So, when I first connect to my USB implementation and send the first 3 bytes to the command/control interface I get 3 zeros. It is not what I sent and interestingly enough I do get the bytes I sent the first time on the next 3 bytes. I have no idea what is causing this behavior and I have verified with a USB sniffer that the zeros are not being sent over the wire. This is very consistent and I have no idea whats happening. Any ideas?

ST(Semiconductor) chip LSM6DSLTR, the website has NOT checked NRND(NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW DESIGNS) notice information, how long is the remaining life cycle of this chip? When is the expected date FOR the manufacturer to notify NRND(NOT RECOMMENDED FOR NEW DESIGNS)?ST official website to check the promise of 10 years of supply, that is to say 10 years after the supply is not guaranteed?

The MCU halts for approximately 300ms after setting the OPTSTART bit in the FLASH_OPTCR register. In HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch() :HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_FLASH_OB_Launch(void) { HAL_StatusTypeDef status;   /* Wait for CRC computation to be completed */ if (FLASH_CRC_WaitForLastOperation((uint32_t)FLASH_TIMEOUT_VALUE, FLASH_BANK_1) != HAL_OK) { status = HAL_ERROR; } #if defined (DUAL_BANK) else if (FLASH_CRC_WaitForLastOperation((uint32_t)FLASH_TIMEOUT_VALUE, FLASH_BANK_2) != HAL_OK) { status = HAL_ERROR; } #endif /* DUAL_BANK */ else { status = HAL_OK; }   if (status == HAL_OK) { /* Set OPTSTRT Bit */ SET_BIT(FLASH->OPTCR, FLASH_OPTCR_OPTSTART);   /* Wait for OB change operation to be completed */ status = FLASH_OB_WaitForLastOperation((uint32_t)FLASH_TIMEOUT_VALUE); }   return status; }I tested this on the STM32H743I-EVAL2 eval board and I didn't find any information in the ST documentation.When OPTSTART bit is set, the embedded Flash memory launch

I'm trying to use this C code#include <stdio.h>     char arr[50]; int var_int; float var_float;   int main (void) { while (1) { var_int++; sprintf (arr,"RES 1 %d",var_int); var_float = var_float + 0.1; sprintf (arr,"RES2 %d %f",var_int,var_float); } }on STM32L476 nucleo kit, with STM32CubeIDE (Version: 1.5.0 Build: 8698_20201117_1050 (UTC)), I'm using debugger, stepping the code and observing variables in expression window, however the code always fails at second sprintf call (the one with float variable). Before trying to execute second sprintf call I can see proper output from first sprintf call, as well as float variable with proper valuebut after second sprintf call I find the MCU executing endless loop after fault. The second sprintf managed to print output up to the floating point part.I started fresh project for this, didn't modify linker file nor any project settings, with exception of ticking "Use float with with printf from newlib-nano"I suppose har

I am working with the STM32H745XIH6 disco board to use HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA and send 3 different strings. But what I receive on the terminal are corrupted data. At least on the 1st send of every string, the string are not shown correctly.Let's say the strings are as follows: uint8_t TX_String[] = "Hello World";uint8_t TX_String1[] = "WholeCallback";uint8_t TX_String2[] = "Half";What I see on the 1st send on the terminal is: a bunch of NULL characters when sending the 1st string. Then if I send the 1st string again, it appears correctly. On sending the 2nd string I get a mixed of 1st and 2nd string. Same happen for 3rd string. It seems that the buffer responsible for DMA transmit is not storing all the characters from my global variable on the 1st go.This is what is seen on the terminal:\0\0\0\0\0\0\0orld Hello wllbackÿÿÿ WholHow can I fix that? #include <gui/model/Model.hpp> #include <gui/model/ModelListener.hpp>   #ifndef SIMULATOR #include "main.h" #include "string.

Hi everyone,I am working on a custom STM32F401 board and came across a strange problem. I have a coin battery connected o Vbat pin of the MCU and using custom bootloader with it. Everything works fine but once I remove the battery (no voltage in Vbat). The bootloader refuse to jump to firmware and get suck. I could not find any evidence that MCU need voltage on Vbat Pin all the time to work properly. Could anyone help me to figure out the issue? I shall be very thankful.

I am using stm32cubeide 1.12.1 version.Debugging was attempted at the start address of the program, 0x08020000. The first download was completed and debugging was normally performed. However, if you press the reset button of stm32cubeide, the timer interrupt without a source continues to operate and is not normally executed. If you change the start address of the program to 0x08000000, everything works normally. Is there any other way to use the reset button of stm32cubeide normally at the start address of a randomly designated program?

Hello,Could you share differences between STM32H745ZIT3 and STM32H755ZIT3? Is it only the security functionalities which are different? Request to share comparison table for same.Regards,Raman

Hi,I want to permanently sample ADC data with an ST32F466. Timing is not important, so the idea is to do that out of the main loop. So my idea is, whenever there is some time and whenever the main-loop reaches the related position in code, it reads out the related data register of the ADC and then uses it. When the ADC is not yet ready - no problem, the main-loop will try later when it reaches that position again. When looking at the example ADC HAL code, this is what has to be done:HAL_ADC_Start(&AdcHandle); HAL_ADC_PollForConversion(&AdcHandle, 10) ; if ((HAL_ADC_GetState(&AdcHandle) & HAL_ADC_STATE_EOC_REG) == HAL_ADC_STATE_EOC_REG) { uhADCxConvertedValue = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&AdcHandle); }Now when looking into the code behind these functions, this is way too complex and time-consuming, even for the relaxed timing of my main-loop.So my question: is there a way to set the ADC into a mode whereit permanently samples data from the related input once it has been initia

Hello dear developers,I am currently working on NFC for the project for my graduation project. First of all, I would like to learn how X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1 works. Therefore, I tried to run the expansion board on the NUCLEO-F401RE and copied the files included in the sample projects run by NUCLEO-L053R8. But I couldn't get the expansion kit to work.I would appreciate if you share with me which files I should upload to which files of the project in X-NUCLEO-NFC06A1. Have a good day & work.Sincerely,

I am trying to develop simple HTTP Web Server using NUCLEO-H745-ZIQ board. The idea is to have file system to store our HTML web pages.Do you have an example code to achieve this ? Or else please suggest us a way to have file system to load our html pages using NUCLEO-H745-ZIQ board.

Hi amazing community.. I am searching a repo for testing the usb reading function (usb host) for my new evaluation board stm32F429disco1 (the new version with display) .I have just found examples for the older version of the evaluation board. Can you provide a link or exact website with this example ? Thanks

Hi, I am trying to create an SMTP client application using LWIP to send/receive emails from my STM32H7 based processor board, I am using smtp_send_mail() to send emails, although this functions returns ERR_OK, i couldn't monitor the emails being sent. Please let me know, is there anything i am missing.

My project is to charge and receive data from a device that has on board energy storage (70F supercap). 300mW of received power is plenty for my application. I thought NFC WLC with iso15693 would be perfect for the job. From ST's NFC WLC webpage:https://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/support/learning/st25-education/nfc-for-wireless-charging.html#stm32trust-overviewI see NFC can charge up to 1 watt with an output power on the ST25R3916 of 1.8W. The webinar on the website demonstrates received power of 0.5W.However, my X-Nucleo-NFC04A1 is only receiving 0.013W on its EH pin with the X-Nucleo-NFC06A1 as the reader. This was measured via a 50 ohm resistor between V_EH and ground. The rest of the board is supplied via 3.3 input, so I assume all of the received power is dissipated in the resistor. My first thought is that the reader isn't outputting 1.8W. I have tried configuring the RF regulator at 0x2C and TX driver at 0x28 to output max power, which should cause the rf regulator to limit cur

Hi all, we have a custom made STM32H7A3 board and have an issue with the TouchGFX screen display: The display flickers heavily with every new screen it should display, after a short time it is stabilized and ok.Components and Setup:STM32H7A3 at 280 MHz (8 MHz crystal)Display with parallel interface, 800x480 pixels,LTDC Clock: 33.33 MHzHyperFlash S26KL512 (64 MB) (set to memory mapped mode), running on OctoSPI1 with 70 MHzHyperRAM (16 MB), running on OctoSPI2 with 70 MHzDouble Buffering enabled, RAM Buffers at 0x70000000 and 0x70200000DMA2D enabled, Color Mode RGB888ICache and DCache currently disabled Versions of TouchGFX 4.21.4 and STMCubeMX 6.8.0. / HAL V. 1.11.0The project is created using CubeMX with - FreeRTOS enabled (CMSIS_V2)- TouchGFX with Application Tick Source: LTDC, ChromART enabledLTDC setup is copied from a running system we constructed 4-5 years ago with a STM32H743 processor and the same LCD panel, so this should be set correctly.Unfortunately the TouchGFX handling of

Hello!I would like to know if it is possible to develop a project in TouchGFX directed to the STM32G0B1RET6 microcontroller.According to the examples/documentation the STM32G0B1 is not supported. Please, could someone help me? Or do you have an example?

I have a project that uses an arrow image in many parts of the UI. Currently the project has 5 different versions of the same image, but in different colours. I have limited flash space and would like to condense the 5 images down to 1 BW_RLE image. Is there a way I can use a BW_RLE image in a project that is set to 16bpp ? I want to be able to use the BW_RLE image and set the foreground and background colours. If this was possible, there are many other images in the project that are flat with 1 colour, I want to be able to change these as well to BW_RLE. They are not basic shapes so they cannot be drawn and an image would have to be used.Edit:There are also images being saved to flash in different orientations. Is there no functionality to mirror images in the X & Y orientations for buttons?I am sorry if I am being ignorant, but I have been given a project that uses TouchGFX and I have never used it before. My task is to condense the project because it is too large for the flash me

Hello,I am trying to set up a CAN Data Frame receive interruption on a STM32F0-DISCOVERY board. The interruption seems to jump for all other IER register elements, but not for the RX. Stopping the processor execution on debug and checking the status of the RX registers, it seems not receive any kind of data, even though there is a source of data frames in the BUS.I have tried also to set up the CAN interface in Loopback mode to test the system alone. The same result is obtained.Has anybody had the same problem? Any idea why the RX registers are not being filled with the bus date? Thanks in advance,

Normally, it's possible to activate LibJPEG in CubeMX to enable software decoding for MJEPG videos in TouchGFX. Is this also possible for STM32U5 (I'm using the STM32U5A9J-DK), as this option doesn't seem to be available in CubeMX?

Hi,I am implementing a product that uses touchgfx and needs to support remote updates. As the downloading of the assets is slow (~30min), the updated assets to be written into external flash must be written while touchgfx is running. I know that other similar questions of writing to external flash in memory mapped mode in this forum get answers of "just dont do that" or "work around that" but I have been unable to find any other viable solution.Currently, my write process is: stop touchgfx task, stop ltdc interrupt, stop dma2d interrupt, wait until dma2d finishes, reinit qspi (exit mem map), write to ext flash, enter mem map, enable ltdc interrupt, enable dma2d interrupt, and finally resume touchgfx task. If touchgfx is idle (i.e. a static screen) touchgfx survives, but if the screen is non static touchgfx stops working and somehow locks out access to the debugger core in the mcu (rtos and other code still runs). Has anyone had any luck in this? And specifically to the touchgfx devs, h

Hi!I am working on a project with stm32h757 and soon we will be switching to stm32h747. i need a way to know (using SW) on which processor i am working with.is there some type of register that holds this info?I saw the 96b UID but as i understad it is a unique number for each processor and not per series. is that true?thank you for your help in advance :)

hey,i am new to stm, recently i was asked to transmit data from uart based on dma instead of using interrupts that uses the cpu resources.are there examples or instruction of how to do it? i am searching for 2 days and cant find somthing usefull.

Hi,I'm trying to get the LIS2HH12 accelerometer to work via SPI. The message I'm sending seems correct to me, and all the timings are within the minimum and maximum specifications that I have found in the datasheet. I have tried multiple SPI configurations without much luck. Below is what I get on the my logic analyzer.I have managed to talk to this exact chip on this board via I2C via bodge wires. The SPI driver I'm using is part of TI-RTOS.
