Hello community, I'm working on a STM32F107VCT6 where I have practically (by means of very basic filtering) shorted on the PCB VDD/VDDA/VREF+/VBAT and VSS/VSSA/VREF-.   I've runned out of pins so I was wondering if there were a way to measure the power supply (without using external ADC channels) which supplies the MCU (VDD) for the purpose of evaluating the upstream power supply conversion (done by a DCDC).   An interesting application here on the forum based on STM32L010F4 using VREFINT_CAL solution could have been perfect if only STM32F107 had this register (which actually don't).   As a desperate attempt I was doing Vsupply=3.3V*Vrefint/Vmeas. Where Vrefint=1.20V from datasheet, Vmeas is Vrefint measured by means of ADC1 "Vrefint Channel". But it seems stupid to me because falls in a circular reference thus the Vsupply will always be calculated as 3.30V... Or maybe not?   Any smarter solutions?   Thanks in advance.

I have over 25 years in embedded design but I am new to ST and ARM cores. I am looking at the STM32 MCU's to replace a 32bit MCU I am already using, the only feature I don't need is the graphics system as we have our own GUI hardware and firmware. I need at least 2M of code, preferably able to move up to 4M when needed without respinning the boards. What dev board and core would you more experienced developers recommend for me to get started with? No special needs except for USB, CAN, UART, SPI, QSPI, and I2C ports to connect all my standard peripheral devices. TIA!Larry Affelt

Hello,For a few months now I have been having issues with writing data to flash memory on the STM32H743ZIT6. Most of the time, everything works great and I am able to read the data from flash successfully, but every now and again, the flash memory gets corrupted somehow and ECC codes are thrown (both single and double), which causes my device to have a bus fault.I am running the flash peripheral / AXI bus at 240Mhz and I have the flash wait states set to 4 WS (5 Flash clock cycles). I have followed all the guidelines related to the HW design and have the correct core capacitance on the VCAP pins. I write 256 bits of data to the flash memory approximately every 10 seconds to save the state of my device (of course I increment the write address after each write so that I'm not writing to the same position every time). When the sector is filled, it is then erased and then I start writing to the start of the sector. I also set the BOR bits to the highest voltage setting to try and prevent b

I use spi1 as the slave to receive data, and if the speed of the spi master is set above 11M, the data received will be misaligned.I would like to know what is the maximum speed supported by the SPI peripheral on the stm32h503rbt6u chip in the slave mode?

I am not able to receive the full string in the RDR resgister. eg. If I am transmitting "hello" I am receiving only "h". How to get a full string? Can anyone please help? uint8_t Temp;  while( !( USART2->ISR & USART_ISR_RXNE ) ) {   Temp = USART2->RDR;  HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LD2_GPIO_Port, LD2_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET);   };

Hello,i have few problems with the new version of Touchgfx 4.221. When using Dynamic Graph every time the code is generated the Base class is broken. This effect was also observed in previous versions. If the Line / Array sequence is changed and restored again and the code is generated again then all is well. 2. On Touchgfx 4.22 I have problem with vertical text version 4.21.4version 4.22Greetings Boyan Panchev

Hi,I am having issue to find a work around this parameter.I do not specifically set any over voltage threshold but it seems to be present there already, so i am guessing that's something hard wired by ST. Is there a way, other than changing manually to change this value? Thanks in advance.

Hello,I am working on integrating SBSFU with the STM32F4 controller. The target controller is F429.I am trying to build an example project. It is a single image slot project which is developed for STM32F413H. I build the SE_Corebin project first and I am getting the following error. ################################################################Core/se_callgate.c:462:25: error: 'SE_FW_IMAGE_COMPLETE' undeclared (first use in this function); did you mean 'SE_FW_HEADER_TOT_LEN'?    if ((se_FwType != SE_FW_IMAGE_COMPLETE) && (se_FwType != SE_FW_IMAGE_PARTIAL))             ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~             SE_FW_HEADER_TOT_LENCore/se_callgate.c:462:64: error: 'SE_FW_IMAGE_PARTIAL' undeclared################################################################I couldn't find these macros. Can anyone help me resolve this?

Hello, for determining the Stack-Utilization I fill it with 0xDADBEEF. If you have recommendations and other ideas, I’d like to know and looking forward to learn from others, how they approach the issues “Stacksize” and “Stackutilization”.Code for the Startup-File: Reset_Handler: /* BEGIN : Seppels StackInit*/ ldr r0, = _End_Min_Stack_Size ldr r1, = _estack ldr r2, =0xDEADBEEF Fill: str r2, [R0], #4 cmp r0, r1 bne Fill /* END : Seppels Stack Init */ Modification of the Linker-Script: /* Highest address of the user mode stack */ _estack = ORIGIN(RAM) + LENGTH(RAM); /* end of "RAM" Ram type memory */ _Min_Heap_Size = 0x2000 ; /* required amount of heap */ _Min_Stack_Size = 0x2000 ; /* required amount of stack */ _End_Min_Stack_Size = _estack - _Min_Stack_Size ; /* Calculate the lower Address for init with the famoes "EB" */ Top of the Stack:Thanks a lot.Best Regards, Seppeltronics

I'm trying to do a program like a baby crying and i'm looking for the code of babycrying program. I need to do a program that detects unwanted noises in cars, so i think that maybe is similar than the babycrying app.I thought it was possible using the expert mode, but now I think it is not possible with it. If someone could help me pls, maybe with some information or the babycrying code I would appreciate it.

Hi, I am having a trouble using MCWorkbench 6.1.1When downloading a project generated from MCWorkbench demo to my B-G431B-ESC1, this happens(the rotor moves for some angle per each second while making a wierd noise. It temporarily stops when I push the start/stop button in the ESC(ESC generates low beep sound))ST-Link FW : V2J41M27Demo : Electronic Speed Control on B-G431B-ESC1 kitI did not modify any .ioc file(cubeMX) or  .cproject Any advice would be helpful.

When I use vl53l5cx_get_target_order, it returns 2.I assume there are only two values (1 & 2). Does 2 = CLOSEST or Strongest?Thanks.Giri

Hi all,I'm new to the STM32 world and ST motor control tools, so I might be missing something obvious.I have the B-G431B-ESC1 development board connected to a BLDC motor.I generated the code for FOC with the MC-WB 6.1.2 and STCubeMX 6.8.1. Compiled with STM32CubeIDE 1.12.1. Connecting to the board and upload worked well. I can connect with the Motor Pilot 1.1.12 to the board. The board generates a repeated beeping noise with 1 Hz frequency. Is that normal? When I try to accelerate the motor via the GUI, the board initially responds but aborts. It sounds like the "beeping" generator is still active. To test, I set the duration of the first phase to 10 seconds in the Rev-UP dialog and reduce the torque. This generates the current profile shown below. The current follows the reference value most of the time, but is periodically disturbed. This disturbance follows the rythm of the beeping. If I set the reference current higher (to generate enough torque to turn the motor), the controller tri

When i refer the source code of the B-G431B-ESC1 board, i do not see the code check for series resistance, inductance of the motor. Is the source code independent of the series and inductance of the motor? For example/***************** MOTOR ELECTRICAL PARAMETERS ******************************/#define RS           0.35 /* Stator resistance , ohm*/#define LS           0.0006 /* Stator inductance, HBut i do not see these parameters used anywhere in the program. Is my understanding correct?

but i am not able to read the data in slave module, how to connect this with the host and camera module processor and read the data, is there any settings have to be mentioned.? if any one information about this it will be helpful.

I am encountering a strange problem on the VL53L5CX sensor. Here is the rundown of my setup:3 sensorseach gets initialised and new i2c address is set so they can run simultaneouslyturn all sensors on and wait for external inputThe external input is simply an interrupt from a pin (yes I do block interrupt calls while this process is running so theres no overlap). Upon this interrupt being fired the following occurs:Each sensor sent the start_ranging() commandeach sensor takes 10 measurements (this is done by looping over each sensor and calling the check_ranging_data() command and then get_ranging_data() )after 10 measurements each sensor is sent the stop_ranging() commandThis is where the problem occurs, the first 2 sensors have no problem stopping, then the final sensor seems to timeout during this function call and returns an error 49 (decimal). What would cause the stop_ranging() command to fail? How does it even fail? How is it more complicated than to just stop all ranging process

Hi, I'm using the UART on a STM32G071 MCU. To read data  get  an interrupt when the FIFO reach the FIFO reaches the  threshold of 1/2.Inside the interrupt routine I check if there are uart errors. If I get some errors I want to discard data received. Before quit from the interrupt routine I want to empty the FIFO reading all  the bytes received. I didn't find any bit on UART registers that indicate that FIFO si completely empty. Can you help me? Is there any other way to get the FIFO empty?

Is there a Motor profiler API or any other tool that I can use to retrieve the error status from the ST Motor pilot programmatically? I'm interested in obtaining informations about the following errors:If it's not available, I would appreciate any alternative recommendations or approaches to achieve this functionality within a code-based context.

Hello! Recently I have been working on ADC, where I connect a potentiometer to a bread board and by using jumper wires I  connect it with ARM Cortex M4, STM32G491. Thankfully I have received the outputs too. But the challenge is, I have to include timer along with the voltage output. I did watch many tutorials available on internet, added few codes in it. The moment I run my code, It just shows the voltage reading not the timer reading. The code shows 0 error, I was wondering where I have mistaken, I was hoping if somebody  could help me out with this challenge. I hereby attach my code in text form. Thank you :)

I'm working on my end-of-degree project using an STM32F407 Discovery board. I have been working with it the last couple of months with no problems, doing the pin configuration with STM32CubeMX and developing the program in ARM Keil uVision 5.Yesterday, while doing some debugging the board stopped being recognized by the program. When trying to load any program Keil says "No ST-LINK detected", 30 seconds before it worked perfectly. After looking on the internet this is what I have been able to find. The microcontroller part of the board seems to work correctly, being able to run the last program I loaded. This includes among other things an LCD display, using the micro USB as a COM PORT and reading an ADC showing the reading on both the LCD and the COM PORT. This makes me believe that the problem must with the ST-LINK, while the microcontroller is working correctly and the board is properly powered and voltages at all the pins are ok.Other than that the board shows LEDs LD2 and LD8 lighte

Hello,I am familiarizing myself with the SPI controller on a NUCLEO-F303K8 development board using the CMSIS device headers. I have written a program to send and receive a single byte using polling or interrupts. While functionally it appears correct, I am a bit confused on the timing diagrams generated by my logic analyzer.Overall configuration: System clock is HSI at 8MHz. SPI clock has default prescaler of 2, so 4MHz.The above is the result for a polling transaction.Interval 0: SPI enable to CS low, 6 cycles - makes senseInterval 1: CS low to shift register filled with tx data, 3 cycles (1 CPU cycle to store, 1 SPI cycle to put it on the line?)Interval 2: Shift register filled with tx data to transaction start, 3 cycles - not sure what happens hereInterval 3: The transaction, 16 CPU/8 SPI cycles - makes senseInterval 5 (manually added): Reading the shift register and setting CS low - should be 4 cycles (marked it wrong in diagram)As the SPI is configured with CPOL = CPHA = 0, I woul

Hi, I found a post by Renesas, about using Azure rtos, where it is possible to use the HUB class for USB Host. Can any problem already known to the internal PHY also occur in the external PHY? Is the external PHY able to be used with USB HUB?Using HubWhen the user uses the following device class, the user can use USB Hub.Host Communication Device Class (HCDC)Host Human Interface Device Class (HHID)Host Mass Storage Class (HMSC)Host Printer Class (HPRN)Also be sure to set the pipe number to the following items. I attempt to use the ST example code 'UART_TwoBoards_ComPolling' that comes with the STM32CubeF1 library. (All ST examples are very helpful, thank you.)Development environment used:* Library: STM32Cube_FW_F1_V1.8.5.* Hardware: two NUVLEO-F103RB boards (one for UART1_TX, one for UART1_RX).* IDE: STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.12.1.The example code is built two times, both for the TX Nucleo and for the RX Nucleo. That means, the UART1 peripherals on both boards are configured the same.Problem:The UART1_TX function does not seem to work in the function HAL_UART_Transmit():/*##-2- Start the transmission process ######### */ if(HAL_UART_Transmit(&UartHandle, (uint8_t*)aTxBuffer, TXBUFFERSIZE, 5000)!= HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); }In particular, the IDE debugger shows that the UART data register (DR) does not change during the following char assignment, as the DR value is always shown as 0. See the Debugger screenshot at the bottom.else { huart->Instance->DR = (uint8_t)(*pdata8bits &amp
