This is a portion of my product code, but i got some problem. When an external interrupt occurs i want to start a timer and increment one variable and when timer reaches 30 seconds i want to display the variable via UART. I will provide my code.when i give the external interrupt my timer is working for 30 seconds but the variable is not getting incremented and displaying variable = 1 after 30 seconds via uart. /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */uint8_t ex_interrupt = 0;uint32_t variable = 0;uint32_t seconds = 0;uint8_t uartBuffer[50];/* USER CODE END PV */ /* Initialize all configured peripherals */MX_GPIO_Init();MX_USART2_UART_Init();MX_TIM3_Init();/* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ /* USER CODE END 2 */ /* Infinite loop *//* USER CODE BEGIN WHILE */while (1){if(ex_interrupt == 1){ex_interrupt = 0;if (HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3) != HAL_OK){/* Starting Error */Error_Handler();}variable = variable + 1;}if(seconds == 30){HAL_TIM_Base_Stop_IT(&htim3);sprintf((char *)uartBuffer, "V

Hello,I'm using a STM32H725 microcontroller.I'm able to connect and flash the microcontroller with STM32CubeIde and with STM32_Programmer_CLI.exe, using ST-LINK dongle. When I try to connect the microcontroller with ST-LINK Utility on windows, it always says "Can not connect to the target!" and "Unexpected Error". I tried all possible setting combinations but still i'm not able to connect. It looks quite strange to me as I'm using the same hardware, but I'm not finding any solutions.I specify that I'm perfectly able to connect other microcontrollers (F015, F427) with ST-LINK Utility using the same ST-LINK dongle.Any ideas?

I found some minor issues when generating a new skeleton project for STM32F429ZITx - Nucleo-F429ZI + LwIP1: If you enable multicast + IPv6 protocol:heth.Instance->MACPFR |= ETH_MACPFR_PM;instead of heth.Instance->MACFFR |= ETH_MACFFR_PM; /* notice the double F inside MACFFR */2: The entire interface is taken up/down together with linkup/linkdown. In LwIP 2.x this is wrong. The interface should always be up, else DHCP will assert during init and never recover.ethernet_link_check_state() should NOT contain netif_set_down(netif); and netif_set_up(netif);. Instead there should be a single netif_set_up(&gnetif); in MX_LWIP_Init() after netif_add(&gnetif, &ipaddr, &netmask, &gw, NULL, &ethernetif_init, &ethernet_input);3: The configuration causes some few printf() calls to be generated, but the skeleton Keil project does not assign printf/stdout/stderr, so execution halts due to hardcoded breakpoints during systeminit before main() due to the stub libc being

Hello everyone,I am an engineer at an EMS, and one of our clients has reported an issue related to the use of the HTS221TR sensor. Our client has observed that some of their boards, on which this sensor is mounted, have been exposed to projections of a product (specifically, wine) during their usage, resulting in inaccurate measurements. Our boards are coated to prevent any degradation during their use, with the exception of the HTS221TR sensor.I would like to seek your expertise on two points:Impact of contact with wine on the sensor: Can contact with wine be considered potentially destructive for the HTS221TR sensor?Possibility of cleaning the sensor: In the event of exposure to wine, is there a recommended procedure for cleaning the sensor? If yes, could you advise on suitable cleaning products for this operation? Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions. Best regards, Axel

I've checked in svd version 1.4 : the PWR resisters are missing, just like the exti registers in this post : Solved: No GPIO registers in System Viewer drop down menu ... - STMicroelectronics Community@Imen.D Can you make a version 1.5  ?There are also unusual characters in some descriptions. Hello all. I am working with internal ADC can I know what is the internal reference voltage and how to change the internal reference voltage?

Hello everyone, for my project I am using the X-Nucleo-NFC08A1 board. In addition, I am using an external antenna that I operate differentially. The antenna is connected to the board via an SMA connector. I know that I should also adjust the matching network to the antenna. For this, I wanted to use the ST25R Antenna Matching Tool, but I have a few problems determining the appropriate antenna parameters. I have also already read out the antenna via a VNA. :  The aim of the design is to match the antenna with the matching network to 50R at a frequency of 13.56 MHz, right?

Hello,I have  a very basic question. In the spec of the U5 series there is this: Does that really mean that the U5 would not support talking to an SD card in SPI mode? I find it hard to believe since SPI seems to be the most basic way to interface with an SD card.

Hi we're using STM32L412RB controller for our development wanted to know what are preferable IDE that can be used for the software development for the purchased controller.

Hi Team,I would like to know the input capacitance for the pins (specifically for I2C pins) of the ASM330LHH IMU sensor.

I’m having some trouble related to using the FMC to interface with a LCD. We are using NE1 as chip select, LCD register select is A0, 16 bits of data.  When I’m scoping the signals, I’m seeing the A0 go high during 16 bit writes to 0x60000000 (command).  I only expect that to happen when trying to read/write at 0x60000002 (data).  I’ve attached a capture of this.  For the second byte, A0 is a 1, which makes sense for a normal memory address, but I was expecting A0 to be treated differently by the FMC since it is identified as the register select?I’ve seen other code examples where the RS used is a higher bit (ex. A18), which wouldn’t have this same problem…so I’m concerned that it isn’t possible to use A0 as the RS?This also ties into configuring the MPU correctly.  I've read up on the issues other people have had with multiple writes because of the FMC memory is configured as "normal" instead of "device" type.  But setting it as "device" type require

Hi all,I have been doing some experimentation with a LIV4F module and am trying to configure the device for a 5Hz data output rate. I see the device supports up to 10Hz.The commands I have tried via teseo suite are:$PSTMSETPAR,1190,0.2 followed by $PSTMSAVEPAR and $PSTMSRRThe device replies with $PSTMSETPAROK in repsonse to each command, but there is no effect on the observed data output rate.I am sure there is something I am missing when in comes to configuring the device.Thank you for any help.

Hello,The STM32U585 Reference Manual say these chips have one AES and one SAES peripheral. In turn each of these have an "AES core algorithm (AEA)" component. I expect that to mean that there are two physically independent AEA's on the chip. Is that correct? Thanks

Hello,I have a program that works in DMA but I would like to put a function to know when the transfer in the DMA is finished so that I can recover the data continuously. Do you have any information on this ? Here is part of my code  HAL_SAI_RegisterCallback(&hsai_BlockA1, HAL_SAI_RX_HALFCOMPLETE_CB_ID, HAL_SAI_RxHalfCpltCallback); HAL_SAI_RegisterCallback(&hsai_BlockA1, HAL_SAI_RX_COMPLETE_CB_ID, HAL_SAI_RxCpltCallback); fresult= HAL_SAI_Init(&hsai_BlockA1); if (fresult != HAL_OK) { return HAL_ERROR; } HAL_SAI_RegisterCallback(&hsai_BlockB1, HAL_SAI_TX_HALFCOMPLETE_CB_ID, HAL_SAI_TxHalfCpltCallback); HAL_SAI_RegisterCallback(&hsai_BlockB1, HAL_SAI_TX_COMPLETE_CB_ID, HAL_SAI_TxCpltCallback); fresult= HAL_SAI_Init(&hsai_BlockB1); if (fresult != HAL_OK) { return HAL_ERROR; } fresult = HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA(&hsai_BlockA1, (uint8_t *)playbuf_RX, (sizeof(playbuf_RX))/4); if (fresult != HAL_OK) { return HAL_ERROR; } fresult = HAL_SAI_T

Hi,I recently upgraded to macOs14.2 while running IDE@1.13.2. This worked for a while... 2-3h. All the sudden the IDE kept crashing on me. So I upgraded to 1.14.0 which did not solve the problem. I can't even press on the small > icons to drop down additional information like files/settings.In the console I only get: /Applications/STM32CubeIDE.app/Contents/MacOS/stm32cubeide SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder". Hi Everyone,I would like to know what PCB design software you are using in MacOS for a professional development. Could you give me some suggestions? Because Windows crashes a lot on my laptop and I'm looking for a more stable system. I always use Altium Designer. Thanks for your help. Best wishes,Gerald

I'm running an STM32L452RCTX uC, and I'm trying to implement a 2.5Vref+ ADC.Things weren't looking quite right on the pins I intend to implement, so for now I'm driving a floating TP with a power supply so I can directly test input vs output. When driving the pin to ground, the output is around 2000 (I've seen it in the 198X through 200X range). When increasing the voltage, I reach the full 4095 at 2.35V, which I feel is reasonably close to my measured 2.482 reference for my application.I've scoured everywhere I can think of, and I can't seem to find any information on why this might happen.  The behavior is almost as if the Vref- is somewhere near -2.5V, but I have that pin (confirmed through measurement) tied to ground. As for circuitry, I have 3.3V running through a 470 ohm resistor to the top of a 2.5V zener (LM4040), across two caps to ground (2.2uF and 0.1uF), and through a series 0 ohm resistor into the Vref+ pin.  The Vref- pin is soldered directly to the ground pl

Hello,I'm designing a pcb with a STM32L031 MCU. I will use serial UART2 for bootload and debug. In ST application note nº2606 and "STM32L031x4 STM32L031x6 datasheet", it is said :"The boot loader is located in System memory. It is used to reprogram the Flash memory byusing SPI1 (PA4, PA5, PA6, PA7), USART2 (PA2, PA3) or USART2 (PA9, PA10). SeeSTM32™ microcontroller system memory boot mode AN2606 for details."My question is : Is it possible to flash the device with USART2 but with USART2_TX located on PA14 and not PA2 ?My application context makes it mandatory insofar as PA2 is already used for ADC purpose.Thank you very much for any help !

HelloI would like to confirm with you the power on reset behavior of TS334.When I power up the comparator, I see a high level impulse during power on.I guess there is a power on reset behavior of TS334. In the following figure, the blue curve is the supply voltage, the yellow curve is the output of comparator.I guess the POR time of TS334 is roughly 50us. Could you confirm this?

Hello!I have created a project using cubemx a few years ago. i know which cubemx version i have used in this project but i cant seem to find out which cube repository version i have used.  What is the way to find it? can i find the repository version somewhere in the code?  thanks in advance for your advice :)

Hi, I'm trying to create my first project with ethernet on STM32H7. I tried to give an example with a nulceo with a similar chip and I succeeded, now I'm moving on to my custom board.I configured the system with STM32CubeIDE, generated the code and just tried to launch the program, what happens is that during initialization, at this point:  /* Dummy read to sync with ETH */ (void)SYSCFG->PMCR; /* Ethernet Software reset */ /* Set the SWR bit: resets all MAC subsystem internal registers and logic */ /* After reset all the registers holds their respective reset values */ SET_BIT(heth->Instance->DMAMR, ETH_DMAMR_SWR); /* Get tick */ tickstart = HAL_GetTick(); /* Wait for software reset */ while (READ_BIT(heth->Instance->DMAMR, ETH_DMAMR_SWR) > 0U) { if (((HAL_GetTick() - tickstart) > ETH_SWRESET_TIMEOUT)) { /* Set Error Code */ heth->ErrorCode = HAL_ETH_ERROR_TIMEOUT; /* Set State as Error */ heth->gState = HAL_ETH_STATE_ERROR; /* Return

When I configure 8 EDATA sectors withFLASH_OBInitStruct.OptionType = OPTIONBYTE_EDATA;FLASH_OBInitStruct.Banks = FLASH_BANK_1;FLASH_OBInitStruct.EDATASize = 8;HAL_FLASHEx_OBProgram(&FLASH_OBInitStruct); and then I read the result: FLASH_OBInitStruct.Banks = FLASH_BANK_1;HAL_FLASHEx_OBGetConfig(&FLASH_OBInitStruct);The FLASH_OBInitStruct.EDATASize member has the value 3. This is caused by two issues:In CMSIS/Device/stm32h563xx.h (and 562xx, 573xx and 503xx as well)#define FLASH_EDATAR_EDATA_STRT_Msk (0x3UL << FLASH_EDATAR_EDATA_STRT_Pos) /*!< 0x00000003 */while according to the datasheets this field is 3 bits wide:I've changed the mask to 0x7.Now when I read EDATASize, I get the value of 7 (instead of 8).This is because FLASH_OB_EDATAConfig uses EDATASize - 1, but FLASH_OB_EDATAConfig fails to add 1 to the result.I've modified FLASH_OB_GetEDATA to add 1 to EDATASize, and also made a check on FLASH_EDATAR_EDATA_EN to avoid that zero FLA

Yesterday, the thread view changed from showing about 3 threads per page to about 10 or so by only showing the title and not a preview of the contents. It is so much better. It's something that has been suggested by myself and others multiple times. So thanks for that.I'm hoping this was a deliberate change and won't be changing back.I think it also shows users that the title matters so they should be more incentivized to pick a good title rather than something like "XYZ doesn't work". Glad we don't have many posts with the entire post in the title anymore.Progress.
