I am using below development toolsMCU: STM32H7B3IIT6IDE: STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.8.0GUI: TouchGFX Version: 4.18.1External RAM: IS45S16800F-7CTLA1When external RAM is activated, the touch part doesn't work. To be sure, I activated external RAM on the development board(STM32H7B3I-DK). I tryed development board(STM32H7B3I-DK) it work with external RAM. But it doesn't work on custom board. Why is the touch part not working? Why does adding RAM affect the touch part?I checked hardware, clock is normal, pins goes true place. I see the RAM has been added. I add below codes my main.c filestatic FMC_SDRAM_CommandTypeDef Command; Command.CommandMode = FMC_SDRAM_CMD_CLK_ENABLE; Command.CommandTarget = FMC_SDRAM_CMD_TARGET_BANK2; Command.AutoRefreshNumber = 1; Command.ModeRegisterDefinition = 0; HAL_SDRAM_SendCommand(&hsdram2, &Command, 0xfff); HAL_Delay(1); Command.CommandMode = FMC_SDRAM_CMD_PALL; HAL_SDRAM_SendCommand(&hsdram2, &Command, 0xf
Hello,i have a swipe container to have the nice animation between "Screens" without scolling some fix containers. The problem i have is that i have multiple flexbuttons (for changing pages when clicked) inside the swipe container. If i try to swipe the screen on top of the flex-buttons it will not work.Means, i need a "free space" where i am able to swipe. Is there any solution or any idea for a workaround? On my smartphone i can also swipe when i start swiping on an icon of an app and don't need to start swipe on the background :)Thanks a lot.
I use some ascii fonts and one chinese unicode font in my project. After I checked "binary font files" in designer v4.13, all fonts are generated as bin files. It is inconvienense to load all fonts at run time, and it even show nothing in simulater. So, are there a way to specify some fonts are generated in c code, some others are in bin format.
Hello. I was wondering if someone tried to do this or if someone has an example of how to do this. What I want to do is take an image from a DM-CAM 130 and display it on the screen while also showing some interface close to it. I've tried adding a dcmi support to a touch gfx project using cube MX but to no avail, the camera interrupts never gets called.I'm using an stm32h747i-DISCOHere's the camera sheet: https://dl.btc.pl/kamami_wa/dm-cam130_um.pdfHeres the example dcmi config that I followed (section 6.3.2 page 60): https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an5020-digital-camera-interface-dcmi-on-stm32-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdfI'm willing to upload my project somewhere if someone dears to take a look :grinning_face_with_sweat: Thanks!
When i generate code through the TouchGFX Designer it always generates the code to run mainly in the cm7 core, but i want ot use this core to do some heavy computation. Any help? Thanks
The circles and shape widgets in my application do not display the correct color on my LCD, they all show as (looks like) pure white. They appear fine when run in the simulator. Box widget colors are fine, as are images and buttons.Any clues on why colors appear fine in the simulator but not on the application LCD?Edit: note this is on TouchGFX version 4.18.0

Hi, Using Non-Memory Mapped Flash for Font Data | TouchGFX DocumentationThe example code cannot found in TouchGFX Designer - 4.18.0.
I'm using software decoding with double buffer strategy, but the decoding takes too long (about 50ms per frame).I tried to change the video frame rate to 10fps, but for a video of size 216x530 with a length of 30 seconds, the video output length is about a minute.I also tried to lower the quality of the video to no avail.1) Would lowering the video format work? and what should I lower it to? (I have VIDEO_DECODE_FORMAT = RGB565) 2) Should I try a different software decoder? (and where can I get it?)Thanks!
Hi ST-Members,my problem is that nothing is happening on my target board if i create a projekt out of an existing example or an demo, except a blank white screen. What i have tried:Flash erase and run the Demo-Project STM32Cube_Demo-STM32H745I-DISCO-V1.0.0_FULL.hex with STM32CubeProgrammer on my Targetboard --> it runsCreating a Demo or an Exampleproject on TouchGFX and click on "Generate Code" --> it runsCreating a Demo or an Exampleproject on TouchGFX and click on "Run Simulator" --> sometimes the error of missing "texts.xlsx" appears, i fixed it with a blank file named "texts.xlsx" in the required folder. Now it runsClick on "Run Target" --> i fixed the error "Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap, Win32 error 0" with rebase via editbin.exe. Now it runs to the End but the screen on target is still whiteafter uploading the data from TouchGFX i have compared the target flash content with the generated "target.hex" --> it has the same contenti had uploaded the other ge
Hi,Seemingly the following TextArea.. widget method misreports when used with 270 degree (and probably 90 degree) text. 0 degree (and probably 180 degree) text is fine: getTextHeight. Also setBaselineY, and TextAreaWith.. setXBaselineY likewise misposition said rotated text. Occurs whether singleline or multiline line text (courtesy wordwrap or \n).The getTextHeight problem seems to be within the TextArea calculateTextHeight method, with getWidth use at the end of the line below. Does this not need to be getHeight for 90 or 270 degree text?int16_t numLines = LCD::getNumLines(textProvider, wideTextAction, typedText.getTextDirection(), typedText.getFont(), getWidth());In general, I suggest all needs a look at, with all four orientations, to check for correct reporting, and correct positioning, and/or the documentation needs caveating to say what's supported for non 0 degree rotations. The company are using a bit of an old TouchGFX, 4.16.0. However nothing in the version history would sugg
We are trying to get touchgfx run on a custom STM32H750XB board. Currently all is run out of SDRAM, and seems to go well but with the characters we hit a problem. With the current test case we want to show text “abcdefghijklmn? on a simple startupscreen. In the HAL layer, STM32H7DMA::setupDataCopy(const BlitOp& blitOp) is called for every character that must be printed. But during debugging we see a strange behavior. The first character 'a' is printed correctly. But the next is not. In setupDataCopy we see that the blitOp.pSrc is set to the start of the font table (so pointing back to char 'a').But blitOp.nSteps and blitOp.nSteps.nLoops are the correct ones for char 'b'.And the strange thing is that all the odd chars are correct and the even chars have this strange behavior. (odd/even as index in the font table)so we get “a#c#e#g#i#j#m#? where the # is the char 'a' printed on the size of the mentioned char. And here the font table that is used.KEEP extern const touchgfx::GlyphNode gl
Hi,I am using touchGFX version 4.16.1setupScreenSAView::setupScreenSAView(){ sliderHigh.setValue((uint16_t)((fanset_h1/2) * 10));}void setupScreenSAView::sliderMovedSAHigh(int value){ //report to presenter and update text presenter->userSetSAFanSpeed();}A hardfault occurs when the above function is executed.ButsetupScreenSAView::setupScreenSAView(){ //sliderHigh.setValue((uint16_t)((fanset_h1/2) * 10));}orvoid setupScreenSAView::sliderMovedSAHigh(int value){ //report to presenter and update text //presenter->userSetSAFanSpeed();}If I comment out sliderHigh.setValue(); or presenter->userSetSAFanSpeed(); the hardFault doesn't happenI have to initialize the Slider and use the presenter as well. How can I solve this problem ?Best regards,
Hi guys, a weird thing happens:) I am using STM32H7 and experience colors changing after every refresh but not for all the components. Please check the idea project preview and results. Any idea?Have played with cache regions, but did not help. I am using 4.18 Touch GFX. Previous version also caused that but not in so many items.
Steps to reproduce issue:Create new project in TouchGFX 4.18.0, set target board H743 eval, add box with border, set border color to red, box color to green, save project, generate code, build and download to board with CubeIDE
I want to rotate 90 degree the screen. How do it? Rotate the screen 90 degrees?
Hello,i am developing a low power application with STM32H7B0VBT6, there is also a 480 * 272 display operated by Touchgfx.My problem is that after waking up from STOP MODE the LTDC peripheral does not restart and the screen stays still.I enclose the part of the code: HAL_SuspendTick(); __HAL_LTDC_DISABLE(&hltdc); __HAL_PWR_CLEAR_FLAG(PWR_CPU_FLAGS); if(__HAL_PWR_GET_FLAG(PWR_FLAG_STOP) == RESET) { HAL_PWREx_EnableFlashPowerDown(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOP2Mode(PWR_MAINREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFI); // exit from stop HAL_PWREx_DisableFlashPowerDown(); } SystemClock_Config(); HAL_ResumeTick(); __HAL_LTDC_ENABLE(&hltdc);
Hi Everyone:Below is my planning function block. Now I have a few questions if you have any idea or experience. Please help to share.Normally, the display module will be operating with the CMOS sensor to show the real-time image. When video signal input, then MCU will turn off the CMOS sensor and enable the SN74AVC32T245(Transceiver) to let the video signal to display module. My question isQ1: When the video signal is input and through the SN74AVC32T245 to the modules. The LTDC pins of the STM32F429 should be in which mode? Q2: Is it possible without any buffer through the STM32F429 DCMI interface to show the real-time image from the CMOS sensor?Simon.
Does anyone know what we are doing wrong? ramDisplayList = RAM_DL; // point to next location ramDisplayList += 0; // Clear 00100110 -------- -------- -----CST (C/S/T define which parameters to clear) FT813memWrite32(ramDisplayList,DL_CLEAR_COLOR_RGB | BLUE ); //0x024B83A0 turquoise (01001011 |10000011 | 10100000 // HAL_Delay(500); //0x02000000 black for sample code FT813memWrite32(DL_CLEAR,0x07 ); ramDisplayList += 4; //DL_CLEAR C,S,T FT813memWrite32(ramDisplayList, (0x26000000 | 0x00000007)); //Orange 0x02D1631A //PURPLE 0x02BDE0E6 //BROWN 0x8E6B51 ramDisplayList += 4; &nbs
I googled this and found nothing, so here it goes.According to the documentation:setTouchable(true) - enables touch events.setTouchable(false) - disables touch events. This however seems to not be the case in my software. I am using TouchGFX 4.18.1 and a template for STM32H750B-DK version 3.0.6.I have made an error pupup window with a box with alpha 0 covering the entire screen in order to lock any touch events behind the popup window. I have wasted too much time in order to accidentaly discover, that the setTouchable() function works opposite to what was intented. So currently I'm using setTouchable(true) to disable touch events, and setTouchable(false) to enable them.Is this a bug with my software, or maybe is this a simulator bug (I haven't tested it on harware yet) or maybe is it actually intended?
Hello everyone.I have never used the STM32W series in any project but I have used nRF52 for our and my BLE projects so many times. It is a great MCU. But we are planning to change the BLE SoC for new projects. So I wonder, is it possible to use STM32W BLE (not sure which exact part number supports it) and TouchGFX together?I have used STM32G0 and TGFX with TFT LCD and I don't think it is impossible to use it with STM32W but I am not sure.Has anyone tried this before?
There is no problem with the build of the M4 core and the M7 core. However, an error appears when you run the download.Does anyone know about this problem?I'm using STM32H747_DISCO.
