Hi allwhen i try to call the function to add scan response data to my advertising data I get the error 0x0C. I get the error code means that operation is not allowed, but nowhere it tells how to call a function in order to be allowed. I am developing the board using STM32H7R7L8H6H. So in our design we uses multiple interfaces like TFT LCD RGB888, Ethernet(RMII), RS485, Wi-Fi-BLE module, External Flash and PSRAM.So for better signal integrity, can you please provide impedance and length matching guidelines, specially for TFT LCD, Ethernet(RMII), External FLASH and PSRAM.
Hello everyone,I’m working on an STM32F7 project where I’m trying to establish USB communication between my STM32F746 Discovery board and a PC. I am really new at this really first time. I have configured the board for USB_OTG_FS in STM32CubeMX, and I’m trying to use it as a Virtual COM Port (VCP). However, when I connect the board to the PC using the USB_FS port, it’s not being recognized as a COM port or any device at all in the Device Manager.The only time I see a COM port is when I connect the ST-Link USB, which shows up as a Virtual COM Port. I have already:Enabled the USB_DEVICE in STM32CubeMX and selected the CDC class.Generated the code and set up the USB_DEVICE middleware.Tried with different USB cables to rule out a cable issue.Checked the board configuration, and the USB pins are correctly assigned.Additionally, I configured the board to flash an LED to confirm it’s functioning, which works fine. My goal is to transfer files between the app I am currently developing and the
Hello,I’ve recently purchased the STM32U5G9J-DK2 Discovery board and noticed it came with a demo app preloaded with UI, touch input, etc. But I can't seem to find the source code for it anywhere.I checked STM32CubeIDE examples, the STM32U5 firmware package and even TouchGFX Designer, but no luck so far.Also, the examples in STM32CubeIDE don’t seem to have a proper TouchGFX integration for this board and the TouchGFX Designer demos I tried show corrupted graphics on the screen.Having a working sample project would really help right now because I’m not sure how to get the GUI part working without one. Just something that shows how to properly set up TouchGFX on this board, even a basic example would do.If anyone knows where the source code for the original demo is, or has a working TouchGFX example for this board, or at least point me in the right direction, I’d really appreciate it!Thanks in advance!

Hello at everyone,I setup on CUBE Ide on STM32C011 mcu without the configurator TIMER1 and I would to manage it on update interrupt, but I have not the stm32c0xx_it.c file that would contain the irqHandler routines.In this case, how the compiler identifys interrupt handler routine? The name and the associate vector address?Thanks a million.Valter
I have a "NUCLEO-H723ZG" dev board. My current configuration is to power the dev board by 3V3 (CN8 pin 7 or CN11 pin 16), with all jumpers from the "PWR JP2" removed, as according to section "6.4.5 External power supply input from 3V3_EXT (3.3 V)" of the "UM2407 STM32H7 Nucleo-144 boards (MB1364)" document.In that section it says:"When the 3.3 V is provided by a shield board, it is worthy to use the 3V3 (CN8 pin 7 or CN11 pin 16) directly as power input (refer to Table 9 and Figure 4). In this case, programming and debugging features are not available, since the STLINK-V3E is not powered."Is there any way at all to safely program / debug / access the virtual COM port routed though the USB connector when the Nucleo is simultaneously powered by 3V3 (CN8 pin 7 or CN11 pin 16)? In other words, is it safe to have the USB cable attached at the same time as the board is receiving 3V3 power as well?There is a section "6.4.6 Debugging while using VIN or EXT as an external power supply", but it

Hello.. i m programming F446 using registers, and i found from F446 reference manual to configure PA1 as both input and pull-down mode. i don't understand , can anyone advise how could1. MODER &= ~(3<<2) is to set MODER1 as 00 input? 2. PUPDR |= (1<<3); is to set as 10 pull-down mode?? isn't that mean bit 3 set to '1' ?? GPIOA->MODER &= ~(3<<2); // 7.4.1 Bits (3:2) = 0:0 --> PA1 in Input Mode GPIOA->PUPDR |= (1<<3); // 7.4.4 Bits (3:2) = 1:0 --> PA1 is in Pull Down mode }
hii everyone i would like to send an integer number that i get from the user on html webpage to the stm32 controllerlets say in the controller i just want to print the number that received from the webpage what is the method that i need to use in order to receive an integer number from a web page i saw once a method to send a string called CGI but i need to transfer an integer number not a char or a string how can i do this
Hi, Printf debugging is a useful tool for software development and it is also a simple way of providing logging functions using a program like TeraTerm. However using printf with a blocking uart driver is very slow at ordinary baud rates such as 115200. For example a message of 29 characters including a CR and LF takes about 30 ms of uart time and if any floating point vaiables are output the sprintf time can be anywhere from 20 to 150 ms. If you want to debug a loop that runs at 50 Hz with a slack time of 10% the standard blocking printf to uart function is too slow. To get over this problem I wrote a non-blocking dma function called printfdma that takes the string and variables does the formatting and puts the resultant string on a FreeRTOS queue. A seperate lower priority task sends the characters to the uart using dma.Instead of using the Berkley stdio.h for the print f and sprint f functions I used the one developed byEyal Rozenberg <eyalroz1@gmx.com
Hello everyone!I use these tools:MCSDK V6.3.2 CUBEMX V6.14.1KEIL CompilerI am curious about controlling the power consumption of a motor (instead of having set point for the motor's speed, we want to define this set point for power).Is there any CHANCE to somehow implement a power consumption control loop in the firmware? Is there any API?Could we customize and change the firmware's default control loop for speed and modify it in header files and source files of a project to work based on the power consumption?What are your suggestions?I hope you get the idea. Thanks ALL
Hi,Is there any RS485 example code available for STM32G497 ?I referred in community for sample code for enabling RS485, didn't get it.
Objective:Use ethernet cable to talk to MCU.Don't want RTOS, just want to use simple CAT5e cable to link to PC server and can ping and can send some messages to and from server via JSON format messages.I have swept through nearly all available thread from buggy ETH matters collected by Piranha (since ~2019) to 2022 by Adam (https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-create-a-project-for-stm32h7-with-ethernet-and-lwip-stack/ta-p/49308#fn:2)I've tried to follow, but failed, not every thing is true on F767zi.Some experts suggested that ST should automate the IDE in MCU specific settings. Agree.Because all the references to make it works is not well combed for beginner. It is very messy compared to other suppliers.For example, set memory address here and there, enable this disable that... I dont know why, not much explanation, very little cited documents, but somehow the Guru Experts knew it. Amazing. I followed, but no luck.I cannot even ping the nucleo MCU from PC. I saw some who coul

Hello.I am currently conducting FOC (Field-Oriented Control) tests using the Motor Control Workbench with the Nucleo-G431RB board and the IHM08M1 power stage.My target speeds are 300 rpm and 150 rpm.However, when using Hall sensors with motors that have 4 and 8 pole pairs, the measured speed resolution appears to be limited to 6 rpm.Initially, I suspected this limitation was due to the resolution of the Hall sensors.However, even after switching to incremental encoders (1024 PPR and 8192 PPR), the measured speed still increments in 6 rpm steps.Is there any method to enhance the speed measurement resolution in this setup?
I’ve written code that performs a CAN Tx transmission when an interrupt occurs while in STOP2 mode.The transmission request via HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ() succeeds,but the HAL_FDCAN_TxEventFifoCallback(FDCAN_HandleTypeDef *hfdcan, uint32_t TxEventFifoITs) callback is never triggered.The GPIO interrupt callback (HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Rising_Callback) works as expected,and I can see "HAL_CAN_AddTxMessage start" being printed, which means the transmission request was made.However, it seems like the transmission is not actually completed.Why is the Tx event not being triggered? /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2025 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root d
Hi :[VERSION]: MCSDK 6.3.1I have some questions regarding the HSO ADC sampling configuration. I am currently using a custom PCB to validate the HSO algorithm with the STM32G431 chip. ADC1 and ADC2 are used to sample voltage and current separately. The sampling configuration is as follows: ADC1 performs four samples for current U, current W, voltage U, and temperature. ADC2 performs four samples for current V, voltage V, voltage W, and bus voltage. After reading the HSO Start-up document, I noticed that the Ksample delay parameter is affected by the sampling order. I am unsure whether my ADC configuration is correct. If it is correct, my switching frequency is currently 16k. What should the Ksample delay be? Should I modify the ADC1 sampling to current U/V/W/temperature and the ADC2 sampling to voltage U/V/W/bus voltage?
Looking for some input for selecting an lcd for my custom stm32F764 application.Currently I have the LCD that came with the stm32F746G-DISCO board working with my custom board.The "DISCO" lcd is 4.3: capacitive 480x272. I need a 5" resistive LCD. I think I have the resistive aspect figured out, but most of the 5" LCD's are 800x480. 1) I need to verify I will not have a memory issue going with higher res lcd. What is the best way to determine this?2) The controller on the DISCO LCD is an ST7282, Do I need to make sure the 5" LCD I pick uses a similar controller? If not, will I be re-writing a lot of driver code to get it to work?3) should I make sure display has same 40 pin connector with same signals, seems like there is typically a 40 or 50 pin option. (I will most likely have a separate connector for the 4 pin resistive panel) Just need some advice on this as I do not have much experience with using different TFT displays in custom a
I'm developing LoRaWan project using that uses STM32WL5MOC module and the STM32CubeWL MCU Package (STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0). I have B-WL5M-SUBG1 module to develop with.I am seeing that the End Node example does not connect with Chirpstack due to noncompliant DevNonce. It seems I need to patch ST’s CubeWL LoRaWAN End_Node example to make DevNonce persistent across power cycles so that ChirpStack will accept joins).Has anyone else experienced this? Any insights are welcomed.Peter
