Hello everyone,I'm currently developing a project using Touchgfx on a custom board with a STM32F469II and a 1024x600 screen on RGB565 format. I'm also using both an external SDRAM and Flash and the DMA2D is activated.Recently, I've been having an issue where a Hard Fault occurs when performing some screen transitions. The error always happens, as an example, when performing 2 up sliding transition followed by a left of right slide transition. It can also happens randomly when performing any screen transition (including "none" transition) at any time during the process. Disabling DMA2D does not fix the issue. When entering the Hard Fault handler, the fault analyzer gives us the following flags:So, by looking at the flags, I believe that this was a Bus Fault which transformed into a Hard Fault although it does not mention if the data access is precise or not. The address stored in BFAR seems to not have been updated and does not help to locate the fault's origin. The SP register points to
Hello,I'm using STM32H745XI based custom board running at 480MHz.Interfaced SDRAM in 32 bit mode.Using RGB 24 -bit interface to connect to TFT Displays.Setup Emwin in ARGB8888 Mode.Functional memory map is like below.LTDC Configured as Single layer 800x480 Display.Frame buffer in sdram [ Using 2 Buffers in Emwin].Emwin objects data are in AXI RAM at 0x30000000 for 256 KbUsing FreeRTOS so configured stack and heaps in DTCM ram.Placed Vector table and ISR routines in ITCM ram.Configured MPU for 2 Regions.0x30040000 - 64Kb [ Share,No-cache,No-Buffer,MPU_INSTRUCTION_ACCESS_ENABLE,TEX0 ]0xC0000000 - 16Mb [ No-Share,Cache,Buffer,MPU_INSTRUCTION_ACCESS_DISABLE,TEX0 ]Works fine but sometimes it genereates FIFO Underrun error HAL_LTDC_ERROR_FU Error And Program stucks. How to troubleshoot this issue.Do i need to configure any other MPU regions.Any clue will be helpful.Thanks.
I want to create a new project based on STM32H7A3 with an LCD 800 x 480 Picels and TouchGFX user interface. When setting up the project I get an error message on the TouchGFX Generator page which will not dissapear. I don't know, what is wrong with my initialisation. It says that the "Width/height values mus equal LTDC Window values". But they are both equal to 800x480. I even tried the computed values but the error keeps alive. Please see my screen dumps. What is wrong with this? Can anybody help? Thank you for any proposals.
Hello everyone!I'm working on a TouchGFX project on an STM32F429i discovery boardWhen creating project automatically, the default clock source selected in my project is HSE clock source with HCLK frequency of 168Mhz, the program works fine. But when I change the HCLK frequency to 180 Mhz nothing appears on the LCD.What do I need to do next? Please give me some advice! Thanks everyone!
Hi, The data read from Model class thru presenter in screen1View::screen1View() function was error. I debug the code and found the presenter pointer was NULL in constructor function. Is it unsafe to use at constructor and destructor function time ?
I need ModalWindow functionality where clicks outside it are forbidden. In my case my window is a container, how can I prevent clicks outside it?Seems easy but doesn't work for me. I tried make empty boxes and empty containers size of screen and set them untouchable and visible. However I still can click content under them.
Hi,I have a strange TFT flickering issue, and would love to hear your suggestions. The project running on STM32F746 chip, with SDRAM, and LTDC interface. UI is based on TouchGFX & FreeRTOS.Display is 1024X600 RGB (50 pin), based on HX8282 driverhttps://www.newhavendisplay.com/resources_dataFiles/datasheets/LCDs/HX8282-A01.pdfWhen clocking the TFT pixel clock at around 30MHz, I get a constant annoying flickering as shown in video 1, that is probably caused due to low refresh rate. If I'm increasing the clock to around 52MHz, the flickering stops completely (This makes sense because HX8282 datasheet requires frequency of 40.8-67.2MHz). But, when I'm updating the display in this high frequency, I get a different kind of flickering - as seen in video 2. What can cause this problem? Thanks,Roy
Hi, I am referring an example given in TouchGFX_Backend_UI_Communication, is it possible to get the Touchgfx UART Software example for testing purposes.Regards,VK Verma
Hello,I have made a custom board based around the STM32F746IGT6 MCU to run a 800x480 display 7in (4DLCD-70800480). I am using external FLASH (MT25QL128ABA1ESE-0SIT) and external SDRAM (AS4C4M16SA-6TIN). I have ran into two main issues so far:The display seems to be flickering at random times, as shown in the first video below (this does not always happen, which makes me think it could be a layout or hardware issue, as I did assemble the board myself). Do you guys have any guidance as what kind of issue could cause this flickering? Could this be a LTDC issue? Here is the video: https://youtu.be/-qseq_30Y88When running animations, there seems to be some "weird" behavior: wrong colors being displayed, and the animated image shifts a few pixels back and forth. From what I read, this seems to be related to SDRAM. I am only using single buffer, as things actually get much worst in double buffer mode, which tells me that my SDRAM might not be setup properly. However, I did implement the SDRAM
Hi,I have custom board (same stm32H750 devkit but running a 800x480 lcd) running touchgfx. I am getting some flickering on horizontal line in some pages and mentioned in the images attached. What can be the cause for this?
Hello,I was using 4.17.0 and I load 4.18.0. but after compiling and loading project to my board colors are distorted. Some colors are converted to blue, pink, red. It seems color settings are same in Touchgfx designer. How can I solve this problem.
In GUI_Conf.c, allocated the memory size for GUI.And in LCD_Conf.c file, declared the size of display ,configured the flexcolor driver for ILI9341 controller. And aslo implemented the read and write function by using SPI. In order to resolve the Hardfaul handler(), I have changed the Stack and Heap size and also change the memory allocation for GUI. Is there any configuratio n need to be done?
I am currently reviewing touchgfx.Until now, I have written draw functions by myself or used emwin-libray to output images or fonts stored in the serial flash.Using touchgfx, how could I do when I develop similar screen as expressed in the attached document?I've looked at touchgfx exmaples so far, but I don't think there's a similar example like this, so I'm asking you this question.I hope somebody would reply to me.Thanks.Best Regards,Tommy Lim
Hello, I'm trying to get TouchGFX Designer 4.18 running with my H747-DISCO, but the download to the target fails every time. Thats the console output: ST-LINK SN : 0024001E3137511439383538 ST-LINK FW : V3J8M3 Board : STM32H747I-DISCO Voltage : 3.26V SWD freq : 24000 KHz Connect mode: Normal Reset mode : Software reset Device ID : 0x450 Revision ID : Rev V Device name : STM32H7xx Flash size : 2 MBytes Device type : MCU
In my configuration, the tick source for touchGFX is the LTDC vsync interrupt. This was the recommended configuration in STM32CubeMX. However, that means that ThreadX is doing its own thing while model::tick (e.g., TouchGFX) is also running. The ThreadX timer priority is 0, whereas the LTDC priority is 10. Are there potential pitfalls to having a message queue or mutex to share a common resource between the two?The documentation here seems to indicate that what I have described above is the prescribed method. I just want to make sure there are no issues with the two threads being unaware of ech other. https://support.touchgfx.com/4.18/docs/development/ui-development/touchgfx-engine-features/backend-communicationSide question: what user code might go into frontendapplication.cpp?
i am trying to use stmcube IDE (1.8.0), cubemx (6.3.0)and touchgfx (4.18.0) for STM32H743IITX controller but i am getting tons of errors one after the other. Now,My Question is : All of these are compatible with each other? is there any dependencies between Touchgfx and CubeIDE?
Hi,I've just updgraded from TouchGFX 4.17 to 4.18. I'm using STM32Cube IDE 1.6.0.After regenerating the project from TouchGFX 4.18, when I build there is an error:"../TouchGFX/generated/videos/src/keil/Videos.s:1: Error: bad instruction `generated by videoconvert. Please,do not edit!'"Here's the content of TouchGFX\generated\videos\src\keil\Videos.s; Generated by videoconvert. Please, do not edit! AREA ExtFlashSection, DATA, READONLY ENDIf I exclude this file from build, it works though.
I do void Screen1View::updateAsciiInView(char* CwChar){ // add to txtbuffer Unicode::strncpy(textAreaAsciiBuffer, CwChar, 1); textAreaAscii.invalidate();}and that works fine ...my char i s displayed in the first position. But i need to add it to the end so need something likevoid Screen1View::updateAsciiInView(char* CwChar){ get the current textbuffer add to the end of the buffer Unicode::strncpy(textAreaAsciiBuffer, buffer, buffer length); textAreaAscii.invalidate();}But how to do that ...THANKS ;o)Hjalmar
Use TouchGFX designer to run simulator ,but not show simulator result windows.view Log context below, What caused do this? Thanks.
This from a project I've been building color display output blogged here:https://medium.com/@adambillyard/experiments-in-hard-realtime-35136ed79398

Hello there. On my board I've setup DCMI to read some arbitrary data from ADC. I've planed to use JPEG mode to just capture all the raw data from ADC while HSYNC is in LOW state. There is my timing diagram:The thing is I do not get FRAME interrupt nor any data in my destination buffer. The LINE and VSYNC Interrupts got triggered, but FRAME and ERROR or any of the DMA interrupts just never happening. For me it looks like pixclk is just ignored somehow, but is definately there. I've tryed setup DCMI by bare registers or by CUBEide. Is there some common thing I've missed? Initialization code:static void MX_DMA_Init(void) { /* DMA controller clock enable */ __HAL_RCC_DMA1_CLK_ENABLE(); /* DMA interrupt init */ /* DMA1_Stream3_IRQn interrupt configuration */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(DMA1_Stream3_IRQn, 0, 0); HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(DMA1_Stream3_IRQn); } static void MX_DCMI_Init(void) { hdcmi.Instance = DCMI; hdcmi.Init.SynchroMode = DCMI_SYNCHRO_HARDWARE; hdcmi.Init.PCKPo
Hello Everyone,I have Devboard (STM32H750B-DK) and i did some experiments by using touchgfx but now i am trying custom board (with STM32H750XBH6 ) but i don't how i integrate ( Touchgfx, STMCubeIDE & CubeMX) and generate code please guide me.
Please check attached log file.
I am becoming interested in TouchGFX, and I want to know how it performs on STM32L476 for a 2.4" 240x320 touch screen. The chip is already doing some other control tasks, mostly digital I/O and bitbang SPI to control other chips, and 2 UART control interfaces with SCPI commands. The UARTs are on DMA.
