Hello everyone,Objective : Send pixel data to LCD module using DSI-HOST on APB command mode. What I can do :+ Read the LCD module's GRAM content ..+ Send basic commands like Turn ON / OFF the Display, Pixels, Sleep IN / OUT ..+ Send long write commands to update some GRAM content.+ Update the whole GRAM content 100 pixels at a time (super slow). The Challenge :- I can't send long write commands with payloads of more than ~350 Bytes (350/3 pixels).- Datasheets of both the MCU and the LCD module clearly mention that payload can be as long as 65536 bytes. But whenever I try to send a payload that's longer than 350 bytes, I get overrun flags and transmission fail until the next payload is loaded to FIFO again.=> Does anyone know why that is ? (350 bytes = OK, more than that is NOK).Context :- MCU : STM32F469- LCD module : OTM8009AThank you
HiI have 10 variables(wildcards) on the screen and 4 pushbuttons(up,down, left, right). I need need to move between them and the chosen number become red. I know how to send variables and flags from the backend to the view through the MVP. my question is how to write the code for moving and changing the color of vars in the screen view?I would appreciate any help. thank you in advance.
I saw that with STemWIN library it was possible but is no longer supported on stm32h7 mcu and also in the ST page is reported to use toucgGFX (and stmCube) tools insted STemWIN.Hou can I add a VNC server module on TouchGFX?
Does the widget set invisible affect the performance?
Slide menu should be expanded from top also with swipe down gesture. Also slide menu contains a slider widget. I am trying to achive this with SwipeContainer and SlideMenu but can't expend the Slide menu
I am currently working with the STM32F769I-Eval Board and I want to use the LTDC only using the internal RAM with a 800*480 display with no internal RAMTo achieve this I want to have the frame buffer defined as L8_RGB888 to have a 800*480= 384kB + LUT, of the RAM dedicated to the frame buffer.I have configured LTDC withDisplay Type RGB888Layer 0 pixel format to L8However, when I try to configure the TouchGFX, Frame buffer pixel format can only be set to RGBA2222 (and variants). This creates a 8bpp LUT with equally distributed colors, i.e, only possible values are 0x00,0x55,0xAA, 0xFF, which kills the purpose of the the LUT.Is it possible to really define a LUT and a frame buffer which uses this LUT? Or in other words, to set the Frame buffer pixel format from TouchGFX to L8_RGB888?I am using:STM32 Cube vesrion 1.8STM32Cube MCU Packed for STM32F7 1.16.2X Cube-touchgfx.4.18.1
Problem Occurrence Process : Create STM32H747-DISCO Project with TouchGFX Designer -> rename Screen1 of TouchGFX Designer to Main -> rename project files in Windows folder window -> Build in STM32CubeIDE -> Run (error occurred)I proceeded in the same order as in the video below.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-mfuzW6S-0If you know how to solve this problem or how to use TouchGFX and STM32CubeIDE together without any problems, I hope anyone can let me know.Thank you for your kindness.Version and Hardware:STM32CubeIDE 1.8.0TouchGFX Designer 4.18.1STM32H747-DISCO
Good morning, kind colleagues. I am working on a project with the STM32F746G-DICO board in the STM32Cube IDE 1.5.1 development environment and the TouchGFX 4.16.0 graphics generator. But when compiling the project there are 3 errors.1. Error: cannot find the specified linker script. Check linker settings in build settings.2. [Makefile: 130: fail-specific-linker-script-missing] Error 2.3. Waiting for unfinished work .....I have not found the problem. If anyone knows what it could be?
Hi,I want to do something like this:1) receive button input from touchGFX2) execute operations to be processed3) switch to the previous screen or a specific screen.I run it as below, but the same screen appears.void bookScreenOperView::operOKFunction(){ //report to presenter and update text presenter->userSetOperOK(); bookScreenOperView::tearDownScreen();}How can I solve this problem ?Best regards,
Hi,I'd like to have a popup in my app, in which the user can press "Confirm" or "Cancel".I'm looking for a way to have my code written like this:popup_res = show_popup(); if(popup_res == true){ /* user clicked on 'confirm'. do something */ } else{ /* user clicked on 'cancel'. do something else*/ }Is there a way to do it?I know that touchgfx is single threaded, so I think that I have to finish the function to refresh the screen. But on the other hand, I know that GUI frameworks such as JavaFX are also single threaded, yet support this behaviour.Thank you
Hi guys,Sorry, i download v 4.18.1 TouchGFX and i see that is not possible to see the example, the board uploaded and so on.. above there is a warning that see.. You Internet connection is out.. but i check it more time.. it is up. Why? Someone have had the same problem? There is something to configure about internet connect in touchGfx Design?I try also with version 4.18.0 and 4.17.0 i see the same warning and i can't acces on selection board setup and examples.. :(I attach the imageThanksEnal
Is there a method that returns the Unicode string of both the Typedtext with wildcards applied? As an example:ypedtext Resource with wildcard is: "My value: <>"Wildcard is currently: 1234the function would return the * unicode char : "My value: 1234".So far it looks like I'd have to build from scratch with TypedText::getTexts() and any wildcard strings.
HelloSTM32F429I-DISC1 FLASH overflowed, how should I fix it?since i encountered this problem`ExtFlashSection' will not fit in region `FLASH'`FLASH' overflow 6934684 bytesI can think of 2 ways: 1. Reduce project size 2. Increase memory with Micro SD Card adapter.I would like some advice on which method to use and how to do it.(I am a beginner)
How can I adjust font kerning in a textArea (or anything else) string?
I have just created a fresh test project based on TouchGFX 4.8.1 but I am seeing graphics corruption during screen transitions. The graphics are otherwise perfect and normally look correct, it's just the 'old' screen becomes corrupt when the 'cover' screen transition is in progress. Also have a video showing the issue here: https://youtu.be/R9Jg1pv2DIw I am using a custom board based on an STM32F411 and a SPI LCD (320x240 with integrated ILI9341 driver). It uses the partial framebuffer strategy (3 blocks x 9600 bytes) due to the processor not having enough RAM for a full frame buffer.I'm pretty sure I can rule out my LCD driver as looking at the pixel data that gets passed into touchgfxDisplayDriverTransmitBlock() it appears the data is already corrupt, possibly an issue with TouchGFX itself?I did see another post where they had what appeared to be the same screen corruption issue but they fixed it using a full framebuffer, which I cannot do unfortunately.Does anyone have an i
Within TouchGFX Generator the Display/Interface selection only allows Custom and Parallel RGB(LTDC) is grayed out. LTDC appears to be enabled correctly? See pics below:How can I select the LTDC Interface? I'm using CubeMX 6.1.0, MCU Package for STM32H7 Series 1.8.0, and TouchGFX 4.15.0Thanks.TouchGFX Generator:LTDC:
I saved font table in norflash and copy to sdram for used.I want to show text “abcdefghijklmn? but it actually shows is “a#c#e#g#i#j#m#?, and the strange thing is that all the odd chars are correct and the even chars have this strange behavior. The text show normal when font table is used in norflash by memory-map mode. What's the problem?
I am trying to locate the location of the source code for the compiled binary for STM32L4R9I-EVAL board. I was wondering if the TouchGFX team can help me with this.https://www.st.com/resource/en/compiled_demos/stm32l4r9i-eval_demo.zipI have already looked in the GitHub folders for this board and there is no mention of the source code there, except for the compiled binary. Thanks,Yogesh
I am wondering if there is a mechanism to transition to a different screen based on the item selected on a scroll list control (Widget) and also pass information regarding the item selected or the index of the scroll list item selected or is there a mechanism to do screen transition from a virtual function handler? Thanks,Yogesh
We have produced lots of touch boards with STM32F769. However, we found that the panel will show abnormal graphics occasionally. Please refer to the images attached. They are wrong color(normally should be blue) and vertical shift. These abnormal phenomena cannot be reproduced by systematical operation. But they do occur occasionally. How can we prevent these phenomena? The board employs external QSPI flash and external SDRAM. The LTDC clock rate is 27.428MHz and the DSI land byte is at 62.5MHz. Panel resolution is 800X480 and rotated by 90 degrees.
Doing some current consumption research.I have a TouchGFX application running on the STM32F469I-DISCO board in portrait mode It is primarily doing just GUI activities, to simulate the GUI screens and transitions, etc. for GUI design and usability evaluation.I have a 72-pixel high status bar at the top of the screen, and the remainder of the screen is the screen-specific stuff. My background does not overlap between the two areas. In my status area, I have a 48x48 pixel icon fading in and out continuously. On my main screen, I have a larger image (240x250px) that is not moving until I press a GUI button on the main screen. Once I do that, using the Move Animator the image starts moving downward until it reaches its bottom point, then repeats the move from the starting position. It does this continuously until I press another button. So, my Joulescope is indicating that my average current is 195mA when only the small image in the status bar is fading in and out, but when I start the image
All others seem to download fine in TouchGFX, but this one gives a 404 error.
