Hello everyone, I am using an STM32U575RG, and I would like to know if anyone can help me understand or show me how to use the RTC and convert it to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

Hi All.I using MCSDK.And I want migrate the project that out Motor Control Workbench or Motor Profiler to another device project using STM32CubeMX or STM32CubeIDE.Does anyone know how to do this, or documents for this?

Hi!I’d like to know if the Vl53L8xx product series support “SPI daisy-chaining” ?For a project, I’ll need few of those, either “straight” along a line segment ( +/- like Neonode’s ZForce sensor bar ), as a “grid”, or as an “arc section” ( that is, a curved line segment ), and I’d like to maximize speed while minimize the needed pins to control the whole set of n sensors.Regarding my choice among the whole “VL53L” product lineup, it seems it’s the only one that supports SPI, which is one of the main needs for the project, the others being the smallest amount of processing needed on the “controller” uC, and a precise-enough detection of multiplemfingers up to 10cm from the sensor in a reliable manner. From what I can read in the datasheet, it does some “auto-incrementing” stuff when begin given more than the expected 15+8 bits, which may get in the way or even prevent some tricks I had in mind totally ( I guess, wrongly ? )This being said, I could also be cool repurposing the GPIO1 of oth

Hi，I would like to know the meaning of each data in the L4CX calibration data(VL53LX_CalibrationData_t in API）, because there is a lot of data for this IC, and I would like to confirm the status of the calibration from the data.Thank you.

Hello! I'm following the STM32 tutorial on External interrupts from here and got stuck. The controller doesn't react to the press of button and the IDE for some reason switched to tab of `startup_stm32h503rbtx.s`. Reproducing steps:1. Create a new project (STM32 Project)2. Select Nucleo H503 as target board3. Go to PinOut and configuration, change mode of  PC13 to GPIO_EXTI134. Go to GPIO tab, select mode External Interrupt with Falling edge, without Pull-up ot Pull-down, set user label to B15. Go to NVIC tab and enable `EXTI Line 13 interrupt`, press `Ctrl + S`6. Go to section user Code 4 of main.c and insert the following function into it: /* USER CODE BEGIN 4 */ void HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback(uint16_t GPIO_Pin) { if(GPIO_Pin == GPIO_PIN_13) { HAL_GPIO_WritePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_5, GPIO_PIN_SET); } else { __NOP(); } } /* USER CODE END 4 */ 7. Save and run Used parts:- board: Nucleo64-H503- IDE : Stm32CubeIDe 1.15.1- STLink Firmware: V

hello everyone , i am beginner in using stm32 boards . i want to interface USB webcam with stm32nucleof767zi board .where i can begin my project.

I want to get RSSI value of connected p2p Clients to p2p Server and can i able to get multiple connection of p2p clients RSSI value. The  main objective is get Client's exact distance from p2p server using RSSI.

Hello,I am working with an NFC reader with an ST25R3911B chip. The problem I am experiencing is the output power. The power emitted by the antenna is too high; therefore, my task is to reduce the transmitted power. To do this I have relied on reading your application notes. From this extensive reading I realized that there are many possible solutions to reduce the output power, including:- reducing the supply voltage of the chip;- using a single-ended antenna instead of differential antenna configuration;- designing an antenna with higher impedance;- change the antenna driver output resistance;- change the chip internal regulated voltage.Unfortunately, I am working with an already defined differential architecture that excludes the first three options (because would be optimal to not change the current HW structure of the PCB). This allows me to hope for only the last two.First of all I am assuming that these last two options do not require a change in the PCB hardware, if this is true

HI team,I am working in NUCLEO-F439ZI board, now I am doing multi-channel ADC, in that I selected ADC 1 for getting the data, in ADC1 select CH3 and CH10 and Internal Temperature sensor. The data from CH3 and 10 work fine, but the internal temperature sensor value was so what different. Check my code where I do the mistake. I attached the code and result of the program for your reference./* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file : main.c * @brief : Main program body ****************************************************************************** * @attention * * Copyright (c) 2024 STMicroelectronics. * All rights reserved. * * This software is licensed under terms that can be found in the LICENSE file * in the root directory of this software component. * If no LICENSE file comes with this software, it is provided AS-IS. * ****************************************************************************

I am experimenting with the VL53L5/VL53L8 sensors. For multi-target there are the options of target order of strongest and nearest. This is not a difficult concept. However, I am curious about the algorithm for detecting the peaks in the histogram. I assume there must be some thresholding, so small peaks caused by noise(?) are ignored. I can't see a way to set the threshold, however I see this being difficult, better different thresholds work for different ambient light levels, light noise levels etc... After some quick experiments, I haven't seen any problems. Using nearest rather than strongest target order, may be more sensitive to noise conditions. Any thoughts?

My question is, using Algobuilder (or mems studio) and unicleo, can i use for example two accelerometers (on hardware nucleo 401RE, x-nucleo ISK01A3 and steval MKI233) and get data from them simultaneously to reduce the measurement error/noise?Whats the best option for this to be made? Thanks in advance

Hello everyone,i am trying to enable the secure user memory on the stm32h743 using the x-cube-sbsfu project and have the following problem:After activating the security bit, the value of the OPTSR_PRG flash register is not changing, so the security bit is not set and therefore i cannot configure the secure user memory.I use the function SFU_LL_SECU_SetProtectionSecUser from the sfu_low_level_security.c file for the configuration and before calling the function i also called HAL_FLASH_Unlock() and HAL_FLASH_OB_Unlock().Does anyone know what could be the problem?  /** * @brief Apply Secure User Memory protection. * psFlashOptionBytes: pointer to the Option Bytes structure. * pbIsProtectionToBeApplied: Output parameter to be set as "TRUE" if * this OptByte has to be modified and immediately reloaded. * @retval SFU_ErrorStatus SFU_SUCCESS if successful, SFU_ERROR otherwise. */ SFU_ErrorStatus SFU_LL_SECU_SetProtectionSecUser(FLASH_OBProgramInitTypeDef *psFlashOptionByt

I’m using the STM32H750B-DK board to explore FD CAN integration with TouchGFX.  I currently have the FD CAN working but I can't get the touchgfx to work properly.  Is there anyway to merge a touchgfx project with a STM32H750B-DK stm32cubeide?  To clarify, I want to merge a existing stm32cubeide project with a new touchgfx file.

Hi, in my project I am try to jump 0x8002000 address . but I am facing some failure, typedef void (*FunctionPointer)(void); // Example function to jump to another addressvoid jumpToAddress(uint32_t * address) { //address =0x800029c;    // Define a function pointer with the address    FunctionPointer jumpFunction = (FunctionPointer)address;    //void (*jumpFunction)(void) = (void (*)(void))address;     // Disable interrupts if needed       __disable_irq();        // Set the program counter (PC) to the new address       SCB->VTOR = address;        // Execute an instruction to ensure that the jump takes effect       __DSB();       __ISB();        // Re-enable interrupts if needed       __enable_irq();     // Call the function via the f

I noticed that areas of internal SRAM appear to be used by GFX. I inferred this from a project I am doing with an H745 dual core micro; I set aside a small amount of SRAM4 to be shared between the cores, and I can watch on the debugger as portions of that memory space can be updated or not, depending on whether I have interacted with the LCD. This suggests that GFX is helping itself to the SRAM, and I need to know how we can declare an amount of internal RAM off-limits (or, are there documented regions of SRAM that are safe to use when running GFX?). The DISCO board uses external SDRAM, by the way.  Thanks for any insights someone might be able to offer.

I have installed Version 1.11.0 from STM32CubeIDE and have to install an older toolchain for my stm32H7 project. But Toolchain Manager throws the error "Failed to fetch the toolchain list, please check your network settings."In the thread behind this link Employee Julien D say that this is a known error, but in my case I'm not able to choose a new toolchain. Is there a workaround for this problem?

Hello,I have an STM32H750B-DK board which includes two quad SPI flash chips (MT25QL512ABB8ESF-0SIT x 2).When I use STM32CubeProgrammer to write or erase the external flash, the erase operation can only be done in 128KB units.I thought the sector size of the flash was 64KB.Why does STM32CubeProgrammer show the flash size as 128KB?Thank you for your help.

Hello!I'm trying to make a open source test board which allows people with an Arduino to try out using the STDrive101 chip. However, I'm running into an issue where it appears to be entering fault mode and refusing to leave it (leaving all mosfets disabled and making the board more or less a brick). I've attached the schematic (and here's the repo with the Kicad project and arduino code https://gitlab.com/charlesrwest/stdrive101testboard ) but I've also put a brief rundown on the setup below:Operating voltage: 12.3 volts2 massive 1000uF capacitors to keep source voltage steadyCP set to ground to disable overcurrent shutdown (so CP never higher than Vref)DT/Mode connected to ground with a 200kOhm resistor (should result in dead time of ~2000 ns).SCREF left floating to disable Vds monitoring protectionVS has a 100nf bypass capREG12 has a 22uF cap and a .22uF cap (seem reasonable?)NFault left floating, but adding a pullup resistor doesn't seem to change anything (it pulls down)I

Hi,I just downloaded "STM32L496.svd" (Version 1.3) from ST homepage and noticed that there are missing bits in register definitions:CCMR1:Bit 16 -  OC1M[3]Bit 24 - OC2M[3]CCMR2:Bit 16 -  OC3M[3]Bit 24 - OC4M[3]

I spent many hours trying to make the SPI3 works through the use of the HAL but it was doing weird things (not clearing IRQ flag so ISR was continuously called). Then I found that SPI3 is limited to a size of 1023.I also found on this forum other people having the same problem with SPI3, so I think some improvement can be done:- It would be great to have HAL function return an error when called with a too big size.- On STM32CubeIDE SFRs, SPI3.SPI_CR2 should have a TSIZE[0:10] instead of [0:16]- In RM0456 Rev 5 page 2924, I think "TSIZE cannot be set to 0xFFFF respective 0x3FFF value when CRC is enabled." is wrong (0x3FFF instead of 0x3FF, respective of what ?). I think something like this would be better "TSIZE cannot be set to 0xFFFF (0x3FF for limited feature) value when CRC is enabled.".

I have an STEVAL-MKI109V3 and the MKI238AA evaluation boards.I was unable to communicate with the MKI238AA with the UNICO-GUI software so I updated the firmware on the MKI109 with the ProfiMEMSToolV3.60.7 .bin file using the STM32CubeProgrammer following the instructions in the video below.ProfiMEMS Firmware Update using STM32 Cube Programmer (youtube.com) The MKI109 LEDs now do not switch on when the board is powered via USB and the device is no longer detected in the Device Manager. The blue LED still switches on when I place the device into DFU mode but I am unable to interact with the device outside of this mode.I am running Windows 10.What can I do to resolve this?

Hello ST experts,I am a beginner with the STM32WL series and need some support. So first I started with the STM32F407VG disc1 and I tried to communicate two boards of it using a SI4432 module and I didn't succeed, I tried something else and I bought two Nucleo-32WL55JC1 boards and tried to communicate them and it works as shown in the last post.It works as a ping pong application -you can find a better description about this application in this link page 44- after that I tried by developing the same code of the ping pong application to communicate a nucleo-32wl55jc1 with nucleo-32wl55jc2 because in the datasheet they don't use the same frequency but it works! Now I am working on RF communication between nucleo-32wl55jc2 and another RF device like a key car or a key garage with the same developed code of the PING PONG application but still I don't have any answer. My first question is if the NUCLEO-WL55JC cards are able to read RF signals from these RF devices? The second one is if th

As written in the title, the ST25PC-NFC software does not detect the STEVAL-25R3916BA reader, despite being in the list of compatible readers. What can I do?Thank you

I'm currently testing Tracealyzer but I'm having problems in using it in streaming mode. I followed the indications in video "Visual trace diagnostics with STLINK-V3, Percepio Tracealyzer and DevAlert" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZlSuq7TySA) to setup ITM but it seems not to be working. SWV is enabled, clock is set as on target, "Shared ST_LINK" flag seems to have no effect, ITM Stimuls Port is set correclty.- Tracealyzer 4.8- STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1- ST-Link V3 or ST-Link V3 Mini (same result)- No RTOS (bare metal)- Custom boardOnce the system is set up according to the video, if I start debugging from STM32CubeIDE, starting tracing from Tracealyzer gives the error "Unable to select and reset device" (in the Tracealyzer setting window the ST-LinkID is recognized correclty). The SWV Trace Log window in STM32CubeIDE shows the activity. If I start the trace from Tracealyzer I can't start debugging from STM32CubeIDE as it stops at the ST-Link firmware verification with the error "No

I have created a custom container which includes some text boxes, scrollists labels etc to allow the user to set the parameters for an alarm. I add one of these custom containers to my listlayout in code for each alarm to be set. So the user is presented with a list of alarms, and the opportunity to change the settings for each alarm. I have also created a modalwindow containing a keyboard. The desire is when the user clicks the box for an individual alarm to set the numeric value of the alarm limit, a modalwindow pops up, so the user can enter the new numeric value, which is saved into the model value and displayed in the relevant box in the list for this alarm, when he clicks save in the modal window and closes it.The problem I have is that when the boxclickhandler displays the modalwindow, it only displays the tiny portion of the modal window which covers the listlayout, rather than popping up the modalwindow over the entire screen:I guess this is because the modalwindow is a member
