Hi, got a problem opening the .ioc.It shows me this error.
Hello, I am new to the touchgfx GUI generation. I am working on a simple touchscreen based thermal camera using an MLX sensor. I would like to draw the thermal image on to the screen of my STM32H750B-dk board.I thought of doing it via an dynamic bitmap by running an rtos task for comunication with the sensor, taking the measured temperature data and converting it to RGB565 equivalent bitmap, by simply scaling the measured data from min to max in a 0-255 scale which then goes to a color pallet lookup table. This way I get an RGB565 pixel color for each sensor pixel. I am sending the addres of the first pixel since the pixels are stored in an array which I am then storing in vector since the Touchgfx sreenView is code in cpp.Now comes the problem I can not get the Bitmap::dynamicBitmapcreate(w,h,Bitmap::format); to return a valid BitmapId. I tried following many tutorials and solutions to similar problems with creating the required cache but whenever I try to assaign the cacheAddress to a
When starting a debug after uploading to target I get this error:"(Read)Failed determine breakpoint type"this happens randomly as I recreate my project all working good at start but then I get it again randomly.only thing I can guess it is happening after using CubeMX and 'generate code',even happened when I just generate without any change to configuration.once it happen I can't fix it, I need to delete the project and create a new one.the only thing I found is some change in the .ioc file after 'generate code'at the line start with"ProjectManager.functionlistsort=1-MX_GPIO_Init-GPIO-false-HAL-true,2-SystemClock_Config-RCC........"while I didn't change anything in configuration.more wired things are:size of this file shown at console 96bytes???? ****Memory Programming ...Opening and parsing file: ST-LINK_GDB_server_a32308.srecFile : ST-LINK_GDB_server_a32308.srecSize : 96.00 B Address : 0x08000000 *****it also says in disassembly"f3af4804: Failed to execute MI command:
I'm trying to work with a slider on the STM32F429I-Discovery board.I have build a GUI with the GUI-tool.The widgets are created in the LogViewerDLG.c file as follows:static const GUI_WIDGET_CREATE_INFO _aDialogCreate[] = {{ FRAMEWIN_CreateIndirect, "LogViewer", ID_FRAMEWIN_0, 0, 0, 240, 320, 0, 0x64, 0 },{ MULTIEDIT_CreateIndirect, "Multiedit", ID_MULTIEDIT_0, 6, 4, 214, 149, 0, 0x0, 0 },{ BUTTON_CreateIndirect, "Auto", ID_BUTTON_0, 9, 244, 100, 50, 0, 0x0, 0 },{ BUTTON_CreateIndirect, "Manual", ID_BUTTON_1, 117, 244, 100, 50, 0, 0x0, 0 },{ SLIDER_CreateIndirect, "Slider", ID_SLIDER_0, 7, 164, 214, 35, 0, 0x0, 0 },{ EDIT_CreateIndirect, "Edit", ID_EDIT_0, 72, 206, 80, 20, 0, 0x64, 0 },The Multiedit, Edit and buttons all work correctly. I am having trouble working with the slider though.To set the range and get the slider value I need the SLIDER_Handle hObj. I have no idea what the Handle is or how to find it. I've tried these functions, but they do not work:SLIDER_SetRange(ID_SLID
I got a problem when building the project in the CubeIDE.According to the console, the function "function1" is not declared, but in the .hpp it is.I think the .cpp is not realizing that the .hpp is changing. Here, when I use the content assit, function1 doesnt show up.
I got a problem when saving a TouchGFX project and open it with the CubeIDE.The first time I opened a proyect from TouchGFX with the CubeIDE, it looked like this. But then, when I do new proyects they look like this. I can't do anything and I tried uninstalling both programs and reinstalling them but It does nothing.I really need help.
How can I get the value from a textArea so I can compare it with this '-' character?
Hello,I'm getting the wildcard character '?' displayed for 3x Japanese characters, ノ今速. All the other CJK characters in the texts are displayed fine, before and after these missing characters (so not a text field truncation).I've checked that all these characters exist in the CJK font for the typography. I have defined the respective Unicode values 0x30CE, 0x4ECA, 0x901F in the wildcard ranges and pasted these characters into the wildcard characters for the typography. I have deleted and regenerated the generated folder, but there is no difference in the output. There are also no warnings during code generation that a character is not in the font. The text translations specifying these characters are all defined as resources (not single use texts). They are displayed using touchgfx::Unicode::UnicodeChar TXTBuffer[TXT_SIZE];(void)Unicode::snprintf(TXTBuffer, TXT_SIZE, "%s", touchgfx::TypedText(T_RESOURCE_NAME.getText());I've found they are displayed correctly
Hi, I decided to update TouchGFX in my project from 4.20 to the newest 4.23. I noticed some artifacts in font rendering from time to time. Below I attached a photo of the issue. Do you have any ideas why this is happening?Regards,Piotr
Hello,I'm working with a slider and ran into this problem. When I definesetValueRange(0, 255);and then I set the valuesetValue(25);so everything works. But I would like to turn the values on the slider. That means I will entersetValueRange(255, 0);At this moment, the restrictive conditions are poorly applied. In the code for the slider I found the problem here:int16_t Slider::valueToPosition(int value) const { value = MIN(valueRangeMax, value); value = MAX(value, valueRangeMin); ...In order for the slider to work for the range "0, 255" as well as for "255, 0", this code needs to be modified.I used the following code. The original is in the comment and there is also code using if. Uncommented, the functional code is using a conditional expression, which may not be as readable:int16_t Slider::valueToPosition(int value) const { /* // original // value = MIN(valueRangeMax, value); // value = MAX(value, valueRangeMin); if (valueRangeMax > valueRangeMin) { value = MIN(valueRangeMax,
Does in the TouchGFX is scrollable container animation? I use doScroll() function but it would be nicer if it scrolls automatically with animation or smoothly.
I'm working with STM32F746G- Disco BoardThe display and the sensor are not working simultaneously.when the display packages are there, the data from the sensor is not coming. If the display packages are not there, the data from the sensor is readable.I'm using the ultrasonic sensor, and the data is not getting when the display files are there.if I'm checking the voltage of the output pin with a multimeter it is 0v when the display packages are there.if I'm checking the voltage of the output pin with a multimeter it is 3.3 v when the display packages are not there.Kindly clear me that whether both the display and sensor can be worked simultaneously?
Hello, once again the same question - Custom Widget.Everything I do now I do with a Custom Container, but I'm wondering how to do it with a Custom Widget. Can an existing widget be used in a custom widget? For example, can I draw a circle and a line under the circle and have it in its own widget?I'm trying to look at the sample QR Code example, but it's broken in the current version of touchgfx (at least I can't compile the result). Is there any sample code for a custom widget besides the mentioned QR Code?
I've been using dynamicGraph regularly by now (mostly in TouchGFX) and, randomly, in the generated code of both the .hpp and .cpp files (mainPageViewBase.hpp/.cpp) istances of elements inside the dynamicGraph are deleted/not generated (GraphelementDots and GraphElementHistogram classes). This causes build to fail. Simply deleting and recreating elements inside dynamicGraph (in TouchGFX) "fixes" the issue (build is successful), but the problem occurs regularly almost every time I build the code, so it is not a practical and definitive solution.Do you think it's a touchGFX bug? Here's what console is reporting while trying to build the code: In file included from ../TouchGFX/gui/include/gui/mainpage_screen/mainPageView.hpp:4, from ../TouchGFX/gui/src/mainpage_screen/mainPageView.cpp:1: ../TouchGFX/generated/gui_generated/include/gui_generated/mainpage_screen/mainPageViewBase.hpp:167:15: error: using-declaration for non-member at class scope 167 | touchgfx::Gra
Hi,As the title says the firmware I'm working on, which has been created using TouchGFX, will not work without having STM32CubeProgrammer installed on the system. Does anyone have any ideas as to why this could be or any drivers etc. that I could maybe use as a dependency instead? Many thanks
Good morning everyone, I'm new to the community and also new to programming. Could someone tell me if with touchGFX you can create buttons that appear from the right or left no matter when you switch from one screen to another? Thank you
Hi.I am working on a project with stm32h750 custom board and touchgfx.2.4'' TFT screen that communicates with SPI interface is used in the project. When I generate the gui with touchgfx, everything looks fine except the colors. For example, if I use a box widget and make its color light blue, it will appear orange on the screen.I use RGB565 as the color format in touchgfx, but it seems to set the colors to 24 bit in the screenViewBase.cpp file.looking forward to your help.Thank you.

Hello,I have issues installing TouchGFX Designer on Windows 11.I would like to install version 4.19.1 to edit an old project built with this version. When I do, I get the following window running endlessly :I also tried to install latest version (4.23.1) and it works. This makes me assume that version 4.19.1 doesn't support Windows 11. Am I right ?I tried to get some information on that topic in TouchGFX documentation but I haven't found an answer so far.Thank you for your answers
Dear [STM Support Team], I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention some challenges I have encountered while using the STM32F750DK in conjunction with the TouchGFX software. I believe it is crucial to address these issues to enhance the user experience and ensure the optimal performance of your products. Pin Assignment Problems:One of the primary challenges I have faced is related to pin assignments, particularly with FMC pins. When incorrect pins are assigned, it leads to various complications. For instance, using Arduino UART pins as output pins causes unforeseen issues. I suggest providing clearer documentation or warnings to help users avoid such pitfalls during the initial setup. Post-Project Generation Scripting Issues:After generating the project using CubeMX, the resulting scripting often appears unclear and displays unexpected behavior. This can be confusing for users, especially those less experienced with the platform. Streamlining the scripti
Hi I am using an STM32F746G DISCO board, I need to read some data from the SD card and then visualize them on the display and afterward, I need to send those data using SPI to the FPGA board, So I need some help insights related to this to achieve this target. I look at some UART examples but I need SPI communication in this case.
Hello ST Community,I hope this message finds you well. I am facing an issue on my STM32H7B3I-DK board after integrating a GUI interface generated by TouchGFX 4.21.3 Designer. tocuhgfx 4.22.1 touchgfx 4.22.1 When using GPU2D for rendering the textArea component in stm32u5a9, there is an issue with the content not being rendered, but the images are not affected. There is a problem with rendering fewer characters when using scrollWheel in combination with the textArea component, but if the image is displayed before updating the textArea, there are no issues with the textArea component. There is really no problem.
Hi, I am currently working on a project that requires loading data from an SD card and displaying them in GUI or I need to have another option to send data using SPI, I am using an STM32F746G Disco board to do this, how to approach this one any idea would help to me.
Hello,I'm working on a vt100 terminal emulator, so I created a custom widget which decodes input stream and then display it on a TFT-LCD by LTDC. It works fine alone, after a custom keyboad added on the top, the simulation will crash when the custom widget try to draw the part under the keyboard, and visual studio throws an exception as shown in the screenshot.what cause this result and how can I avoid it?your help will be appraciated.
