I'm trying to use CMSIS DSP on a STM32H563, but I do not get the expected results. In X-CUBE-ALGOBUILD.1.3.0, when I select DSP Library  in STM32CubeMX, the installed arm_math.h does not list Cortex-M33 support: #error "Define according the used Cortex core ARM_MATH_CM7, ARM_MATH_CM4, ARM_MATH_CM3, ARM_MATH_CM0PLUS, ARM_MATH_CM0, ARM_MATH_ARMV8MBL, ARM_MATH_ARMV8MML" I also looked at X-CUBE-DSPDEMO, which only contains pre-built libraries for cortexM4/M7. And when I just link and build the CMSIS-DSP c files and try to run a test like this:q31_t in = 25;q31_t out;arm_sqrt_q31(in, &out);the result equals 231704 instead of the expected value 5.I am defining -DARM_MATH_HELIUM -DARM_MATH_AUTOVECTORIZE What would be the official way to use CMSIS-DSP on the STM32H5?Is CMSIS-DSP supported at all on Cortex-M33?

Hello ST community,   I am currently programming an ECU system, using f446re nucleo board. Right now i am trying to communicate with BMS using CAN communication. So far, everything has been set: CAN Initialization and start, sending works properly. The issue i am facing is that i cannot receive frames from battery, even though i can communicate with laptop for UDS protocole (Reception works properly in that case), but when i try with the battery, the debug mode doesn't stop at the rx interrupt routine. I have verified the CANFilter configuration to make sure, i didn't see any mistake, nothing has been changed but i only can communicate with UDS frames and not with batteries. for example: frame ID 0x586 entering fifo0 with such a filter:   void CAN_Filter_FIFO0(CAN_HandleTypeDef* hcan) { CAN_FilterTypeDef canfilterconfig; canfilterconfig.FilterActivation = CAN_FILTER_ENABLE; canfilterconfig.FilterBank = 10; canfilterconfig.FilterFIFOAssignment = CAN_FILTER_FIFO0; canf

Hallo Community,im using an Nucleo-H723ZG board as an USB Host.im using an basic USB Mouse and the eventcallback funktion to print out the input from th mouse.the problem i have now is that i dont get many of the informations from the mouse like the Vendor IDand others.how can i ensure that i get the VID of the Mouse on my Nucleo.

 Hi,I'm a little lost, I would like to use the alternative6 (AF6) function on my stm32f405. I tried to do it via cube mx by configuring the pins but the generated code seems strange to me :So for me I'd like to use SPI3 with PB3/4/5 so AF6 in datasheet. But if I configured that on cubemx I got this:  static void MX_SPI3_Init(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE END SPI3_Init 0 */ /* USER CODE BEGIN SPI3_Init 1 */ /* USER CODE END SPI3_Init 1 */ /* SPI3 parameter configuration*/ hspi3.Instance = SPI3; hspi3.Init.Mode = SPI_MODE_MASTER; hspi3.Init.Direction = SPI_DIRECTION_2LINES; hspi3.Init.DataSize = SPI_DATASIZE_8BIT; hspi3.Init.CLKPolarity = SPI_POLARITY_LOW; hspi3.Init.CLKPhase = SPI_PHASE_1EDGE; hspi3.Init.NSS = SPI_NSS_SOFT; hspi3.Init.BaudRatePrescaler = SPI_BAUDRATEPRESCALER_2; hspi3.Init.FirstBit = SPI_FIRSTBIT_MSB; hspi3.Init.TIMode = SPI_TIMODE_DISABLE; hspi3.Init.CRCCalculation = SPI_CRCCALCULATION_DISABLE; hspi3.Init.CR

HiI have a new PCB design using the ST25R3918 chip. The application is quite simple: An NFC tag (sticker) identifies a consumable in a machine. The PCB/NFC reads the tag to check simple data. The distance from the NFC coil to the tag is fixed in the machine, 15mm +/- 5mm.In free air, I have a reading distance of appr. 50 mm, very stable. Great! My problem is in the machine:The NFC tag is mounted on the outside of a bag-in-box system. The bag is coated with aluminium. Not good, I know...6 mm cardboard makes a distance to the aluminium bag, so that we have a max reading distance of app 30mm.This is actually OK.BUT: There is a "dead spot" somewhere in the middle of the reading distance. The spot is like 1-2 mm wide. Very little difference can make it work as a charm, or just fail.See below.I don't see this dead gap when the tag is not on the bag, so the problem is close related to the aluminium bag under the tag. Why does this dead spot happen? My theory is that the PCB/GND and the al

Hi ,      I was given by a task to connect an external load to STM32L562 for USBPD. Do you guys have any idea how to start and what to do in the inital process. Task details Support all 100W+ USB PD EPR power profiles using standard USB PD 3.1 parameters, 100W (20V @ 5A),  140W (28V @ 5A) , 180W (36V @ 5A) , 240W (48V @ 5A).  240W may not be able to be tested during this phase due to market availably of OTS 240W supplies, however functionality should be added for future useRequires an external load on the module connectors to validate power delivery output capability

Hello,I am new on Nucleo-H743ZI2. Im trying to test the ETR mode on TIM2 (PA0), TIM3 (PD2) and TIM4 (PE0). I used the same code and setup for all the 3 timers. But only TIM2 functions properly. TIM3 just can increase once then the CNT will not increase anymore. TIM4 does not have any response on the pulse input, and the CNT does not change at all. I use a jump wire connect the 3.3V to each of the ETR pin to generate the pulse. Can someone guide me what I should do on TIM3 and TIM4? Is there any special setting I need? Thanks in advance. /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */uint16_t Counter_Tim2;uint16_t Counter_Tim3;uint16_t Counter_Tim4;/* USER CODE END PV */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim2);HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim3);HAL_TIM_Base_Start(&htim4);/* USER CODE END 2 */ while (1){/* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */Counter_Tim2 = __HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim2);Counter_Tim3 = __HAL_TIM_GET_COUNTER(&htim3);Counter_Tim4 = __HAL_TIM_GET_COU

Hello everyone,I have to use the ADC 16b converter with DMA which does not work if DCache is enabled but, to use LWIP and RTOS it is necessary that DCache is enabled.Does anyone know how to fix the problem?Thank you in advance

I have Accessability settings set up in Windows but CubeIDE seems to ignore them so the text is too small to read. Clock Configuration is scaled to fit in the page with no scrollbars whilst Project Manager uses about 1/16 of the available space

Hello,I am developing an application on STM32H7 MCU which uses SBSFU bootloader for secure firmware updates. I am trying to combine the SFB update package with some additional data in a single binary file that is sent for the firmware. To make this work, I need to determine where the SFB update package ends and the additional data starts in the binary. To this end, I check the firmware header of the update package. I noticed that the actual size of the SFB update package is 1024 bytes larger than the update size reported in the header. I expected SFB size to be larger than the firmware itself since the SFB package contains the header in addition to the update, but the header size is only 320 bytes. So I am wondering what does the SFB update package contain and can I be sure that its size is awlays the firmware size in the header + 1024 bytes? Thanks!

i want to know the weight of the below component M24512-DRMN3TP/K.

Hello,I plan to use STM32H745 controller with touchGFX for UI. Additionally need WIFI capability. What options are available if WIFI is to be used with STM32H745? I dont want to invest time in developing a communication protocol to communicate with a WIFI module. Are there any ready made options available from both Hardware and Firmware side? Please suggest any development boards which can be used to accelerate development. Thanks Anuj

I am working on a ThreadX project on my STM32H747I-Disco with M7 and M4 cores. I want to allocate memory dynamically in the initialization phase that can be accessed from both cores. For this, I am planning to use the "tx_byte_pool_create" and "tx_byte_allocate" APIs. The former requires the starting address of the memory pool. The example in the ThreadX user guide shows that it can be any memory location, such as 0x30000000. As I want to access the pool from both cores, I assume the memory location has to be in one of these locations (AXISRAM, SRAM1, SRAM2, SRAM3, SRAM4, BKSRAM). Now, I can get the address of these sections in the reference manual, but how do I know which one to select? Some sections will be used for the stack, which can grow. How can I ensure that the section I am selecting for the pool will always be available and not overwritten by the system? In summary, I want to understand how to select the start address for the memory pool in RAM, which will remain valid indefin

Hi all,When I config the textArea initial value, the character order I config is different with the display order. After some test, I find this is because of the character "-".I already meet this multi-times, is this a bug? Thanks

I don't care if the title of this post breaks some sort of forum usage rule, I just need to make it absolutely plain that I am sick and tired of every last company on Earth insisting I have an account with them and use it whenever I so much as breathe, drink a glass of water or, Chtuluh forbid ! update a HAL library for a microcontroller. I believe there are more than enough bugs in CubeIDE, let alone actual necessary features that are missing, to keep your developers occupied forever. You did not need to waste everyone's time forcing people to login to ST. This feature brings nothing, helps no one but yourselves, and was asked by absolutely nobody, ever. So please, may I suggest you rethink this stupid, bordering on evil new addition to CubeIDE, and remove it with the next version ? FYI, some of us work in companies where our computers are not, must not and cannot be, connected to the internet. It's already tough enough installing some of your HAL libraries (the patches) while being o

Hello ST Support Team,I am currently facing an issue with the BLE functionality on my custom board utilizing the STM32WB55CE MCU. While the code works flawlessly on the STM32WB Nucleo EVK, the BLE feature doesn't seem to function as expected on my custom board.Upon further investigation, I observed a disparity in the wireless firmware version and build values between the two boards. When running the code on the EVK, I received wireless firmware version 1.13.2 with a build value of 2. However, on my custom board, both values indicate 0. Meanwhile, both boards display the same FUS version value, which is 1.2.0.I have also tried to re-flashing of BLE firmware but receive the error in flashing.I used following link for reference and follow all steps. Also used "stm32wb5x_BLE_Stack_full_extended_fw.bin" file and address "0x08051000".https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32WB_BLE_Hardware_Setup I tried to flash the BLE stack firmware multiple times but not worked in my

On STM32F205VGTX, when I put cpu in sleep by using this command: HAL_PWR_EnterSLEEPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_SLEEPENTRY_WFI); CAN peripheral stops working. It does not acknowlege bus messages anymore and there is no CAN interrupts to wake up the cpu.I had a look at the datasheet, I was not able to find whether CAN is supposed to or not supposed to work in cpu sleep mode.My question is if this is how it is supposed to be, or I need to do some more to keep CAN alive in this mode. Thanks

We're currently having issues with our inverter. To further analyze the issue, I'd like to test the proper function of the motor phase current measurement. How should I go about doing that? Since the motor currents are measured in injected mode syncronized to the timer, I cannot just insert a static current into the shunts and look at some registers. Is there a way to enable a "test mode"? Could I use the high speed plot for that?I already tried running the motor and graph the input of the motor current ADCs with an oscilloscope to compare it with some of the plotted graphs, but I could not find any that matched.

Hello,We are using the VL6180X in a IVD product and need laser test certificate documents to show the range sensor is class 1 and safe for the user. Can you send me a test reports for this part? I see a CDRH report posted for VL53L1, but couldn't find it for the VL6180.Thanks,Andrew

Dear STM32 communityI am trying to setup the ST7735 Display (ST7735) with SPI and DMA for a faster refresh rate. Without DMA everything works fine. When i setting up DMA nothing is displayed on the Display. My DMA and SPI Settings are:I want to fill the Screen with black color, for this i use the function fillScreen() from GFX_FUNCTIONS.c. To Transmit the data via DMA i have replaced the old functions in ST7735.c with the DMA Transmit function in ST7735_FillRectangle(), ST7735_WriteCommand() and ST7735_WriteData().For detail view i have attached the main.c file and the library files from the Display (ST7735.c and GFX_FUNCTIONS.c). I am using a Nucleo-G474RE Boeard with STM32 Version 1.15.1.I really someone of you guys could help me.Thanks a lot for your time!Best regards,Raphael

The Motor Pilot 6.0.0 application is not starting. I have testet it on Windows 10 on a real machine and on a Windows 10 virtual machine. When I start the application the course briefly shows that the machine is working but then nothing happens. No error messages.Has anyone experienced similar issues?
