Hello everyoneI'll receive soon a custom board based on an STM32 microcontroller (still not sure about the specific part number) and I'll have to flash FW updates on it. A few questions about it:1) There's a 4 pin header connector on the board (VCC, SWCLK, GND, SWO) and I have two STLink programmers (STLink V2 and V2/ISOL). Is this connection scheme correct? (Left header connector, right STLink 20 pin connector).VCC -> 1SWCLK -> 9GND -> 3SWO -> 132) Will this work fine even if I have no SWDIO pin on the header connector? Thank you very much in advancedNick

Hi, for our development we have selected "STM32F207ZG". The eval board which I see for MCU is "NUCLEO-F207ZG", which has pin-outs but not the required hardware interfaces on-board (usb-c fs, micro-sd, lcd, fsmc). The dev board "32F469IDISCOVERY" has some on-board interfaces but based on M4.Questions:1. Can M4 program be directly reused for M3. Any changes in compilation, as M4 has DSP hardware?2. Suggestions for dev board for above requirement.3. Does FreeRTOS have support for M3, M4 and necessary interfaces4. Can the interfaces be done without FreeRTOS libraries.Request to look into above queries.

When i moved to new version of CubeMX and regenerate code for my H7 USB project i got compiler warning about some variables. Here is difference between old and new generated usbd_desc.c file;Old file:static void Get_SerialNum(void) { uint32_t deviceserial0; uint32_t deviceserial1; uint32_t deviceserial2; deviceserial0 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID1; deviceserial1 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID2; deviceserial2 = *(uint32_t *) DEVICE_ID3; deviceserial0 += deviceserial2; if (deviceserial0 != 0) { IntToUnicode(deviceserial0, &USBD_StringSerial[2], 8); IntToUnicode(deviceserial1, &USBD_StringSerial[18], 4); } } New file:static void Get_SerialNum(void) { uint32_t deviceserial0; uint32_t deviceserial1; uint32_t deviceserial2; deviceserial0 += deviceserial2; if (deviceserial0 != 0) { IntToUnicode(deviceserial0, &USBD_StringSerial[2], 8); IntToUnicode(deviceserial1, &USBD_StringSerial[18], 4); } } As you can see deviceserial0, deviceserial1 and devices

Hey everyone, I have a problem in understanding the X-CUBE-EEPROM when using it with the STM32G0B1xx. 1. What is meant by kcycles? Does it mean 1000 cycles? The documentation (https://www.st.com/resource/en/application_note/an4894-how-to-use-eeprom-emulation-on-stm32-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf) says i have 10kycles per page. One page saves up to 252 elements. Does it mean I can write a 32bit (4 byte) variable 252 * 10000 times? What happens after that?2. I am thinking of implementing my own smaller version of the emulated eeprom. I have 2 variables (8 bytes) which I continuously need to write to the flash. So I could write each variable at a fix memory address, lets say 0x08080000 and 0x08080004. Of course I would loose all the benefits of having data retention, etc. but how often could I write a new value to these addresses? Over the lifetime of my use case (a battery) the variable could be written 300.000 times, at always the same address, is this feasi

Hi,When I save modifications into Device Configuration Tool, the IDE do an update. It can't get the file stm32cube_fw_f7_v1161.zip, timeout. It's probably linked to my professional proxy configuration, but I can't resolved it currentlySomeone can help me ?Where can I found and download this file ? Thanks in advance.

I have a working code generated with STM32CUBEMX and TouchGFX 4.17, which I compiled with Keil using ARM compiler version 5. Now, we have updated the setup, and while trying to compile the code with ARM compiler version 6, Keil throws an error saying 'error: use of undeclared identifier 'assert''. This error occurs in more than 2000+ files related to TouchGFX. I checked the files where it is throwing errors, and each file has a header #include <touchgfx/hal/Types.hpp>. In the file Types.hpp, the following headers are included:     #include <assert.h> #include <stdint.h> #include <touchgfx/hal/Config.hpp>     I went through the following articles, but the error still persists. How can I resolve this issue? https://developer.arm.com/documentation/ka004216/latest/ https://developer.arm.com/documentation/100073/0618/The-Arm-C-and-C---Libraries/Tailoring-the-C-library-to-a-new-execution-environment/Program-exit-and-the-assert-macro

Hello Everyone, For a project, I'm using a NUCLEO-L432KC board and it is connected to external sensors, Tx, and Rx (which work with 4-5 V). I want to use an X-Nucleo-LPM01A to measure its power consumption. Based on the NUCLEO-L432KC documents, I have to open SB9 and SB14, then NUCLEO-L432KC can be powered on by X-Nucleo-LPM01A then we can measure the board power consumption. But there is a problem.  if I use this method I can't use ST-LINK and USB to program the NUCLEO-L432KC board and I can't change some parts of the code. Each time, I have to solder them again, program the board, and then open the solder bridges SB14 and SB9.Now the question is, is there any alternative solution?I really appreciate your help

hello everyone!from the link Solved: STM32U5 Can't exit STOP2 mode with LPTIM - STMicroelectronics Communityit is possible to make LPTIM work in stop2and there is a macro，__HAL_RCC_LPTIMx_CLKAM_ENABLE(), where x can be 1, 3, or 4. but in my project，(STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.19.0)，I can't find this macrois there anyone who can help me, how to make lptim work and wakeup from stop2thanks for your help!

I have a sensor which send LIN message to vehicle, I want to read value of current, voltage, etc, form this message by SMT32. I connect LIN Wire to IO of MCU. How can I connect and analyze data?

Using an STM32H723 I started with a non interrupt USART connection onto a wifi module.I set up the connection on UART3 implementing nothing more than that and using these instructions  int len = sprintf(tx_buff,"AT+GMR\r\n");HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart3,tx_buff,len,100); Followed up with polling instructions to capture the data. if( USART3->ISR & UART_IT_RXNE ){rec1_buff[reccount] = USART3->RDR;reccount++;}Now the above works so now I wanted to do this using interrupts.I then set the interrupt and used the above transmit instruction but no receive packets are ever returned.I have a workaround I put the same receive instructions in a standard timer interrupt and capture the data so I have a solution that works for me. Systick is too slow but I can set a really fast timer interrupt instead for capture. I am puzzled why no packets are returned and the interrupt handler (I just put a breakpoint in the handler) never fires at all. Any advice on this

Hi I'm KIM from south Korea. My MCU is "STM32H735ZGT6". I want to change the clock of ADC1 within the code.I set up the clock of ADC1 in CUBEMX Clock Configuration about 80Mhz, but I want the clock of ADC1 about 75Mhz. How can I change the clock? Thank you.

This should be simple, but I can't find documentation.   I am running an STM32L4P5 at max clock speed (120 MHz), and I have moved all code to SRAM so it is running with zero wait states.    I have an extensive calculation to do using the FPU -- I am optimizing retained constants and such in the FPU registers.  I am wondering if any of the FPU instructions take longer than a single clock tick to execute.   Divide?  Square root?  Are there any inserted wait states? If there is a solid answer and it is in the documentation, please point to where it is docced.    Thanks!

Hi ST, can you please look into this link STM32CubeProgrammer & STM32CubeMonitor support SEGGER's J-Linksand let us know which version of the cube programmer support jlink. A.Satt

We transitioned from BLUENRG-M0L to BLUENRG-M2SP. We did some basic application testing with the X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 platform, and we had the example application up and running seamlessly. However, we’ve encountered an issue when integrating the BLUENRG-M2SP with our existing boards. I’m having trouble running the example application. The module and the main controller talk via SPI. While going through the data sheet, I discovered that the BLUENRG-M2SP module must be in Mode “100” pin configuration to be able to talk via SPI with our main controller. Question:Does the module come in “MODE 100” out of the package or is this something we must do at our end. Any clarity on the topic would help us a lot.

Hello Team,  We want to develop a BDLC driver with high power. We went through the below product, it matches other requirements except for output current, it is only up to 1.5AMotor Control Nucleo Pack with NUCLEO-G431RB and X-NUCLEO-IHM16M1can u suggest a similar module that can support high voltage of up to 60V and a current of up to 20A.it should be able to operate sensored and sensorless  and also on encoder feedback. Regards,Sayali

In the reference Manual of STMH730, on Table 543, page 2825, there's a Port "ETH_PHY_INTN" listed. Where ist that port? Or where can I configure the GPIO to use for it? I cannot find anything in the datasheet.

Hello,    I am trying to better understand the relation of how the SYSCFG_EXTICRx and the EXTI_RTSR1 registers correspond. In the manual as I understand, the SYSCFG_EXTICRx registers are used to setup a pin on the EXTI line for interrupt use by setting your desired port config. Looking in the manual at the EXTI_RTSR1 register, I believe the 0-15 bits are used for the corresponding lines that the SYSCFG_EXTICRx register sets. However, there is bits 16-21 which if anyone knows what or how they are used?       Any clarification would be appreciated. I am just trying to clarify my understanding is correct and what these other bits are referring to. Thanks

Hi, i have a custom board with a STM32 and a Touchscreen. The TSC is connected via I2C to the STM32.There are other I2C slave devices connected to this I2C bus, as well. And i have two threads, a system thread and a gui thread (where Touch GFX is running in). So when a Touch is detected, the TSC is firing an interrupt and the TSC driver is reading the TSC registers. But when i do this TSC driver stuff in a TouchController class it is executed in the gui thread, right? So when in the system thread are I2C accesses to other I2C slaves, too, sooner or later a collision will occur. So the only way to deal with this as i see it is:- ISR of TSC sets a flag bTouchEvent- in the system thead is:  {    if (bTouchEvent)    {       Read_Out_TSC_via I2c();   }  do_other_I2C_device_stuff }-  Driver Instance of TouchController just reads a structure where Read_Out_TSC_via I2c() stored the touch. No I2C acce

I have a question when I read the reference manual of STM32F405, and it says that "for odd values of RCR, if  the RCR was written before starting the counter, the UEV occurs on the overflow (which should be underflow  as I have seen in TIMx_RCR function description from STM32F103 to ST... - STMicroelectronics Community)And the reference says that  any write to the TIMx_RCR register is not taken in account until the next repetition update event . So my question is in center aligned mode if it is the first time we write the RCR after starting the counter and when will the first UEV happened ?

[EDIT: S'OK, I need to think about this more, but I can't find a way to delete a message so am just marking this as one to ignore]I am just moving from STM32F4 to STM32U5.  ThreadX seems to be the thing for STM32U5 (if one doesn't want to use Zephyr) but I need to be able to use FreeRTOS also, so I have moved all of my code to CMSIS (V2).  However, I am not able to find cmsis_os.h/cmsis_os2.h for ThreadX.  For instance, in the STM32F4 case the CMSIS API for FreeRTOS can be found under the Middlewares/Third_Party/FreeRTOS/Source directory. The STM32CubeU5 only contains "template" cmsis_os.h/cmsis_os2.h files but I don't want a template of my RTOS interface, I want the actual RTOS interface that ThreadX will abide by.  The cmsis_rtos_threadx directory of STM32CubeU5 only contains the .c file, no headers. The ThreadX repo doesn't contain a CMSIS adaptation at all.Where do I find the CMSIS adaptation API that ThreadX will abide by?

I have generated code for STm32U5G9J-DK2 via cubeMX, included FreeRTOS and touchGFX designer middleware. Once I compile I get error "sorry, unimplemented: Thumb-1 hard-float VFP ABI" from multiple locations (total 29 errors). I ma not sure what I am missing or the root cause of these errors.Need help with it. Thank you.

Hello,I'm new to STM32 MCU and have just started learning about them. I want to interface the PS2 keyboard with the NUCLEO-F446RE board. I don't know what hardware will I require to do it. Will I be requiring any adapter board for it?Please help me.

Hi,Run from CubeIDE had not seen any issues until yesterday, but since then I can't run from CubeIDE, and don't know why.Download in CubeProgrammer is OK. I found if I do a mass erase on full chip in CubeProgrammer, then I can run once in CubeIDE. This is the error message:RegardsChao
