IAR/ARM_CM4F/port.c' , Could you provide a patch to fix it ? Thanks for your help. @Osman SOYKURT
These are the steps I followed in order to integrate my Toucg gfx project(made on a custom board) with my desired stm32Cubeide project.1. Open CubeIDE and create a project for the STm32H747 microcontroller as the microcontroller has two cores (M4 and M7) and so I set the setting for Core M7 and configure the pin and clock for cubeMX in order to interface LCD with the microcontroller and then cubeMX ask to generate code.2. A touch GFX file is created when CubeMX generates code and the touchgfx file is present in the CM7 folder of the project.3. Opened the touchApplication.touchgfx.part and Imported my desired touch gfx project and then tried to generate the code it gave an error(first Error).[ Post Generate Targettouchgfx update_projectUnable to locate C:/Users/khurr/Desktop/Stm32_cubeIDE_projects/Custom_Board/.cprojectFailedFailed]4. Then I try to debug the main.c file for CM7 But it gives error(2nd Error). There is no error if I am using a single-core microcontroller stm32CubeIDE but f
When using touchgfx buttons, a single press can trigger multiple times, and using regular software to delay seems to have no effect. Do you have a good way to suppress shaking or detect button bounce?
Hi all,I am working with TouchGFX Version 4.22.1 Designer. When copying some items and paste them in another screen, the arrangement is inverted. Then e.g. a background rectangle covers a text element and therefore is not seen any longer.I have to manually rearrange all items after copy/paste.Is there a possibility to disable rearranging the pasted items? This is a very nasty action as I often have to reuse a designed screen with a lot of overlayed items. Then I only have to change some items only. Rearranging then 20+ items is not a nice job...Would be perfect to change this behavior so that rearranging is not necessary after the paste.Thank you.BR GS.

I have been trying to make the demo found here https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/ui-development/scenarios/loading-images-at-runtime#loading-jpeg-files work, but it does not. I am trying to make it work on another empty TouchGFX 4.22.0 project but with no success. I am getting this error. Please help.
Hello STM Community,I am currently working on integrating a third party SDK(blockchain sdk) with my FreeRTOS-based project on an STM32 microcontroller, and I have encountered a series of linking errors that I'm struggling to resolve. The build process goes smoothly until I set SDK=true in my CMake build configuration, after which I receive multiple errors related to functions that are typically provided by a POSIX-compliant operating system (such as _exit, _read, _write etc). /Applications/STM32CubeIDE.app/Contents/Eclipse/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.macos64_1.1.1.202309131626/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/bin/ld: /Applications/STM32CubeIDE.app/Contents/Eclipse/plugins/com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.11.3.rel1.macos64_1.1.1.202309131626/tools/bin/../lib/gcc/arm-none-eabi/11.3.1/../../../../arm-none-eabi/lib/libg.a(libc_a-fstatr.o): in function `_fstat_r': /build/
Hello, I have one problem in touchGFX with DynamicGraphs (scroll)and interactions.I have very simple animation in TouchGFX (version 4.22.1). Just one screen with 2 dynamicGraphs. The first Graph (Graph 1) is displayed for the first 3 seconds (Graph 2 is hidden). Then Graph 1 is hidden and displayed second graph (Graph 2) for 3 seconds (First Graph 1 is hidden). If I choose “Wrap and Clear” Graph (dynamic behavior) or “Wrap and Overwrite” graph everything works very well. But if I choose “Scroll Graph” Type of Dynamic Behavior animation does not work very well. I have problems with interactions. Graphs are not displayed as long as defined in Interactions (3seconds). The first graph is shown sometimes 15s (interaction “wait for” is set to 3s) and then second graph is displayed maybe sometimes 8s (also set 3s).If I remove function in Cube IDE (Version 1.13.2) “dynamicGraphFlow.addDataPoint(25)” means no line at graph. But in this case the animation is displayed OK. (1 graph is display
Hi, I'm working on a new project in which I'm using a custom stm32u599 with a 5inch tft display with MIPI interface , I can't find much documentation about using MIPI or setting up such interface to work with touchgfx , can anyone provide some guidance about how i should get started ? thanks
Hello,My TouchGFX application is outputting a static image in the GUI wrongly and I am unsure where the error stems from.Board: STM32H747I-DISCODisplay: Innolux G057VCE-TH1 (640wx480h RGB666)Without TGFX, I am able to output a chosen static image array correctly, and when it is on external memory. Thus, I believe my configuration for the LTDC and FMC is correct. When using TGFX, I set up breakpoints for the LTDC FIFO underrun interrupt handler, and it was never triggered. In TGFX Designer, whether I have the orientation as portrait or landscape, and fill it with the image filling the screen, the output is the same. This project was initially generated from TouchGFX Designer for the discovery board, and I gradually modified it to accommodate this display. An important change was commenting out DSI and old display controller calls (this new screen does not have a controller, it just uses parallel RGB).When I am debugging, the program does not run into any infinite-wh
Hi,i'm using cubemx and updated from touchgfx 4.21.2 to 4.22.1 and also installed the newest touchgfx designer. After regeneration of the project certain files like TextKeysAndLanguages.hpp are missing. So all my texts are missing.i can see it in my git that these files were deletedAlso <fonts/ApplicationFontProvider.hpp> is missing and generates build errorsIn TouchGFX designer i see all my texts and this is my text config (which i did not change after updating from the last version)Any idea what might be the error?Regards
Hi,So I'm pretty sure I've discovered a bug of varying severity related to having a bitmap image in memory and trying to add it to TouchGFX with the dynamicBitmapCreateExternal() function.I found this in our project board using a STM32H750 with 480x800 display using 16-bit colour depth. But something similar/also wrong appears to occur in the Simulator (using 4.20.0) and on a STM32F429 Disco board.I've narrowed the scenario down to the following, having tried to isolate all our code from the problem.Create a new project with empty screen. Add one image to the screen, but with no image selected. In the user code (sub-class) for the view, add some code to generate or otherwise use a bitmap image of RGB565 format. You can use a predefined one, or just generate an array of pixels to use (using touchgfx::LCD16bpp::getNativeColorFromRGB(255, 255, 255) or similar for each 16-bit pixel).Create a BMP cache using Bitmap::setCache(), and then register the bitmap using dynamicBitmapC
I created an empty project with TouchGFX. immediately after, when I activate and compile Ethernet and LIWIP modules via the CUBE IDE, I get the following error: Descriptionfatal error: lwip.h: No such file or directory main.c/stm32h745i_disco_CM7/Application/User/Core line 23 C/C++ Problem. When I create a project with Freertos without TouchGFX and activate and compile Ethernet and LIWIP modules in the same way, it adds all the paths to the project. TouchGFX version: 4.21.3 CUBEIDE versiyon: 1.13.2I uninstalled and reinstalled the CUBE I DEVE Touch FX compilers, made all the updates. but I'm having problems when I create the project with TouchGFX before.
