Hi,I'm working with a STM32G491KEU (512KB Flash).I use a custom bootloader so the startup in the printsreen is from the application. The MCU will first start in the custom bootloader and then it should change to the application. It reaches the startup_stm32g491keux.s and should branch to the mainApp with Address 0x800fcdc. The program counter is at 0x80131e2. And then it happens and it jumps wrong. Is that jump too long for "bl"? My answer: branch can work with MB ranges should not be an issue for the 512KB.Todays UpdateThere is something strange happening. If I have only an empty main (the same project) I get a very different disassembly. For me it looks like one is in thumb mode and the other one is ARM assembler.Any ideas?

I am unable to configure TCPP03-M20 USB power controller chip available on B-U585I-IOT02A board.Supposedly, unlike most other boards, this board should be able to provide power to a device over USB-C connector. However, I found no examples of how to properly configure TCPP03-M20 chip. I am able to communicate with it over I2C, but when I try to activate "Gate Driver Provider" (power source) and "Normal" power mode according to DS13618 section "6.3.1 I2C registers" (p.11) by setting config register to 0x14, it just does not happen and "Gate Driver Consumer" (power sink) gets activated instead.Could anybody help? I am clueless. HAL_GPIO_WritePin(UCPD_PWR_GPIO_Port, UCPD_PWR_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); // enable TCPP03-M20 chip (U8) uint8_t data[2] = {0}; data[0] = 0x10; // Mode: normal power, Gate Driver: off, VCONN: both off status = HAL_I2C_Mem_Write(&hi2c2, 0x34 << 1, (uint16_t)0, I2C_MEMADD_SIZE_8BIT, data, 1, 100); status = HAL_I2C_Mem_Read(&hi2c2,

Hello,I have found informations about Unicleo-GUI, and I would like to test it. There are many informations on ST page, but I could not find any link to download it.So where can I download it?Thank you

I am working on register level programming, and I have gone thoroughly the reference manual it just contains about the features of the peripherals and registers and something about its working so how can I program if it does not contain the procedure for initializing and setting up the peripherals for usage if it is present tell me which document contains it so it will be very helpful.

How a read memory command over RF works? I use the NFC Tap App and use the Read Memory command, where i can select Start Block ande Number of itmes. On the otherside i have a ST25DV64KC Tag.The question is, do the read use the mailbox or it is possible to read directly the memory? If the mailbox is used, how the transfer from the memory works.

Hello, I cannot make the LIS2DU12 working in the Sensor.Tile module. I followed the instruction in the AN5648 but I get random values for X, Y, Z. At first, I'm trying to get the readings in normal continuous mode without FIFO. I can connect the device, WHO_AM_I returns the correct 69 value, I read X, y, & Z registers when the DRDY bit is set but these values are not correct.... In attach my configureLIS2DU12 and getLIS2DU12 functions and the X, Y, & Z values I get via serial Thanks, J.

I'm trying to setup a project with STM32CubeIDE 1.8 (includes CubeMX 6.4) that uses LPUART1 on a STM32L031K6. I want to lower the CPU frequency to 4MHz, and, to reduce power, I'm using HSI/4 as clock input.LPUART baudrate is set wrong (4 times higher than expected according to logic analyzer), it's generated out of PCLK1 frequency that is assigned as HSI_VALUE >> 2. While HSI_VALUE is defined in stm32l0xx_ll_rcc.h:#define HSI_VALUE (16000000U)But, during debug I realize that HSI_VALUE value is 4000000, it is redefined as a compiler directive:-mcpu=cortex-m0plus -std=gnu11 -g3 -DDEBUG -DSTM32L031xx -DUSE_FULL_LL_DRIVER -DHSE_VALUE=8000000 -DHSE_STARTUP_TIMEOUT=100 -DLSE_STARTUP_TIMEOUT=5000 -DLSE_VALUE=32768 -DMSI_VALUE=2097000 -DLSI_VALUE=37000 -DVDD_VALUE=3300 -DPREFETCH_ENABLE=0 -DINSTRUCTION_CACHE_ENABLE=1 -DDATA_CACHE_ENABLE=1 -DHSI_VALUE=4000000 -c -I../Core/Inc -I../Drivers/STM32L0xx_HAL_Driver/Inc -I../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32L0xx/Include -I../Drivers/CMSIS/Include -O

STM should really post their code to handle FPU context saving and restoring BECAUSE their clients have been asking for over a decade!!!One user stated "the time for a full FPU state save/restore is quite long. A pair of vpush {s0-31}/vpop {s0-s31} takes around 400ns on my STM32F407 @ 168MHz."Without this our code suffers floats sticking at nan0x400 status after IRQs.So, STM staff, come on, show us the best routine you have to save and restore the FPU status, because the Lazy FPU feature is useless!!

Hello everyoneCan I also add an svg image to a button? I can embed images in svg format (almost) without any problems. However, if I want to assign an image to a flex button, only png works. Is there a workaround for this or does it just not work?Regards, Roger

Hello,I have a project where I use both HAL and LL functions, on different files, for different funcitions. As described in UM2319, I defined both USE_HAL_DRIVER and USE_FULL_LL_DRIVER as compiler preprocessor symbols. In this case I have an error indicating that the stm32_assert.c file is absent.UM2319 says the stm32_assert.c file must be added only if I use LL drivers in stand-alone mode, but in my case I use both HAL and LL functions.I see that stm32_assert.c defines the assert_param() function, that is also defined in the stm32g0xx_hal_conf.h.In my case, can it create a redefinition conflict, when building? Moreover, if I try to omit USE_FULL_LL_DRIVER preprocessor symbol, the build is successful. My be this depend on the fact that, at the moment, I am using only few LL functions (the CRC ones)?Thank you,Carlo

Among STM32 boards, I would like to recommend a board that includes an interrupt 2 or more pins, I/O (Analog) 20 or more pins, MCLR (reset), PWM signal (more than 2 pins), AVdd, AVss, Vss, RX, TX, ICDCLK, and ICDDATA pins. This is the first board I'm entering, so I'm asking you a question while studying.

I have the problem on my STM32H753, that the IDLE-bit is set when transmitting. On the manual it says: The IDLE bit is not set again until the RXFNE bit has been set (i.e. a new idle line occurs). The RXFNE is never set (actually on CubeIDE this is shown as RXNE), because I do not receive anything. Also the RDR stays empty. And with logic analyzer I see that the RX-pin stays high the whole time. I also did not find anything on errata which could explain this. Any suggestions what it could be?

I'm using the UART (USART5) with RS485 and I have enabled the read to be on also when sending. I need to read back the data that was sent to see if it is correct. The problem is, that I do not receive what was sent. But if I send the same data from other device (without changing any code), I will receive the data. So the receive works, but not the same time with sending.Initialization - FIFO is also enabled. BaudRate = PARALLEL_BAUD_RATE; DataWidth = LL_USART_DATAWIDTH_8B; Parity = LL_USART_PARITY_NONE; StopBits = LL_USART_STOPBITS_1; HardwareFlowControl = LL_USART_HWCONTROL_NONE; OverSampling = LL_USART_OVERSAMPLING_16; PrescalerValue = LL_USART_PRESCALER_DIV1; TransferDirection = LL_USART_DIRECTION_TX_RX; And data sending is done with LL_USART_TransmitData8. The half-duplex is not enabled. What could block the receive when sending?

Hi everyone, I have a problem with placing data in RAM from DMA with H7. I have a custom bootloader that then jumps to the application that uses ADC, + DMA, TIM + DMA etc.. I ran the classic __attribute__((section(".D1buffer"),used)) and modified it on the .ld by adding its section, although with the latest ld files it is not needed. This happens: When I compile the project without including the bootloader everything works perfectly, but when I include the bootloader, after the jump the DMA stops working.Do I need to do any realignment or setup before jumping? On the bootloader side I run this before jumping and clear every interrupt and blank everything:voidapplicationJump(void){ typedef void(*pFunction)(void); volatile uint32_t BootAddr=BOOT_APP_ADDR; uint32_t JumpAddress=*(__IO uint32_t*)(BootAddr+4); pFunction JumpToApplication=(pFunction)JumpAddress; HAL_MPU_Disable(); HAL_SuspendTick(); __HAL_RCC_AHB1_FORCE_RESET(); __HAL_RCC_AHB1_RELEASE_RESET(); __HAL_RCC_AHB2_FORCE_RESET(); __HA

Hi Community,I'm porting STM32G071 SBSFU to STM32G0B1RE and Customizing UART to USB CDC.I'm using Nucleo-G0B1RE dev kit and STMCubeIde for development.1. I'm able to build, load, run both STM32G071 SBSFU and UserApp without any changes. but when I change project global symbol STM32G071xx to STM32B1xx in properties->Settings->Preprocessor->Define Symbols. The have made appropriate changes after loading USERApp causes hard fault and resetting device.2. Also tried changing sbsfu and fwimg .ld files for rom and ram address with/without changing define symbols above mentioned also had similar issue. Now I am stuck without knowing what needs to change and how to port the code to STM32G0B1 ?Can you please help with require changes to port from STM32G071 to STM32G0B1 ? TIA,Tarun

Hello,I have a problem with a clock configuration on my STM32F072C8T6. I need the 48MHz clock (HSI48) for the onboard USB communication. I have enabled this via ioc in the clock configuration. Everything looks fine there and no conflict is reported. Now as soon as I load my program on the STM32, the debug connection breaks as soon as the following line is executed (in the automatically generated SystemClock_Config function --> see attachment) :__HAL_RCC_HSI48_ENABLE(); (in the stm32f0xx_hal_rcc.c file)I see that this line only writes the CR2 register with the following command:RCC->CR2 |= RCC_CR2_HSI48ON;Unfortunately I can't see which error handler the STM32 goes into, because the debug connection breaks. I have also tried to increase the FLASH latency with the following line, unfortunately without success:FLASH->ACR |= 0x1;If I run the program with the 8MHz everything works without problems.Am I missing something? Can someone help me? Thanks a lot!

Is there a way to read an environment variable from the PC (I'm running on a Windows box) and pass that value somehow (maybe via a temporarily created define for the command line) such that a file being compiled can use the value of that environment variable? For example, can the name of the person who's doing the build be used to initialize a string value that can then be embedded into the app? Thanks!

Hi everyone,I recently build a custom PCB with a stm32f405, but every time I try to connect to it with a stlink v2 it gives an error. Target no device foundError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: No device found on target. I already managed to program a stm32 blue pill with the stlink, so I am starting to think the problem lies in my PCB.Thanks in advance.

Using Application Note AN5361 and a Online ST Video. I have create a project in STM32CubeIDE for the STM32H747I-Disco Board. As a test of the debugging, I have have both cores simply blinking separate LEDs.I set up the CM7 debug configuration  per AN5361 and did not check "Halt all cores" on Reset.  Debugging with the CM7 project, runs the application on the board without issue. I am able to set a break point in the CM7's main.c and step through the code. If I set a break point in CM4's main.c, nothing happens. The CM4 is not loaded in the debugger at all. The online video made the suggestion to check "Halt all cores" on Reset ion the CM7's debug configuration. I created a Launch Group to start debug both projects. Starting debug starts up both projects as expected. The debugger stops at the CM7 main break point. Click continue, and the debugger stops at the CM4 main break point at the line for:__HAL_RCC_HSEM_CLK_ENABLE(); If I click continue, the program

Hi!    I have working on the watch Dog implementation in STM32F446RET6.The board which I have used is NUCLEO-F446RET6.I have followed the below mentioned steps,      1. Enabled the IWDG in system core using CubeMX of STM32CubeIDE. (which takes the LSI frequency for the IWDG as 32KHz in Clock Configuration.)      2. In Parameters settings of IWDG, Set the Pre-scalar divider as 256 and the down counter reload value as 4095 which are the maximum values to produce the time out of 32.768 seconds as per the reference manual.     I have theoretically calculated the duration using the formula,                                        IWDG_Time= [(Reload Value+1)*(Pre-scalar value)]/ LSI frequency    &

Hi,I am working on project using ZephyrOS and I am trying to link in and use some of your motion libraries.I have successfully linked but the call to MotionAC_GetLibVersion() is returning zero. Looking at assember in my debugger a variable is being tested at the start of that routine "licenses_ok". This leads to the call exiting. What must I do to use the library? Are any license files necessary; I thought the libs were free to be used if you are using ST chipsets?Regards,Owain

Hi, I'm trying to find adress space for not memory mapped 16MB NOR.I have external PSRAM IS66WVE4M16EBLL + NOR MT28EW128ABA1LPC-0SIT with STM32H753ZIT6. They are both on the same bus:FMC: NOR 0x60000000,PSRAM 0x68000000. Not using MPU. I use raw addresses of PSRAM as memory mapped, and HAL functions to transfer data to NOR. I tested memory integrity, R/W - all fine.So far I had TouchGFX running with internal FLASH for graphics + doublebuffers in external PSRAM - it was working fine with stable 32 FPS @ 480 x 272px RGB565.Now I want to use external FLASH for storing graphics. Seems it is not memory mapped so I started with this article and to cache most of graphics to external PSRAM and faced this section:"In this example we will put the image data in the ExtFlashSection at address 0x24000000. You can select any address that is otherwise unused (not part of the code or data address space)."I grab 288k of RAM_D2 to test (0x30000000) as unused address space. Then

Hey all,I’ve recently encountered an issue with setting up the CAN module on my STM32F4 and hope that someone is able to help me:After buying the SN65HVD230 CAN Board, I tried to set up the MCU so it can communicate with the CAN Bus. For that I soldered cables to IO 1 and 2 on my Dev Board and changed their setup in the STM32MX configurator. I was able to detect signals going in and out on the Tx and Rx line as well as on CANH and CANL. So there should be no problem with the wiring. My problem is with the configuration of the CAN message itself. The message doesn’t seem to be able to be configured, meaning that any way I try, it doesn’t change the message that actually gets transmitted. For example the ID is always set to 0x7FE or the TxHeader.DLC parameter is always set to 3.I was able to narrow the problem down to the CAN register. The necessary code meant to write into the registers doesn't seem to alter the data int the register at all. While in debug mode I went step by step throug

Greetings,I'm having trouble porting the existing CubeMX configuration to a pinout compatible MCU.I'm using STM32H745IIK6 and trying to change it to STM32H755IIK6 following the instructions on page 287. of UM1718 Rev 34 ("Tutorial 5: Exporting current project configuration to a compatible MCU"). But, when I select the MCU and click "OK, Import", I get the following error:The existing CubeMX configuration loads fine and I can modify and save things, but when I try to do this MCU change, that error occurs. Is there any fix to this, since it would be pretty annoying to have to manually copy everyting from the existing CubeMX configuration?I'm using version 6.2.1.BR,Domagoj
