So I bought STM32769 Discovery Kit and choose the TouchGFX Designer template accordingly and the default color depth is 16 bpp. So far so good, but then I want to examine the feasibility if I choose 8 bpp on this MCU, however the TouchGFX Designer under Config->Display->Color Depth does not allow me to choose other color depth. It seems the only way I can choose other color depth is by not choosing any template, but then I have to create manually the hardware init setting?Anyone could please help me?
I feel doing a project with RTOS in TouchGFX is more complex as i don't have a knowledge in RTOS.Then i chosen makefile as IDE in the cubeMX,And disable FreeRTOS in MX and generate the code. Then With Cube IDE successfully build, but it does not build in cmd terminal using make command and it throw an error (i.e touchgfx->taskentry undefined),and its not showing anything on the screen getting blank screen.
Helloi use stm32f103ve board.I have been trying to realize a project for a few months.but unfortunately I could not move forward at all.I am trying to add lcd library using the Keil program.the operations I have done are as follows:I select my processor from cubemx, define pin and generate code. Then I added lcd.c library to the "Driver / Hal_Driver" section.I specified the path to the .h file from the "options / c-c ++" include paths settings. After compiling it gave the error that the gpio.h file could not be found.I downloaded the gpio.c and .h files from github and added the library to the "Driver / Hal_Driver" section and specified the path.but still doesn't see the gpio.h library.I saved the gpio.c libraries as follows:I went to the project file I created.I say new-text document and paste it.I say save with difference and specify the .c and .h files.tell me where I made the mistake
Hi I'm trying to print the integer by using utoa and wildcard but the numbers are not displayed and the field is blankPlease let me know what can I do
Hi all,I need to read the coordinates from screen when user touch a DynamicGraph. So I enabled the clicklistener mixin and inserted in the code the handleClickEvent(ClickEvent& event), but no events is recognized. What must I do to received the events? If I insert a breakpoint and touch the graph, this never trigger.
Recently, I'm working on a 6-layer PCB design of STM32F746BGT6 and 128Mbit SDRAM with LTDC ( 4.3" LCD 800x480) and so far I connected the FMC bus traces with 12mil clearance (Reduce crosstalk) and 6mil width(50-ohm transmission line). My board Stack-up is 1-signal/power 2-ground 3-signal/power 4-ground 5-signal/power 6-ground and noted that FMC signals are in the 3rd and 5th layers.I also do the length matching for all FMC traces to be 70mm but I'm wondering that maybe routing all the traces in such a small area could cause EMI or signal integrity problems? any suggestions from PCB experts will be appreciated./Milad
I am trying to resolve this pin mapping for the STM32f767 processor, FMC_D9 is connected to SDRAM so PE12. I am planning to use USB OTG so PA10 will be connected to PA10.So, with the above connection, only the pin is left that is PG12. How to resolve the connection for following features, LTDC_B4, FMC_D9, LTDC_B1, USB_OTG_FS_ID.PIN PE12 - LTDC_B4/FMC_D9PIN PA10 - LTDC_B4/LTDC_B1/USB_OTG_FS_IDPIN PG12 - LTDC_B4/LTDC_B1
I want to implement touchgfx graphic on STM32F429ZIT6 with Newhaven ( NHD-5.0-800480TF-ASXN-CTP) 5 inch TFT Display .Display Driver IC is ILI6122.Can you please tell me the steps to implement touchgfx on my custom board?
I've been trying to get anything on the screen for 2 weeks, several hours of coding/trying/reading/watching a day, and still have nada. Other than manually activating backlight after moving backlight enable resistor to GPIO pin. But my primary question for now is the following: I can start the project in CubeIDE with initializing peripherals for my Disco board, but if I don't, there is no way for me to find all the LCD specs for DSI/LTDC.What modes does my screen support? What latencies does it support (CAS latencies and stuff)? What DSI frequency is max? This information is not anywhere to be found. It's not in any datasheets, both MCU and disco's, it's not in any reference manuals, it's impossible to google it out (I spent a good hour trying all possible word combinations and didn't get anything near what I need). So where do I get the specs of the display of STM32F469i disco?
Hi !I am unable to find the workspace project in NUCLEO-G071RB with X-NUCLEO-GFX01M1 which is shown in its original demo. Can you please share the location from where I can find this project.Regards,VK Verma
I was generate the code using TouchGFX in Cube IDE. The code was not build successfully.touchgfx_init();touchgfx_taskEntry(); The above two functions: definition and declaration are defined. But the CubeIDE will show "Undefined reference". I am beginner of STM32Thanks
Hello! I asked this question at recent webinar, but my internet connection was horrible, and I couldn't understand the answer unfortunately. I mostly develop on stm32f1 series mcu's and it would be amazing to have this tool. So, why touchgfx doesn't support them? And will it be supported in the future? I didn't try the touchgfx software myself, because I don't have compatible hardware yet. So maybe I'm wrong and you can make it work with the f1 series. Please can someone cclarify this?
I have a STM32H747I-DISCO board and I'd like to test the TouchGFX on Windows10. I designed a simple application with 2 screens and 2 buttons, and it runs ok on the simulator. But I get an error when exporting to the target. Here is the complete error message:Run Target Generate Done Generate Assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 Converting images Reading ./application.config Done Post Generate touchgfx update_project --project-file=simulator/msvs/Application.vcxproj && touchgfx update_project --project-file=../EWARM/TouchGFX.ewp Done Compile make -f ../gcc/Makefile -j8 Converting images Reading TouchGFX/application.config Linking TouchGFX/build/bin/target.elf Producing additional output formats... target.hex - Combined internal+external hex intflash.elf - Internal flash, elf debug intflash.hex - Internal flash, hex extflash.bin - External flash, binary Done Flash make -f ../gcc/Makefile -j8 flash Converting images Reading TouchGFX/application.
Would you please help pointing chips with exact pinout and specs if any as replacement for:QSPI: MT25QL512ABB8ESF-0SITSDRAM: MT48LC4M32B2B5-6A IT_L TR
Hello everyone! To be honest, I have been struggling for a while with the LCD of my STM32F769I-DISCO in order to display on this one either a picture or a word. The screen stays switched off (or it looks like it). I have already followed many instructions available on the Internet and I still don't find any solution. Do some complete tutorials exist, especially in a video format?I'm using STM32CubeIDE.I truly thank you in advance for your help.Sincerely,
Hello there,I'm currently workimg on a TouchGFX project and I would like see how it looks simulated so I have tried to use the "Run Simulator" command on the Designer. However, I've been having some issues and I could use some help.At first, the compiler complained about being unable to find some personal headers I use in the Model, Presenters and Views, so I added them one by one in the Makefile (simulator/gcc/Makefile) and then, when I tried it again, it snapped and these errors appeared. However, these files are HAL_libraries and they shouldn't be modified so the error must be elsewhere but I'm new progamming and I can't seem to find it.Have I added the paths in the Makefile the wrong way or is there something I'm missing?I tried using the same structure as the rest of the paths in the Makefile but it didn't work.I also tried adding a compiling flag on the #includes I used in Model-Presenter-View but they get ignored and the Simulator compiles them anyway. Any ideas?Thank you so muc
I have problem with the DCMI in STM32H7A3.DCMI FIFO never get filled and the DMA interrupt never start. does any one faced this issue with this new uc?I have Camera system runs on STM32H743 and now we use the new STM32H7A3 but the problem the DCMI FIFO never get filled so the DMA never start the transfer. i have the Vsync and H sync working and the pixel clock too. I wonder if there is informations related to this new uc.
I am new to touchgfx ide and also LCD interface. i am planning to use STM32 with LTDC interface for interfacing TFT lcd. But i am a little confused while selecting the development board. I want to use a screen with a resolution of 800x480. but i can see some boards has that resolution but with a different interface (MIPI DSI). Which processor I can select from the STM32F4xxx series and development board (STM32F4xxx) that can drive LCD (800x480).
These errors arise at my first attempt to compile the generated code from the ioc file before coding any task functions. This is just to check everything is setup correctly before delving into code. Please note this is my first touchGFX app.
Hello,We have almost finished a product using touchgfx. We have 512k internal RAM on our stm32f767.Based on profiling the linker file, 360k of our program .bss goes into internal RAM. Of that 360k .bss, a staggering 320k is only from SwipeContainer pages. We recently tried to increase the number of pages of our SwipeContainer from 5 pages to 32 pages. But this would not fit. (Trying to compile, the application would not link). Now we are using 16 pages and we were able to calculate that every Swipe Container page uses about 20k .bssEvery single page of our 16 pages is the exact same custom container. It is copied 16 times 1-to-1. But with every extra page, there is 20k more internal RAM used. Can you help me please? Is this normal? By decreasing the Wildcard buffer of one of the Text Areas inside of the custom container (where the TextArea is repeated about 16*7 = 112 times) from size 80 to 20, we were able to reduce the .bss size by about 50k! So please any hints on how to reduce this?
I have a STM32H7B3I-DK, and I can create a TouchGFX project with FreeRTOS and it works great.I wanted to research not using an RTOS, so using CubeMX I created a project based on the STM32H7B3I-DK, which includes TouchGFX, but does not have an RTOS. The code looks like some of the comments I've seen, where MX_TouchGFX_Process(); is continually called within a loop. However, the project doesn't build. It gets various errors, such as:"fatal error: texts/TypedTextDatabase.hpp: No such file or directory""fatal error: touchgfx/hal/GPIO.hpp: No such file or directory""fatal error: touchgfx/hal/HAL.hpp: No such file or directory"and maybe about eight more like that.I was assuming that CubeIDE would create a project that builds, so I don't know why it has this issue.
The steps to reproduce this build error:Use TouchGFX Designer to create simple GUI by using the template for STM32F769-DISCO.Build and Run it on target -> OKThen open the .ioc using STM32CubeMX to configure for Virtual Com Port.Use STM32IDE to open the project , build and run -> OKBut when we open the project using TouchGFX designer to edit some GUI, it had build error on target (simulation is ok). Core/Src/main.c:24:10: fatal error: usb_device.h: No such file or directory #include "usb_device.h" ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~ compilation terminated. It compains as it cannot find the file that CubeMX just generated from step 3.Are my steps wrong to cause this? How to resolve this?
Hello, I am working on a Cortex M4 and I'd like to add some power-saving features to my program and figured I'd need to detect user activity. For this reason, I'd like to detect if a user hasn't tapped the touchscreen for x [e.g. 5] seconds, and if so:dim the screen's backlight as much as possible or, better yet, manually set the display to standby and disable touch sensing.clock-down the MCU.if a HW button is pressed, I'd like to wake the display back up again, and increase the clock again.Furthermore, I created a dedicated "charging screen" (basically only an animated battery filling up some bars in a loop) from which I want to go to power-saving mode even when a user touches the screen in order to charge faster. So, my questions are:Where is the `TouchController::sampleTouch(...)` method even called? I haven't found it anywhere in the code...Would the `TouchController` be the best place to put the logic for detecting inactivity? If not, where should I best put this kind of code?Thank
The display is a 296X128 ePaper display with 4 bit grayscale or 16 shades of gray, why didn't the color pallet switch to gray scale?
