Hi, I wanted to know is it possible to use QT designer for GUI instead of TouchGFX.In TouchGFX, I can't use function "setGraphRangeX" for float values. And I wanted to switch to QT since I didn't find any solution for that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,
When I create the project on Touch-GFX and then import the project to the the STM32 Cube IDE , it build fine but when I run the program on the STM32F7508-D board it just becomes a white blank screen. When I click on the reset button it goes back to what it was last programmed to. It looks like it is not writing to the flash or something. Its an issue that is only board specific by the looks of it, since I have tried doing the same on the STM32F769I-DISCO and it works fine ?
Hello everyone!I want to create a TouchGFX project using IAR Workbench. When creating the code with the STM32CubeMX software, I chose EWARM. But when I open the project with IAR workbench, in the workspace there is no gui and generated folder (I want to program in ScreenModel, ScreenPresenter, ScreenView user files in the gui folder). So how to add generated and gui folders to my project, please give me advice! Thanks everyone!
Working on a robotics project that has two cameras, each is interfaced with its own STM32F4 via the DCMI peripherals for streaming VGA (640x480) video from the camera to transmit to a computer via UART and run through a computer vision AI for object detection, all of which is run on each cameras STM32F4 MCU (Has not been completed but is the concept). They are both slaves via I2C to a master STM32F4 which controls everything in the project including many other motors and sensors.I read somewhere that STM32 cortex-m is not the best for working with cameras. My question is, is there disadvantages to using an STM32F4 and if this is true what alternatives are there for camera sensors that talk to a master STM32F4 device? (As the project is 50% complete, we were curious if there could be a better option)
I'm using DSI in video mode +LTDC in Stm32f769IITX to interface with LCD driver "ST7701"and i am facing problems to display an image even i followed the manufacturer initialization sequence. so, i contacted with the the "ST7701" supplier which said that "STM mcu is not compatible with lcd driver "ST7701" ,"NT35510MH" as well.
Hi! I'm using stm32h750-custom board, and I want to show a picture on a 4.3 inch tft lcd with ltdc interface. I'm pretty sure that I adjusted ltdc setting correctly. I used image converter to convert the image (480*272pixels) and I add the exported header and C file to my project. Then I cast it to 16-bit for FBstartAddress. What I can see on the LCD is just a white screen. Why doesn't it work? Could you help me? Thank you in advance. My project test is attached.
Hi,I'm new to stm32 and embedded programming in general. I am currently using the stm32l496ag discovery kit.I began by toying with the designer, using the ready-made configuration for my board. Now I'd like to delve deeper using the STM32CubeMX.Is it possible to "sync" my current project made with the Designer and edit it's existing configurations using STM32CubeMX, In such a way that changes done with the Designer will be reflected in CubeMX and vice versa? how do I do that?Thank you!

I want to understand where does touchgfx creates its frame buffer isn't the internal ram of microcontroller like stm32f746 small? for driving a display with a resolution of 480x272 pixel
I want to use graph drawing 2 line, in the MainView: : handleTickEvent () used in the graph. addDataPoint () to add data respectively?Another requirement, line needs to be separated by some pixels, how to set.:face_with_tears_of_joy:
I recently purchased the display module wanting to get started with embedded GUI, however I was met with not much support on getting the framebuffer onto the display itself. I was wonder if anybody has this working as the display says it's compatible with my nucleohttps://drive.google.com/file/d/1nI3OA-nO9YDDNtU6NOXLNL5GUQSJR_ms/view?usp=sharing
I am using STM32F429-DISCO developer board and I am following this tutorial. I got two buttons for increasing and decreasing an integer counter.I would like to display this variable on screen. I applied all the steps but I got "?" icon when I push the increasing button and I got "??" icon when decreasing the variable. How can I solve this issue ?Any help is appreciated.

Hello,This is a follow-up to my earlier question, to make a 7.2Msps digital oscilloscope using the STM32F429 Discovery board. In the last post, I was able to capture a buffer from the triple interleaved ADCs of the MCU and display the captured waveform using the STemWin library. So as a new part of the project, I'm trying to use the dynamic graph widget of TouchGFX instead of the STemWin.So far here's a summary of the application:initialize all components, including the triple interleaved ADCs, DMA, EXTI, TIM10in the EXTI IRQ: (at this, point the trigger has happened.)mask EXTI copy the current buffer address that is being written by the ADC by reading DMA2_Stream0->NDTRstart TIM10 in interrupt modein the TIM10 IRQ: (at this point, half of the buffer is filled with the data after the trigger event, and half with the data before trigger.)stop ADCsstop TIM10set "End_Of_Capture" flagcheck for the "End_Of_Capture" flag, and if it's set, copy the captured buffer, restart ADCs, add the cap
The Additional Function of PB2 is LCD_VLCD2 in the data sheet, but the same pin is set to VLCD1 in dm00171429-evaluation-board-with-stm32l073vz and CubeMX.Which is correct?I will attach the corresponding image
Is there any possibility to add unavailable pixel format by configuration?(To be recognised also in Designer?)To me, it looks like fixed list of predefined sizes, please excuse me, if I a have missed something.Thank You.Cheerz
Hello,I have moved an .rodata portion of a file onto the QPSI. This happens to be a TouchGFX file that has a lot of rodata. It is FrontendApplicationBase.oWhen I change code else where in my project (unrelated to TGFX or the FrontendApplicationBase), the contents of my QSPI change, why is this?My on board Flash is near full and I would like to offload some rarely changed files without having to flash the QSPI memory with every change I make to any file. I can provide more information if needed.
The immediate problem of no MX_ USART code was solved by the checkbox 'Generate peripheral initialization as separate .c/.h files' (image attached). The code would not generate without this checkbox: Is this a CubeMX bug?The main underlying issue for most of my problems was a combination of incorrect tools and/or project initialization, caused by the combination of HTTP connectivity issues while trying to download software packs, and by the fact that the video tutorial that I used did not contain complete information. At this time I believe the problem was equally mine, but I do not understand why the USART6 MX code would not generate without individual peripheral files....I need to add UART to communicate to F469 Discovery board. Discovery application was generated in TouchGFX. Trying to use STMCubeIDE to add the USART6 as wired to CN12. The MX pinout reports the peripheral is configured correctly (see attached pic), but no USART6 code gets generated. Thank you.
Hello,I had success in creating and debugging a blinky project when created from cube IDE, but not using touchgfx generated project for this boardI am not able to start a debugging session for project created by touchgfx. Things I have tried:1.Explicitly changing to "External loader" from "Debug configuration" corresponding to this boardTo recreate this issue:Create touchgfx project for STM32F7508-DK from touchgfx designer 4.14.0Add simple button or screen and "Generate code"Browse or import autogenerated "STM32CubeIDE" folder and open project in cubeIDEBuild and debug as "STM32 M-Cortex C/C++ Application"Wait till target download and click "Resume"As "Resume" is clicked in debug perspective, after a few seconds the following state is encountered (image) and board stays in blank state forever (LCD white)Environment:Windows 10 x64CubeIDE 1.4.0CubeMX6.0.1TouchGFX 4.14.0MCU PACKAGE FW_F7_V1.15.0Please help on this issueThanks,EshwarConsole log STMicroelectronics ST-LINK GDB server.
Hi ST community, as others in the forum, I'm trying to work with TouchGFX on a display in video mode.I started form the LCD_DSI_VideoMode_SingleBuffer with the purpose to have the Video Mode working on another display (based on st7701s controller). This was easy done. Before trying the new display with TouchGFX, I want to make an intermediate step and have the DSI Video Mode working with TouchGFX with the STM32F469I-DISCO board original display.I'm testing it with this simple screen: I get an image which has pixel rows shifted a few pixels on the right with respect to the previous one. I suspected some sort of LCD synchronization problems, but if I fill the framebuffer with some "for" loops with color values, I get the expected pattern (no skew). This confirms that the LTDC and the DSI Host in video mode seems to be correctly set-up (same setting as same settings as LCD_DSI_VideoMode_SingleBuffer).If I look at the framebuffer with the debugger (memory view), It indeed contains
Hi,I have a problem with running the embedded e-paper display in STM32L0538-DISCO. I can't find any example working on STM32CubeIDE. I have tried to write the code myself but it is quite complicated. So I would like to ask if someone has any simple example, which shows some graphic on the e-paper display and could share it.I will be grateful for all sources.
You guys from ST have made great strides in improving TouchGFX (keep up the great work!) so I don't want this to come across as a negative comment. But I think there are things that could be improved. I think others may have suggestions as well.I thought there was a thread that had a TouchGFX "Wish List" or at least one with known problems. I couldn't find it on here because it's likely months old. Is there a way to make this thread a "sticky" so it stays at the top so others can add review and add to it?Here is one thing I would like improved: ~After adding an item to the canvas, sometimes I want to move this item down in the order on the "Screens" tab/menu at the left. The "Screens" menu doesn't automatically scroll for you when moving that item in the list of items on the screen. I have to move it to the top or bottom, drop it and then pick it up and move it again. It would be nice if the Designer would automatically scroll this.
