Hi community,We're getting our image from a buffer containing 8bits-values (array of chars). Due to the little-endian architecture and the DMA2D module (apparently) only processing the data as 32bits-values, it is not possible to get correct copy of data (with PFC RGB565 to RGB888).Any help would be appreciated ! Thanksxvbv
i have working on LTDC display controller of STM32h743iit6 to display to text/image.but how i have to choose sdram as frame buffer please provide any reference to work on this thanks
While using touchGFX, which font files should be used for the following languages1.German,2.english,3.french,4.spanish,5.italian,6.portuguese,7.swedish,8.russian,9.czesh,10.polish,11.chinese,12.japanese,13.korean,14.turkishFor each font file what would be the memory required?
Hi !I'm making a small project using Touchgfx and STM32F746.I want to add video playback but I can't find any examples or projects to reference.so, Can I get examples or projects of playing video using Touchgfx?(like MjpegReader in STM32H7Cube..)and Are there plans to add a video player widget in the Touchgfx designer?I look forward to your good response... :)
I downloaded the latest STM32CubeMX v5.4.0Under "Additional Software", TouchGFX v4.13.0 says that it is only compatible with STMCubeMX v5.5.0Where is STMCubeMX v5.5.0?...or...How do I get STM32CubeMX to download a version of TouchGFX that it is compatible with?Cheers,Murray
Hi,i just installed cubemx 5.5.0 to check if touchgfx handling is now better. to my surprise with the new version their is no touchgfx / graphics option to select. Then i found out, that under Help -> Manage embedded software packages i can install the TouchGFX Designer 4.13.0 My problem now: how can i use this software package with cubemx. I did not yet found anything in the new cubemx version to configure graphik libraries. (i want to use a stm32f429 disco board with touchscreen)would be great if anyone can help me.Regards
Dear Friends,I would like to appreciate the effort of STM for providing user friendly software tools and documents support to customers.I am entry level to STM32 MCU, Now I would like to bring my problem statement:I am doing design with STM32H743 device, here my task is to capture camera raw pixel data to external SRAM for image processing. I need to capture a single frame from camera after predefined user exposure time and it will be used for computation. Here we should have full control of exposure time and capturing exposed frame without missing even a single pixel data.I purchased cost effective Nucleo-743ZI development board and configured all interface requirements of camera using STMcubeMX in CubeIDE tool. I have installed HAL library packages for STM32H7 (V1.4) and used those HAL library files.The following problems are faced:1. To configure camera registers, I used I2C1 peripheral using HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit function. It was transmitting only device address and returns HAL_E
I need to add functionality to some framework code (in this case, the painters). What is the best way to do this? I can think of couple of possibilities:Duplicate files I want to modify in the framework and add these new files along side the framework files. Then add these files whenever I get an update to the framework.Or would it be better to add this functionality into the "third party" section of the "Middlewares" folder?I'd appreciate any advice offered.
I can not get the DCMI Working with OV7670 Camera. The Hardware is correct, Camera setup is correct. HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_CONTINUOUS, (uint32_t)framebuffer, sizeof(framebuffer)/4); The DMA Always Fails. The problem is with the STM32Cube generated code. I need to help debugging the Problem. Who can I discuss the problem with?
Hi guys,For those of you that have been on holiday, i hope you had a good time. We're finally back here at the office and i'll try to catch up on support, including this community over the next week. Hopefully i can answer whatever questions or issues you're having.There's a lot to do here at the start of the year, so please bare with me. Thanks!/Martin
Hello, I have just installed both V4.10.0 & V4.12.3 of touchGFX, to try and get either of them to work.I cannot get either version to run a simulation or generate code from first use of the software, and am just setting a simple coloured box and circle on 1 screen to test the software at this point.Have uninstalled and re-installed both. Same problem.I have tried using a PC Simulator application template and STM32F750 Discovery application template, still same problem.I have also tried editing the .touchgfx file PostGenerateCommand line to "PostGenerateCommand": "echo post generate", as suggested in other forum posts.Nothing is working so far.The error I get when pressing simulate is:Run simulator Generate Done Generate assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 The system cannot find the path specified Failed Failed Please can someone help point me in the right direction?Many thanks!
HelloIn the case of F746-DISCO, the resolution is 480 × 272,For example, how to customize when connecting 800x600 LCD?Thank you.
Hello,I want to calculate RAM requirement for one screen with some widgets and images.How can this be done.
The screen has a shorter up / down dimension. Along the right side looking at the screen I have a white stripe from top to bottom. I have the whole screen black. How to remove it.
As per the question. I'm using L8 as the main display LTDC mode for memory reasons but DMA2D only supports this as an input. What is the best workround? Ordinary DMA hits the 64k limit so becomes clunky to useThanks
Hi,I'm trying to build my own graph widget, because the one provided slows down with bigger numbers. Now I want to speed it up by not having lines from one to the next datapoint but simply draw the pixels into the graph. Is this an appropriate approach to speed things up?If so, how do I draw single points on the screen? All I've found are functions like lineTo() which can draw lines. Is there a way to directly write single points to the frameBuffer to speed things up?
I am working with STM32F746NGHx. I am using STM32Cube, System Workbench and TouchGFX Designer.I created en empty project in TouchGFX Designer. I added 2 screens. Each of them has only one button. If you pressed it, you will see the second screen. I am running it on my hardware.I have a problem, because I see some unwanted pixel around buttons. There are single pixels and single line parallel to the button edge. Additionally, during screen switching (after I press the button) I see horizontal lines which looks like interruptions. After switching background looks normal.I am not sure if it is a wrong LTDC configuration. To verify it, I created the image as a bitmap and converted it to the table of pixels in C. Then during the initialization, I manually assign the address of bitmap to frame buffer (variable pLayerCfg.FBStartAdress). The image is displayed correctly.What is wrong? LTDC configuration? Something with TouchGFX which is generating these two screens? I think that there is
Here is the code for the touchgfx i had called the virtual function "data" when screen 1 is entered. Plesae let me know is this was the correct method for UART for printing the received data. If someone had sample code for UART please Post it.***##screen1view.cpp##***#include <gui/screen1_screen/Screen1View.hpp>#include "main.h"#include "stm32f4xx.h"#include "stm32f4xx_hal.h"#include "stm32f4xx_hal_uart.h"#include "stm32f429i_discovery.h"extern UART_HandleTypeDef huart5;void SystemClock_Config(void){ RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0}; /**Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ __HAL_RCC_PWR_CLK_ENABLE(); __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE3); /**Initializes the CPU, AHB and APB busses clocks */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState =
Hello,So i did try to port my project to the STM32H747I-DISCO board, to evaluate if possibleto switch to the new dual core H7 chip.It seems that the DSI driver implements some anti tearing feature, that splits the screen into zones, that subsequently allocate the layer buffers to each zone.Also it seems now is expected that emWin functions to switch layers via GUI_Delay() call that has to be placed, in the GUI task. Without this call just default layer (part of screen) is visible.This is significant change to the way layers were used in older ST examples (for F7 and H7).Has this change been explained somewhere in some Application Note, that i have maybe missed ?Also it seems the LCD driver uses basic 565 and 4444 driver from emWin, instead the full8888 version with alpha. Is this limitation of the DSI hardware (cheap LCD) or to makethe STemWin match the Embedded Wizard demo ? And speaking about the latter, why only binary ?Thank you!K.
I stored all image content from section ExtFlashSection on my sd card, when loading:#define CACHE_SIZE 3000000void touchgfx_init(){ uint16_t dispWidth = 800; uint16_t dispHeight = 480; uint16_t *cache = (uint16_t*)malloc(CACHE_SIZE); HAL& hal = touchgfx_generic_init<STM32H7HAL>(dma, display, tc, dispWidth, dispHeight, cache, CACHE_SIZE, 1000); Bitmap::cacheAll();...}the program crashes in cacheAll() before calling my overwritten blockCopy().Is there a demo for Bitmap::cacheAll()?
I am implementing a Custom keyboard to enter text. Now I want to have a cursor to be displayed at the current locationreposition the cursor by touching the text insert text at that positionI achieved to display a cursor, but the position has to be adapted in relation to the text length which depends on the font width of the characters in the text (I have Calibri, which is not monotype). How can I get the font width of a single character?And how can I insert text at the current position instead of cutting the text after that insert-position? Thank you for any suggestions!
i have interfaced HDMI transmitter(TDA1998)with STM32H743ii LTDC interface to display image ,
Hi,I`m trying to read the SDCard using FatFS and Decode the JPEG file then show on LCD, but I face some problem on it.I reference the JPEG_DecodingUsingFs_DMA in STM32Cube_FW_H7_V1.5.0, and the detail code down below.uint32_t JPEG_Decode_DMA(JPEG_HandleTypeDef *hjpeg, FIL *file, uint32_t DestAddress) { uint32_t i; pFile = file; FrameBufferAddress = DestAddress; /* Read from JPG file and fill input buffers */ for(i = 0; i < NB_INPUT_DATA_BUFFERS; i++) { if(f_read (pFile, Jpeg_IN_BufferTab[i].DataBuffer , CHUNK_SIZE_IN, (UINT*)(&Jpeg_IN_BufferTab[i].DataBufferSize)) == FR_OK) { Jpeg_IN_BufferTab[i].State = JPEG_BUFFER_FULL; } else { Error_Handler(); } } /* Start JPEG decoding with DMA method */ HAL_JPEG_Decode_DMA(hjpeg ,Jpeg_IN_BufferTab[0].DataBuffer ,Jpeg_IN_BufferTab[0].DataBufferSize ,(uint8_t *)FrameBufferAddress ,CHUNK_SIZE_OUT); return 0; }But it can`t show all pixels on the screen only a part of them,like limited by some parameters.Thi
