I am using STM32G491RE - NUCLEO.Similar to this post - ( https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/reading-data-with-brs-on-fdcan-line/m-p/745625#M266951)I implemented the function of receiving and transmitting data from the FDCAN line.I configured my FDCANs with BRS mode everything works fine, the only change that causes errors is when I switch TxHeader.BitRateSwitch = FDCAN_BRS_OFF to ON. Then the FIFO fill up like the chip is not receiving ACK with just this change.int main(void) { ..... MX_FDCAN2_Init(); FDCAN_Config(); while (1) { while (HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(BTN_GPIO_Port, BTN_Pin) == KEY_PRESSED) { ...... if (HAL_FDCAN_AddMessageToTxFifoQ(&hfdcan2, &TxHeader, TxData) != HAL_OK) { uint32_t psr = hfdcan2.Instance->PSR; Error_Handler(); } HAL_Delay(10); } }} static void MX_FDCAN2_Init(void) { hfdcan2.Instance = FDCAN2; hfdcan2.Init.ClockDivider = FDCAN_CLOCK_DIV1; hfdcan2.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_FD_BRS; hfdcan2.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL;
Hello everyone, I've finished my project with STM32WBA55 and now I'm going to design a small circuit board. I'm using Altium Designer. I can't access the CAD files for Nucleo WBA55. Can you help me? I don't understand if St.com has changed or is no longer available. I need access to the files shown in the image below. CAD in this image
Is this connection real?I don't think so. DCACHE implementation subchapter says:The DCACHE1 is placed on Cortex®-M33 S-AHB bus, and caches only the external RAMmemory region (OCTOSPI, HSPI, and FMC), in the address range [0x6000 0000:0xAFFFFFFF] of the memory map.Indeed, by placing a bus matrix demultiplexing node in front of the DCACHE1, S-AHB busmemory requests addressing SRAM region or peripherals region (respectively in ranges[0x2000 0000:0x3FFF FFFF] and [0x4000 0000:0x5FFF FFFF]) are routed directly to themain AHB bus matrix, and the DCACHE1 is bypassed.whereas the GFXMMU slave port is at 0x2400'0000.JW
Hello STM community, I am working with the STM32N6570-DK Discovery kit and trying to build a pipeline for live camera streaming over Ethernet using NetX Duo, ThreadX and FileX. I am currently using the inbuilt CubeIDE example project Nx_WebServer. My current setup is: STM32N6570-DKAzure RTOS: ThreadX, NetX Duo, FileXEthernet RMII with static IPSD card for web contentHTTP server using NetX DuoGoal: later integrate CSI camera streaming over Ethernet What works: The board gets a static IP successfully.Ethernet link is up.Ping works from PC.SD card is mounted correctly and HTML files are accessible through FileX.HTTP server starts without error. Issue faced: I am unable to move forward toward live camera streaming. There is no reference or example for CSI camera streaming over Ethernet using NetX Duo on STM32N6570.I also faced multiple issues with thread creation order and NetX initialization, which took significant time to debug. My question: Is there any recommended architecture, applicat
HelloI trying to figure out what the maximum frequency is for the TRACECLK stm32u5A9.I found this post for the stm32h5https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/traceclk-freq-in-stm32h5/td-p/604127does the same apply for stm32u5 were can i in that case find this information for stm32u5?Are there any pcb layout guidlines for TRACECKTRACED[3:0]
Hi,I've recently migrated to TouchGFX v4.25. The changelog seems to indicate that we can now store our texts in an unmapped external flash, for example an SPI flash. When going through the following page of the documentation :https://support.touchgfx.com/docs/development/scenarios/fonts-in-unmapped-flash , it only mentions fonts and not the actual texts. Does the same principle apply to texts as well, or is it not possible to store texts in an unmapped SPI external flash ? Or am i not looking at the right documentation ? Best regards,
So i was looking at the 16-bit ADC characterisics in the datasheet of STM32H723ZG. Here it says for LQFP packages, values might differ. I have LQFP 144 , and i can't find any package specific datasheets. Where can i find the information for my package. I was trying to find the maximum adc sampling rate.
Hello forum,I'm designing for my company a very-low-cost parallel (10 tap) programming tool for STM32F4 target. The solution identified is an SBC with an isolated usb hub where 10 STLINK-V3MINIE are installed. Actually we've successfully tested this setup in lab, where 10 instances of STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe (pointing each one to one of the 10 different programmers' SNs) are launched via cmd.exe. Every target board is fixtured to the assembly via a bed-of-nails and my actual difficulty is to connect each nails to STLINK-V3MINIE SWD lines: I can't solder directly the nails to the STDC14 cable since I should use the flat from IDC as pigtail and I don't like the ridiculous AWG and, for various reasons, I don't want to customize the STLINK-V3MINIE soldering, e.g., a female header to card-edge pads connector (as I did for my lab tool). We're considering in using the board-to-board connector with is designed to use with the AVX 009159010061911 which is a board-to-board c
We have a STM32H725 and would like to use the RTC timestamp when entering/exiting standby but from what I understand from the reference manual this is not possible? I did run a quick test and the event doesn't seem to fire even though it works as expected when we power it down externally so it runs only on VBAT.Before I give up and solve it a different way I came here to verify whether it was possible to do so? // Hopeful developer
Hello STM Community,I am working with the STM32 NUCLEO-WL55JC2 board using STM32CubeIDE v1.19, and I am facing an issue with external GPIO usage. What is working:Project creation, build, and flashing work correctly.Debugging and programming via ST-LINK work without issues.Onboard LEDs (LD1, LD2, LD3) blink correctly using GPIO output configuration.Issue description:When I connect an external LED to any GPIO pin (for example PA5, PB5, or other GPIO pins), the LED does not blink, even though:The firmware is flashed successfully. The GPIO pin is configured as GPIO Output (Push-Pull) in CubeMX.The pin is toggled in the code using HAL_GPIO_TogglePin() / HAL_GPIO_WritePin().Key observation:Onboard LEDs blink as expected.External LEDs do not blink on any GPIO pin I tried. The same GPIO toggle logic works for onboard LEDs but not for externally connected LEDs.Hardware setup:External LED connected to GPIO pin through a 220Ω–330Ω resistorLED cathode connected to GNDBoard powered via USBChecks alrea
Good morning,I'm developing a device with these requirements: STM32F446RET6 No internet (NTP) or GPS connection Real-Time clock, set manually (so, the less often a user has to set it, the better) Outdoor -20°C~70°C temperature range (most installations in continental USA) Ideally, we would like to get our total clock drift under 10 minutes/year (20 ppm) if possible. I created one prototype using an Abracon 32.768kHz crystal for the LSE, with two C0G 6pF load capacitors. To test the prototype, I routed the LSE to the MCO1 and measured the clock frequency as we swept the temperature from -20°C to 70°C in our temperature chamber. I measured that and compared the ppm deviation to the expected deviation given by abracon (ppm = (T-25°C)^2 * (-0.035ppm)): Time [wall clock time] Ambient Temperature [°C] measured MCO frequency [kHz] ppm deviation Predicted deviation (per abracon datasheet equation) 10:10 -20.9 32.76681 -36.3 -73.74 10:13 -20.6 32.76672 -39.1 -72.78 10:24 -11.9 32.767
Hi,I'm trying to generate a pulse of a fixed length when my application triggers it, on one of two timer outputs, depending on a boolean value. My problem is that it works only once. The first time I start the timer, I get a nice pulse, but the subsequent times I get nothing. The outputs stay low. My guess is that I need to "re-arm" the pulse generation, but I can't figure out how to do so – or if that is even the issue. My "triggering code" is here. Several code lines are probably unnecessary, but have been added out of pure deperation.void SetShutterState(bool State) { TIM15->CR1 &=~ TIM_CR1_CEN; // Stopping timer. I don't think this is necessary. TIM15->SR = 0; // Clearing status bits. Probably not necessary either. TIM15->CNT = 0; // Setting counter value to 0. Just in case - shouldn't be nevessary. TIM15->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_OPM; // Setting One Pulse Mode. I doubt that this is necessary every time. TIM15->CCER = TIM_CCER_CC2E | TIM_CCER_CC1E; // Enabling timer o
I want to make a GUI with C# that I could choose the STM32 microcontroller and the xxx.elf file and programming it without using STM32CubeProgrammer with USB .With the STM32CubeProgrammer it is look like this: What to look for? where should I begin?I saw that there is an API for STM32CubeProgrammer on C++. is there an option to call C++ program to C#?
<Moved from this thread.>Just to confirm, did anyone else got success by using: for STM32H745, to safely power the uC with just LDO no SMPS ?
Greetings,Kindly, I would like to know which USB interface I can use to transfer data between the STM32L552E-EV and the reComputer J4012.I am working with TEE, and my goal is to send plaintext from the reComputer to the STM32L5 so that it can be encrypted on the device. However, when I send data, I do not receive any response.I have tried using both the USB port and ST-Link, but the result is the same. I can see the ST-Link device on the reComputer, but when I use USB CDC, it is not recognized.Could you explain the proper USB connection and how to set up the communication?
Hi, I'm using a STM32WL5MOC. I see that in the LoRaWAN_Init the LmHandlerJoin is not in a USER CODE section, meaning that it can't be disabled. In my application I would like to do the join upon my request and not in the init. How I can prevent from join? /* USER CODE END LoRaWAN_Init_2 */ LmHandlerJoin(ActivationType, ForceRejoin); if (EventType == TX_ON_TIMER) Thanks.
Hi,Currently I am evaluating HSO [High Sensitivity Observer (Sensorless)] in our custom Inverter board () with B-MOTOR-PMSMA1 motor. But when I start the motor it jerks and giving Over Current SW Fault. Our custom board has following key components.Infineon 6ED2230S12TXUMA1 gate driverMCS1806GS-3-30-Z Current sensor The same inverter board with B-MOTOR-PMSMA1 motor is working for Observer + PLL configuration. I suspect that this board is having current sensor with ± 37.5 A measurement range designed for higher wattage motor giving fluctuation/slow response for B-MOTOR-PMSMA1 motor with 2.8A current rating. Please help me to identify root cause of update project configuration to make it run with B-MOTOR-PMSMA1.Attached following items for your reference.W30_SLIM_EVKMotor_HSO.stwb6 [MC Workbench config file]W30_SLIM_305_3IC_v4.json [HSO Inverter Board Designed File]W30_SLIM_305_3IC_v2.json [PLL Inverter Board Designer File
Hi everyone,I am working on an STM32-based project and occasionally facing an issue where the MCU freezes during normal operation. There’s no hard fault or obvious error, and the issue doesn’t happen consistently, which makes it harder to trace. So far, I have checked:Stack and heap usageWatchdog configurationPower supply stabilityBasic clock and reset settingsThe project runs fine most of the time, but under certain conditions (long uptime or repeated operations), it becomes unresponsive and requires a reset.I wanted to ask the community:What are your go-to steps for debugging intermittent freezes on STM32?Are there specific STM32 tools or registers you usually monitor for this?Any common pitfalls you’ve seen related to low-power modes, interrupts, or RTOS usage?I’m mainly looking for practical debugging tips or real-world experiences that could help narrow this down. Thanks in advance for your help.
HI,I have been evaluating the DAC module of STM32H743IIT6 recently. However, the data provided in the data sheet does not specify the temperature conditions under which it was measured. When I conducted the high-temperature test at 125℃, the measured data exceeded the standards given in the data sheet. Could you please inform me of the temperature range within which the DAC values in the data sheet were measured? Looking forward to your reply!
Hi, I want to set up the Ethernet peripheral of the STM32H743 microcontroller using lwIP, but I’m facing a problem and I can’t get a ping response. I have reviewed some codes, but they don’t fully explain the cause of the issue. Does anyone have experience with this problem and can provide the correct configuration/settings?
Hello Community,I have Several Query Related to STM32F439 Microcontroller SPI 6 Slave DMA Mode,Let me Explain the Scenario , we have Custom Board Build Around STm32F439 micro-Controller and using HAL Stm32V27 Library Version.so we are Communicating with Different Module Via SPI6 Slave Mode using DMA, So as Power on we are Sending Around 9000 bytes of Data from Master to SPI6 Slave Micro Controller in 6 bytes of Frame, so we Observed that whenever MISO line is Coming in Between or Going in Between our Receive Data Lost and SPI went out of Sync as we are using SPI Transmit Receive DMA API for our Communication, Referencing of this Statement i have Attached my Observation and Saelee Logic Analyzer, Capture 1 Fully Working Condition , as you can see Capture 1 Grey Clock , Below one Chip Select, Pink one MOSI Data and Below there is no Moment of MISO Signal and It's working fine but sometime am Getting Capture like this in Capture 2, Grey Clock, Below one Chip Select, Pink one M
Hello Community,I got one Stranger Problem, as i was Debugging one Hang Issue there i Got in user Application we are Storing Application Checksum in Flash Address 0x0801FF0 and Accessing and Reading Back from 0x081FFF00.So in CBIT Test I get Result Pass every time but after 4 hour's Program Counter goes into Hard Fault State and in Stack we got the Issue is Coming from CBIT Function because to Accessing and Reading Back 0x081FFF00 out Bound Address, as we Correct the Address from 0x081FFF00 to 0x0801FF0 so issue got Resolved but my Doubt is why its's took 4 hour's Continuous run of Software to give hard Fault error to access Wrong Address?okay as CBIT we are Calling the Function in Every 3 Minutes , so Based on this Around 80 Execution. so Why Micro Controller took 80 Execution to Give Hard Fault Error ? why we Didn't Get Immediate hard Fault error for Accessing Wrong Address why it's took 80 Execution to give hard Fault error and why always it Consistent with 80 Execution not be
I am using STM32H7A3ZIT6Q board. While debugging I am facing an issue like "No ST-Link server detected" and also sometimes it is giving error as "Error in Lanching, Failed to execute MI command". How to solve this issue and why we are facing this issue?
Hello everyone,I'm experiencing an issue with TouchGFX 4.25.0 on a custom STM32H7-based board that we develop and sell as an OEM product, and I'm hoping someone can help me understand what might be causing it.Problem DescriptionWhen fonts and texts are configured to be stored in the external NOR Flash memory, we observe undesirable visual glitches and artifacts, particularly affecting text rendering. However, when the same fonts and texts are kept in the internal Flash, everything renders correctly without any issues.Current WorkaroundTo avoid the problem, I've modified the linker script to force FontFlashSection and TextFlashSection into internal Flash, while only ExtFlashSection (for images/assets) goes to external NOR Flash: /* TOUCHGFX Begin *********************************/ FontFlashSection : { *(FontFlashSection FontFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALIGN(0x4); } >FLASH TextFlashSection : { *(TextFlashSection TextFlashSection.*) *(.gnu.linkonce.r.*) . = ALI
Hi,Could you please let me know where I can download the 3D CAD model (e.g., STEP/IGES) of the EVSPIN32G4-DUAL evaluation board?Thank you!Best regardsPelino
